C76 Merona, Rachael and Leilani

Freya’s Pov

“Merona,” she breathed again. I think she forgot how to breathe and blink.

“Merona?” A familiar voice called, Racheal’s mate.

It was the wrong time for this but I smirked. This was gonna be fun.

“Rachael, where have you been?” Leilani asked, coming to Rachael’s side, and starring Merona down.

“I’ve been in my room,” Rachael answered but she never tore her gaze from Merona’s face.

“What are you doing here?” Rachael asked, disbelieving her eyes

“I came for you,” Merona answered, marching Rachael’s stare. It was so intense that it felt as though they were the only ones in the world while we were just bystanders watching. The chemistry, the spark, we could see it, Leilani could as well.

“Who is she?” Asked Leilani, it was then that Rachael snapped her gaze and exhaled like one that was in a trance.

“She’s…she’s—-“

“I’m her girlfriend,” Merona stepped in, glaring at her, “who are you?” She questioned right back.

“I’m her mate,” the girl answered in a heartbeat. Now they went into a stare-off competition, none backing down.

“Merona!” Williams yelled, “what is she doing here? How did she find us? Who is she with? What if she led Artemis here!” He yelled out all the possibilities we refused to look at.

“Oh my gosh!” I turned to Racheal as we started moving in, the name bringing back past traumas.

“No no no, I’m not with him,” she hurriedly said, “he doesn’t know I’m here,” she held Rachael’s arms but Leilani was quick to retrieve Rachael’s arm from her grasp.

“Don’t touch her!” She snapped.

“Who the hell are you!” Merona barked

Just as Leilani was about to speak, Tobias stepped in, “what the hell is going on here,” his deep voice made me tremble.

Fuck.

He moved to my side and impulsively I inched closer to him, it was as though I craved the warmth that his body willed.

“She’s an intruder, Artemis pack member,” Leilani said, her voice losing every piece of sweetness to it.

Tobias skillfully pushed me behind him, “speak!” His voice held so much power that I’d never known existed within him.

“I’m here for Rachael, I’m here to stay and no alpha Artemis have no clue of my resident,” she said.

“He’s no alpha to us!” I said coming out from Tobias back, his hand held mine to stop me, I gasped when I felt a bolt of electricity surge through me. My eyes glanced at him briefly to see that I wasn’t the only one affected by it, he controlled his so well.

“Come in,” he said and she stepped in.

“Escort her to where she would be searched,” Tobias instructed and they bowed, “yes alpha.”

“I’ll see you later,” she promised Rachael who still seemed dazed.

“I’m sorry, but can I borrow Rachael for a minute?” I said in the most sweetest of voice to Leilani who seemed to be holding unto her for dear life. And it also appeared to me that Rachael needed help. She looked lost and broken, yet to apprehend what was going on.

“Okay, no problem,” she let her go tentatively.

I pulled Rachael by the arm and ran away into her room, I shut the door behind her and spun to face her bewildered form.

“Rachael—-“

“What am I going to do!” She rushed out.

“Oh my gosh, what are you going to do!” I shew her to a seat, she desperately needed one before she passed out.

“Freya!” She cried, “Merona is here!” Her voice came out in excitement, definitely not how she had intended, “Merona.”

“Are you excited about it?” She shot me glare and I quickly rephrased, “how do you feel?”

“I don’t know Frey,” she stood up and paced the room, biting her nails.

“You know me, I’m the worst person to render judgment so tell me how you feel, honestly how you feel,” I urged her.

She stopped right in my middle, eyes holding mine, “I feel, happy? It’s weird I should not but I do and I’m..” her voice trailed off.

“Rachaelll,” I dragged with a warning gaze.

“Any way thank you for pulling me out of there,” she said skillfully changing the topic. Not so fast though.

“Yes yes, now, how do you feel?” I returned back to my question.

“Argh! This is coming back to bite me,” she groaned and I laughed waiting for her reply.

“I feel happy, It’s bizarre but I’m glad she’s here, and this is probably worse but I miss her so damn muchhh!” She cried out.

“I miss you too,” our neck snapped to a standing Merona by the door.

Artemis’ Pov

I moved into my chambers to see her on the bed, she laid naked, her head cracked in my direction, she ran her hand through the length of her body seductively.

“Darling, I've waited for you,” she sat up as her dark eyes connected with mine particular green eyes flashed before my eyes.

Freya

Fuck her.

“Get dressed we have a meeting with the council,” I ordered.

She immediately hopped down while I walked into the shower to freshen up. When I returned she was fully dressed waiting for me.

A few minutes we were in the great hall for the meeting. It was marveling how the council quickly accepted her. They didn't have problems with her but they had with a particular person.

“Freya, is the topic,” Mark declared.

“Why?” she asked.

“Because she is the first enemy of our to escape our hold, she is planning something big, enormous,” Grey explained.

Evelyn scoffed by my side, “the only she's planning is how to survive.”

“You may be without wit, but Freya is very astute and better in that field,” Jude said, the only person for some reason disliked her.

He never regard her, not in so much high esteem as he did Freya. With Freya he was scared for her wit, with Evelyn terrified for her cluelessness.

“I believe she does not have it in her capacity to strike,” I added, weighing the possibility of that. Evelyn was right, she would only be planning on surviving.

“I strongly disagree, Freya may seem weak, but she is strong willed girl, she would be working to revenge her father,” Jude stated, “I underestimated her, we all did but every time she proved us wrong and won, she has been winning, and I think she might just finish what her father had started,” I didn't miss the glint in Jude's eyes when he said that, it held unusual spark and grin.

“That's why we have to stop her,” Rose stepped in.

“She is not a threat!” Evelyn insisted.

“You actually believe yourself?”

“She would not be a threat once she is in these halls. We have to capture her,” I said, taking the words and gleam in Jude’s eye serious.

“Why has no one caught her?” they asked.

“Enough about Freya!” Evelyn yelled, “i and my mate would find her,” she was angry.

“You will do, our Luna would find her,” Jude said, “I hope you can prove your competence now,” he added.

The meeting came to an end and immediately the door burst open, “I'm sorry to interrupt,” Iris apologized.

“Speak!” I ordered.

“We found a letter,” he announced.

“About what? Speak!” Mark urged.

“He was about to, if only you would let him speak,” Evelyn snapped at him.

“Enough! Both of you!” I yelled when I saw that it was going to escalate.

My attention returned to iris, “go on.”

“We have a reason to believe that Rachael, Merona may both be with the Luna,” he declared.

“Previous Luna,” Evelyn corrected to which no one paid heed too.

“What brings about this assumptions?” jude asked Iris.

“This letter,” he handed it over to me, I read it and passed it round to the others.

“All we have to do is find Merona, then we get hold of Rachael which would lead us to Freya,” he summarized to which Evelyn clapped to.

“First to find her!” she announced like it was a game.

‘I'm coming for you Freya,’ I squeezed the letter in my hand.
