C4 Sorrow

After I had consoled her, Sharon had given me ice cream. For Alex, I had asked for one more.

I looked around the home after entering, hoping to see him, and sure enough, he was there. He was staring at a picture in front of a glass shelf.

Hey," I murmured.

At the sound of my voice, he turned around. His blue eyes quickly sparkled, and I once again found myself drooling at the sight of him. He had devilish good looks.

He looked at the ice cream and said, "Hey chocolate" I laughed at the moniker and brushed it off.

I gave him the ice cream cone and said, "I got you one too. I chose the vanilla-flavoured variety.

He responded, gently grinning, "Vanilla is my favourite, you know."

I commented, "You look sad," and he raised an eyebrow while pouting. He turned around and pointed to a picture of himself clutching a basketball while a bunch of boys were clustered together. A man who appeared to be older than forty and was wearing a whistle was posing among the lads.

He remarked, and I gasped, putting my hand on his shoulder in a consoling manner. "I just got news that my coach died last week. Somehow, I had missed the news. The funeral is today."

I'm sorry, I have to go to the funeral," he said. I realised what that indicated. No Winston today for me.

I told him, "No. Don't say sorry for that," and he grinned and pursed his lips. It's alright. When are you departing?

He gave me a narrowed-eyed look. My body tingled at his look, and when he leaned in closer, my breath caught in my throat. I said, "Come with me."

As I felt the ice cream melt and touch my hand, I questioned, "What?" "What am I going to do over there?"

I winced, attempting to hide the flush on my cheeks, and he smirked. "You can just stay beside me. Pretend to be my girlfriend." He grinned when he realised it.

"In your dreams, Mr. Alex."

He exclaimed, "Ooh." What is your preferred sex position, ?

My eyes briefly widened before I regained my composure. "The moon," you get 273,000 miles from me, it's called.

He grinned even wider, relishing the knowledge that I had just rejected him. He sighed and appeared to be having a good time. "Where have you been all of my life?"

I rolled my eyes and stepped away from him, ignoring the butterflies in my stomach with a "Urgh."

He said behind me, "You know you want me, Olivia. I can see it in your eyes."

I responded in a fun song, "No. I don't want you."

"We have chemistry, you know."

I paused on my way to the bedroom and questioned, "Chemistry?" turning to face him.

He said, "Yes. Chemistry." It's chemistry: "My atoms adore your atoms."

I laughed, but the term he uttered stuck in my head.

Love.

I quickly raced inside the bedroom after sweeping my thoughts away and calming my pounding heart.

After spending an hour getting dressed, I checked myself in the mirror to see if I looked somewhat presentable. I chose a black dress from the wardrobe after Alex requested it. Simple, with lace designs close to the collar. My golden hair was pulled back in an unkempt fishtail. Although everything was intended to be tidy, whatever

There was a makeup kit, which was fortunate for me because I used it to put dark red lipstick on my lips. Alex was waiting for me as I left the room, leaning against the wall, feeling content.

When he turned to face me, his gaze quickly moved down my body. Before carefully rising back up again, I lowered my head, chest, hips, thighs, knees, and ankles. His piercing look caused my body to become warm. His blue waves had significantly darkened, and desire shone through them. He drew closer to me, and I uncontrollably shuddered.

He leaned even lower and added, in a low, husky voice, "You are so beautiful, it hurts." His eyes moved to my lips as well. In fear about how my body was responding to him, I licked them. That gave him permission to enclose himself even more. The air scorched, and I had trouble breathing. It was far too warm.

I mumbled, "The funeral," and he stepped back. His eyes were still dark, and he appeared to be struggling.

He then completely retreated, saying, "You won't escape next time," and I let out a sigh. He supported me by grasping my wrist as we left the house together. My body started to tingle where he touched me.

We soon arrived in front of his slick, black vehicle, and as I snuck inside, he opened the door for me. Soon after, we began our journey to the church. It was a brief trip that was quiet and relaxing. We soon exited the vehicle and started navigating the mob. We received sideways glances, and as I flinched and felt a hand circle my tummy, drawing me into a powerful torso, I started to feel a bit uneasy. It seemed to soothe me in some way.

When a tall, skinny blonde female suddenly stopped in front of us, my eyes widened. She was charming. Straight golden hair covered her to the chest. Her face was heavily covered in makeup.

The girl squeaked, "Alex!" It has been a long time.

Her grating voice nearly made me cover my ears. For some reason, as she pulled on Alex's hand, I became irritated.

Alex responded with a friendly smile and "Hey."

She screamed again, pulling at Alex's arm, "Come on. You have to meet the others."

I mouthed "Olivia" as he paused, then Alex introduced me, utterly ignoring her request. "Victoria, this is Olivia."

Her gaze shifted to me. She had a sickly sweet smile on her face, but they still fought back their disdain. Hello, Olivia.
