I pay at the checkout and head toward my car. It’s drizzling again. I pull up the hood of my sweatshirt until I reach the car and open the door. I start the engine, and a few kilometers later I’m back at that bus stop. I stop the car and take a few steps toward the girl. She’s huddled in a corner, almost motionless. I say:

"Miss, is everything okay?"

I’m already expecting her to get angry
