My heart drops as William’s words come to settle on me. An emergency. What kind of emergency could it possibly be? Did it have something to do with my new family or my pack?

“What happened?” I ask, unable to stop my worry. “What’s going on?”

“You’ll see when we reach my office.” He explains.

Frowning, I consider stopping in place, but fear that will just make matters worse
