C7 Episode 6

(Keisha’s pov)

I made my way back downstairs, my eyes wandering the room in search of Ivy. Eventually, they landed on him - the same boy from the hallway.

Ivy was sitting on his lap, kissing him passionately as his hand crept beneath her mini-skirt. The crowd around them watched with amusement, some even cheering them on.

"Got it," Ivy said, triumphantly.

I watched her carefully, noticing that she pulled something resembling a pill out of her mouth. She waved it in the air, and a wave of excitement filled the room.

"Pay up, Floyd," Davin exclaimed, tapping him on the shoulder.

Floyd smirked, placing a stack of dollar bills on the table. Davin picked up the money, counting it with an amused expression. "Next time, don't lose the bet," he teased Floyd.

Uncomfortable with the mention of the bet, I shifted in my seat and tried to avoid eye contact. But no matter how hard I tried, his gaze remained locked on me.

Davin caught a glimpse of our eye contact and spoke up. "Hey, Floyd, meet the Nun," he said, resulting in laughter erupting from the surrounding crowd.

I shot him a stern look, but he simply shrugged it off, flashing his wicked grin.

"Oh, we have already met," Floyd replied, capturing everyone's attention. Ivy's gaze shifted from me to him, and she walked over to where I sat, leaning in closer to my ear.

"You know Floyd Salvador?" she asked, her voice filled with confusion.

"Nope," I managed to reply, my confusion growing. I ignored Ivy's inquisitive look, keeping my attention focused on Floyd.

Davin interjected with curiosity, addressing both of me and Floyd. "So, Miss Nun, you know Floyd?"

Floyd nonchalantly leaned back on the couch before responding. "She made me lose the bet just a minute ago," he explained, causing murmurs to ripple through the room.

I clenched my fingers together, desperate to escape from this place. I despised Floyd and everyone present in this room.

"What the fuck!" Davin yelled. "Miss Nun, why would you do that? Do you know how much was at stake?" He laughed uncontrollably, pulling one of the twins onto his lap and kissing her.

Floyd chimed in, smirking and exposing a slight dimple on his cheek. "She could be a replacement, but she's quite stubborn," he remarked.

"She's off-limits, Floyd! Don't," Ivy protested, folding her arms in defiance.

Floyd smiled, looking infuriatingly attractive and tempting. I bit my lip, grabbed the cup of alcohol next to me, and drank it all in one gulp.

"Don't drink that, it..." Davin tried to warn, but I had already downed the entire contents. Every pair of eyes in the room shifted towards me, stunned. Even I was taken aback by my impulsive action as I tossed the empty cup onto the table.

Ivy grabbed my hand, her voice filled with anger. "Hey, what the hell?" she yelled.

I couldn't understand why everyone was suddenly so concerned, but fear began to creep in.

"Wasn't it alcohol?" I whispered to Ivy, but her expression was impossible to decipher.

"Sort of," she said, her voice squeaking. She examined the cup, desperately searching for answers or clues.

I felt strange, my head spinning as I looked around at the people in the room. Why was everyone laughing? Did I look ridiculous?

"Are you okay, Keisha?" Ivy asked, her voice slow and distorted. I couldn't help but giggle. "Davin, you son of a bitch! I told you not to spike her drink!"

He spiked my drink? Why would he do such a thing? I stood up, staggering, and reached out to grab Ivy for support. All eyes were on me as I managed to grab another cup of alcohol from the table, despite my confusion.

My attention shifted from Davin, who had a perpetual smile on his face, to Floyd, whose gaze seemed fixated on the girl sitting next to him. He flirted with her, whispering in her ear as she giggled, and then leaned in to kiss her. A sick knot twisted in my stomach as I watched them.

"Hey Floyd, looks like she wants a threesome. She can't seem to take her eyes off you," Davin shouted, his voice louder than necessary.

My head buzzed with alcohol as I took a step back, gripping the red disposable cup tightly. I glared at Davin and without thinking, I splashed the alcohol on him.

Gasps filled the room. "Take that, asshole," I managed to say, my voice shaky. Ivy covered her mouth in shock, and a grin spread across Floyd's face.

Hailey and Daisy, the twins, burst into laughter, causing everyone in the room to join in. I needed some fresh air. My stomach churned uncomfortably.

I let go of Ivy's hand and stumbled my way towards the exit. "Where are you going?" Ivy yelled worriedly as she stood up.

I waved her off, using the wall for support as I made my way out. The crowd parted to let me through, preferring to be outside instead of indoors.

Coughing, I finally breathed in the cool night air. My stomach felt unsettled as I held my hand over my mouth. I felt miserable. My eyes landed on a small bush near the pathway.

Pushing my way through the crowd, who had spilled out onto the lawn, I rushed towards the bush just in time to throw up. Relief washed over me as my stomach emptied itself.

Still squatting down, I leaned back and noticed a shadowy figure standing above me. Fear coursed through my veins as I turned around quickly, only to find Floyd standing there, his hand in his pocket.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine concern.

I stared at him, at a loss for words. Had I hit my head or something? Why was he suddenly being nice? Slowly, I stood up. "I'm fine. You shouldn't worry about me," I said, attempting to sound rude.

He didn't say anything, his gaze fixed on me. He leaned closer, and unable to move, I stood there frozen, wondering what he was doing. "W-What are you doing?" I stammered, confused and uncomfortable with his closeness.

He lifted his finger slowly and brushed the side of my lips. Numbness washed over me as a wave of electricity coursed through my body. I stared at him, my mind fixated on his lips...

"You had a bit of drool left on your lips," he whispered, stepping back.

Shyly, I quickly wiped my mouth with the back of my hand, feeling embarrassed. "T-Thank you," I managed to say.

We stood in silence until he spoke again. "Why did you drink? What were you trying to prove?" he questioned.

Lost for words, I looked at Floyd and clenched my fist. "I wasn't trying to prove anything. I had no idea your crazy friend spiked my drink," I replied, my frustration evident.

"It's a party full of crazy people, and you left your drink unattended. Are you dumb or just naive?" he shot back, his voice filled with frustration. "It could have been worse."

Anger coursed through me, but deep down, I knew he was right, and I hated that. "It's all your fault," I whispered.

Floyd raised an eyebrow and frowned at me. "How is it my fault? Did I hand you the cup?" he questioned.

I stood in silence, regretting the decision to come to the frat house. I had no intention of causing any trouble, I just wanted to leave. As I was about to walk away, Ivy stormed out with the twins and Davin in tow.

"You left your bag," Ivy said, tossing it to me. Her gaze shifted from Floyd to me, filled with concern.

"Thank God you're still alive," Davin said sarcastically, his voice dripping with disdain.

Hailey nudged him with her elbow, her eyes warm as she smiled at me, trying to ease my embarrassment. I smiled back, thankful for her support.

"Are we still going, guys?" Davin asked, redirecting his attention to Floyd. Confused, I turned to Ivy, hoping she could shed some light on the situation.

"Oh, we have a little gathering to attend. You can come along if you want," Ivy informed me.

Everyone turned to me, waiting for my answer. But after today, I was done with parties and anything involving alcohol.

"Sorry, Ivy, but I have classes tomorrow," I told her, my voice filled with regret.

Disappointment crossed Ivy's face, and I could see the same in Hailey's eyes. Floyd's gaze turned cold and expressionless, while Davin brimmed with anger.

"You're such a disappointment, Nun," Davin bluntly stated, his frustration palpable. "How did you end up with her, Ivy?" he added, brushing past me. Daisy laughed at his remark and followed him to a black jeep parked nearby.

"Let's go, guys. We don't have time to waste with losers," Davin yelled, unlocking the jeep and climbing inside.

Ivy gently touched my arm. "Don't mind him. He's always been an asshole," she assured me.

"Then why do you keep them as friends? It's obvious they're all junkies and alcoholics," I whispered to Ivy, feeling hurt and confused.

Ivy smiled. "There's more to them than that, Keisha. You would know if you tried to befriend them and understand them instead of being judgmental."

Her words caught me off guard. I hadn't meant to come across as judgmental. There was no need for her to become defensive.

"I've already texted Jordan. I'll send you his number, too. He'll give you a ride back to your dorm," Ivy said, turning to face Hailey. "Let's go."

"Bye, you were fun," Hailey said as she passed me and headed to the jeep. Floyd's gaze remained fixed on me as he sat in the front seat. It made me feel even more alone, on the verge of tears, as I watched them drive away.

Feeling desperate for someone to talk to, I pulled out my phone and dialed Jordan's number. It rang endlessly, with no answer.

Deciding to send a text instead, I noticed it remained unread for the past five minutes. Frustration began to well up within me. I glanced around, feeling surrounded by wasted students and junkies.

My father would never tolerate this behavior if he found out. Not that I was too worried. Ivy wasn't exactly close with my parents, and they never approved of our friendship.

My father always believed she was a bad influence, and my mother simply didn't like her for some reason. Pete was the only friend they approved of for me to hang out with. My mother always referred to him as a sweet soul, and my father liked him for his kind nature.

With a sigh, I dialed Pete's number, hoping to find solace in our friendship. He answered with excitement in his voice.

"Hey, bestie!" he exclaimed.

"Hey," I replied, my voice lacking enthusiasm.

"Wait, where are you, and what's with all the noise? Keisha West Jr., are you at a party?" he asked, surprised.

I chuckled, "It's a long story, Pete."

"Oh, baby girl, I've got all the time in the world."
