There were many alien species on Blue Star, and over a decade there had been only twenty or so recorded in the Alliance headquarters. It was perfectly normal to encounter a new type of alien species.

The so-called Sea Alien referred to the Alien that lived underwater. They were separated from the Land Alien.

Up until now, the Alien that humans encountered were either land or sea
