Episode nine:So pathetic!.

Maxwell and the maid, Lisa peeped through the key hole and they saw that Mandy was sprawled on the floor wrapped in a blanket.

Without any signal from any of them, they pushed the door open with force.

Maxwell carried Mandy with hurry and placed her on the bed. The maid, Lisa placed her hand on Mandy's forehead and saw that she was burning up.

She went to the bathroom room and got a bowl and a clean towel.she poured water in the bowl and soaked the towel in the water, squeezed it and gently dabbed Mandy's forehead with it.

Maxwell quickly opened the curtains to allow fresh breeze and he also switched the air conditioner on.

Maxwell ordered Lisa, to get a herbal tea that he prepared, Maxwell told Lisa where he placed it in the kitchen and Lisa left hurriedly to get it.

After few minutes, Lisa came back with the herbal tea while another maid carried a first aid box into the room.

"Just drop the tea on the dressing mirror and leave. "Maxwell commanded.

"Sir, what about the first aid box?, The other maid that brought the first aid box asked.

"You can drop that as well, "Lisa and the other maid obeyed and were about to leave when Mandy opened her eyes one after the other. The first statement that came out of her mouth shocked the maids, they simply couldn't believe their ears.

"Get out!. " Mandy shouted facing Maxwell.

Lisa thought that mandy was referring to her and the other maid and was about to leave.

"Maxwell, get out of my sight and out of my room!. "Mandy shouted again.

"Man... "

"Don't make me repeat myself again "Mandy said weakly, fatigue already setting in.

Maxwell stood up reluctantly, he was ashamed because Mandy had embarrassed him in front of the maids.

"Take care of her, "Maxwell said to the two maids, his Voice almost cracking.

"Yes sir, Lisa and the other maid answered respectively.

Maxwell shut the door after him and as soon as he left, Mandy heaved a sigh of relief.

Lisa moved closer to Mandy and sat on her bed, holding her hands.

"Mandy, are you okay? Lisa asked out of concern for Mandy.

Mandy isn't as strict as Maxwell is, so she allows the maids to call her by her name when Maxwell isn't around.

Mandy's behavior towards Maxwell really took Lisa by surprise. She has been working with the Maximus for eight years and not for once has Mandy treated Maxwell in such way. Lisa knew something must have happened but she didn't know what, she couldn't even guess what it might actually be.

"Lisaaa... "Mandy couldn't say anything, the emotions was too over whelming for her and she eventually bursted into tears.

Lisa hugged her closely and Mandy burrowed her head deeper into Lisa's shoulder. Lisa allowed her to get her emotions out, rocking her back gently.

When Lisa noticed that Mandy's temperature was rising again and she was still crying, she started consoling her without even knowing the reason why Mandy was having a outburst.

"It is okay dear, everything will be fine, you will be fine... "Lisa said pacifying Mandy and that seemed to be the magic word as Mandy loud cries became silent sob and soon, it became sniffs.

When she finally raised her head up, her eyes were puffy and red. She looked really pathetic.

"Go and prepare a light breakfast for her, Lisa ordered the other maid. Aside, the old nanny, Lisa is the one that has worked for the Maximus for a long period of time. So after the old nanny left, she became the rookie and all other maid follow her instructions.

"Mandy, why don't take of your clothes, while I prepare a bath for you, Lisa said and Mandy simply nodded.

When makayla and mirabell woke up, they came up to Mandy's room and saw Lisa giving her an herbal tea.

"Oh my God, Mandy are you sick?" Mirabell asked checking Mandy's temperature.

"I should have known, you sat all by yourself yesterday. Why didn't you say anything?. " Makayla asked while Mandy simply gave a weak smile.

The girls were about to say something else when Lisa interrupted them.

"Ladies, your friend needs a little rest, why don't you come back to check up on her?. "Lisa said picking her words carefully, she didn't want it to seem like she was controlling the duo.

"You must be hungry right now, your food is on the dining "she told makayla and mirabell. The two of them went ahead to peck Mandy before leaving the room.

Mandy climbed on the bed and covered herself with the duvet, she was about to close her eyes when Lisa interrupted her.

"Mandy, do you want to talk about it?"Lisa asked calmly but Mandy shook her head negatively.

"Alright, but whenever you want to talk about what happened, am always here for you and I will never judge you. We all make mistakes, it is a part of our life but it's best that we take a corrective action to ensure that the mistake doesn't repeat itself, you will be fine. "Lisa advised her, while Mandy just nodded her head.

"I will be back to check up on you, Lisa said and made for the door.

"Thank you so much, Lisa... Mandy said before allowing sleep to take her to the dreamland or considering what happened, a land of night mares.
