C10 In the kitchen

IT HAS BEEN two hours since the small cruise has started to move in the water. The feeling of water surrounding me was making me feel uneasy but Alex was there to distract me. He brought me inside, where there was a living room, a kitchen, three bedrooms and other smaller rooms. There was rich stuff everywhere. Seeing all this made me wonder. Is he rich? Who is he? What does he do for a living? Those are the thoughts that invaded my mind. He was currently sitting beside me, of course never letting go of my hand as he showed me a recipe book. He was talking about spaghetti and meatballs. His other hand moved animatedly in the air as he spoke. His bright blue eyes filled with wonder and delight. "Do you like pasta?" He asked, turning the page over. "Yeah," I muttered. "Do you know how to make one?" "A little." "I know how to make it. I'm an expert at it. My dad taught me when I was young." He said that, and I smiled. He continued talking about his memory and all I could feel was impressed by him. He is hot. He is cute. He can cook too. What a perfect man. I pursed my lips, realising that I am developing feelings for him. He will hurt you in the end, Olivia. Stop whatever you are feeling. I want you to make me go crazy over you. I want the challenge. His words echoed around my thoughts, and I smiled, blushing quietly. "...and I won. It was so delicious, they couldn't resist. Do you want to try my pasta?" Alex asked eagerly. For a moment, he reminded me of a small kid, and I couldn't help but smile wider. "Yes." I nodded and he immediately stood up, grabbing me together with him as both of us stood in the kitchen. He placed the recipe book in front of us. Something vibrated in my thigh, and I realised that it was my phone. Glancing at Alex, he let go of my hand for me to attend the call. Suddenly, I wanted to hold his hand and just stay there and ignore whoever was calling. But that would be irresponsible, so I took the phone out of my pocket. It was Sharon. With a smile, I answered the call and walked out from the inside of the cruise. The cold air met my skin, and I realized it was already night. The sky was dark, and the moon was shining brightly. I turned to look at Alex through the window. He was cooking pasta. A smile stretched my lips at the sight of his focused face, and somehow it turned me on a little. "Hey, Sexy!" Sharon shouted on my phone, and I giggled at the term she used. "Hey, Sharon," I answered calmly. "So what are you doing? Ogling at Auden?" Sharon asked, and my eyes widened. How the hell does she know? She was met with silence. "So you are ogling at Auden." "No," I replied meekly. "Where are you?" She demanded, her voice rising. "In the middle of the sea," I answered. The park was situated near a lake that connected to the sea, and I assume that right now we are in the middle of the sea due to the absence of buildings and bright lights. "So when are you going to come to the bakery?" Sharon asked. It took a few seconds until it sank in. I had completely forgotten about going to Sharon's bakery at nine tonight. I looked at the time, and it was past nine. "You have been gone for like a lifetime! I can't remember your face anymore! I have NO IDEA what you look like!" "I'm sorry, Sharon." I tried weakly. "The old lady next to my bakery saw me and asked why I was still in the shop. I told her the reason, and do you know what she said? She said, 'That's cute!'. " "I don't get it." "Sharon is not cute! Sharon is the EVIL INCARNATION OF FEAR!" She shouted, and I couldn't help but control my laughter. "I smashed her cat right in front of her!" "Oh, my God! Sharon!" I exclaimed, and this time I couldn't control my laughter. "I promise to make it up to you tomorrow! We will go out! Okay?" "Fuck you" Sharon cursed, and I laughed again. "I said I would make it up to you!" I said, and she let out a loud sigh. "Say three words, and I will say yes." She said, and I thought. "I'll buy food." "You know me so well," Sharon said, and I laughed. "Ok. You got me. Goodnight. Take care. Go enjoy riding. The call was cut, and I only realised what she said after she hung up. My cheeks blushed red with embarrassment, and I couldn't help but chuckle lightly at the term she used. Suddenly something bright caught my eye, and I looked, narrowing my eyes at the spot of a tiny light emanating from an island far away. It was a lighthouse, but what made my eyes widen was the huge house beside it. The lights were lit, and the interiors could be seen clearly through the transparent glass. It was beautiful and mesmerising. "Pasta is served." Alex popped his head out and walked over to me with a small plate of pasta. He sat on top of a table with his plate. The problem was that the table was small, and only half of me could occupy the rest of the space. He seemed to realise my dilemma before a naughty grin stretched his lips. His hands circled my waist and pulled me until I was sitting on top of his lap. A furious blush invaded my cheeks, and he held me tightly, not planning on letting me go. "Let me go," I said, and he chuckled, his warm breath falling on the cold skin of my shoulder. It was a chilly night, and he was comfortably warm, making me want to snuggle into his chest. Cold air brushed through my hair, and I shivered. "I will keep you warm." He whispered in my ear, and I bit my lip, trying to get down when he pulled me even more tightly. A slight chuckle left his lips. Suddenly he moved, making me sit on the table completely as he stood in front of me, giving me a wink. I felt relieved and frustrated at the same time. Relief from him letting go of me and frustration because he let me go and did not hold me tightly. What is wrong with me?
