C80 The speech

Freya’s Pov

‘I moaned as I pushed his head further, holding it in place. My head kicked back and I grabbed the bed sheet from pleasure, his tongue connected again with my throbbing inside and heaved a——’

“Freya!” I heard a faint voice,

“Freya!” they doubled, breaking through the edge and reaching out for me, I snapped my shut from my reverie.

Shit, I was drooling.

“Yeah I'm listening, I can hear you,” I quickly said.

“Are you that nervous about the speech?” Rachael asked with a smile.

“What? Yes yes,” I nodded

“Were you practicing it in your head? You seemed gone,” she noted.

“Yes, I was practicing it,” I lied, yeah I was practicing how I would writhe under a certain person’s touch.

“I can smell you,” the person leaned in from my side and whispered.

I felt all the colors in my body gather in my cheek, sparking fireflies in my stomach.

“What?”

“Shhhh,” he made a moaning sound in my ears and I felt fire in between my thighs.

‘Who said he was innocent, the person couldn't have been more wrong.’

“You know what?” he used his finger to tell me to lean in and I obliged, “I'll do whatever you want later, whatever,” he said and I forgot how to function for a minute straight.

“Now your speech,” he clapped and every sexual tension drained from my veins.

After a few minutes he introduced me onto the stage, the people clapped and cheered as I emerged from my blanket of walls.

“Woohoo,” they chanted and I waved tentatively at them, deliberating on what to say, on the right words. I had done this before, for Artemis, only then I was set on not allowing anyone to trample on me, now? I did not know what I was fighting for.

‘Freedom, your right, your place,’ my wolf spoke for the first time. I breathed in as I felt her presence, I didn't feel so naked again, so bare and without pelt.

“I don't know much to say, I begged your alpha to move the meeting so that I could come up with something good and worthy enough after those years of fight and loneliness without me, but he never did and I don't have much to say other than I'm sorry. For neglecting you, for not being there when you needed me, I'm so sorry for failing you,” I apologized and looked at all of their faces, all filled with the future as crystal as the sun.

“Lets save the blame for later because right now, our enemy has returned and he is hunting for us again, he would wipe out the last of us and carry those he deem fit as slaves, believe me, that is death in itself. There's no life. So werewolves of The Moonlight pack I urge you to fight, to fight for your freedom for your life!” they thundered. I saw the heads of people as they stood facing the house. They were all gathered in the pack compound, facing it while I stood at the balcony and spoke.

They cheered and clapped their hands, “pick up your axe, your pistol and your swords, women, men and children fight for your life, fight for your home, fight for your unborn children!”

“Yes!” they boomed.

“Fight for a name for them, fight for a land and culture to meet,” as I gingered, I placed my hand on my belly, “if we must die fighting then so be it!”

“Yes!”

“We will no longer hide out in the mountains, we would own a home, own a name and reign over territories!!” I yelled and they echoed, “yes!” with their fist balled in the air.

“We would own a name, we would avenge our alpha!” a guy shouted from within the crowds

“For snow moon pack!”

“For alpha Demitri!”

“For Freya Demitri!” Rachael shouted and they backed up with, “for Freya Demitri!”

Now I understood everything, if I led such people, I would lay my life for them any day.

“For our home!” I cried out, “and for our children!”

“Women of great strength, join the men and train, teenagers from the ages sixteen would follow in the fight and all those below would be guided by the pregnant women into safety,” I announced.

“Pregnant women, elders and children would all be seen to safety, they would be hidden away should we fall, they mustn't be slaves to our enemies,” I added.

“And what about you alpha?” asked a man from the crowd, whose head was the only thing I could spot. He pushed through and came to the front. He was a short man with a bald head.

“I would lead the war,” I said in agility.

“But you are preg—-”

“I can fight, I was taught and I have alpha Tobias with me to train me,” I cut in, interrupting Rachael. I flashed her a look that told her not to say anything.

She gave me a disbelief look but kept shut.

“You are just like your father,” he commented and for the first time since I learnt of my father's sacrifice I smiled as I welled in pride.

I was my father's daughter.

And I was so fucking proud of it.

“Yes I am,” I said in agreement.

I felt Tobias' hands brace on my shoulders and I said, “I would love to talk more with you but alpha Tobias is here,” he guided me to his side as he resumed the stage with me by his side.

“The ground would be opened for training, all men are advised to join in and contribute any idea he thinks may help us,” Tobias said.

“Yes alpha!” they echoed.

“Williams would help you train while he shows you the newbie their ways around the arena.”

“Go and win!”

“Go and win!” they repeated and dispersed around.

“Excuse me Alpha, can I speak with you?” an unfamiliar voice asked.

Tobias turned to the lady, “I'll get back to you later,” he told her.

“Not you, you,” she pointed at me and I gasped, “you want to speak with me?” I asked just to be sure.

“Yes,” she nodded along.

“Wait for me by the field, I'll stop there soon,” I instructed her and she bowed and walked away. Bliss swelled within my heart and a smile etched over my cheeks.

“Why won't you tell them that you are pregnant?” Rachael asked me by my side to which Tobias groaned. Apparently he had plans for me. I still didn't know if it was love or lust but I didn't mind, I desperately needed a shoulder right now.

“Because I don't want them to think of me as a traitor, ask me questions on why I'm carrying the enemy's child and lastly I don't want some label on my baby in her life, she is innocent, I don't want her fathers mistake to scar her life, no,” I affirmed. I loved my people, but many of them won't buy the idea of bearing the enemy’s child. Parents to be specific, not after Artemis had robbed them of theirs somewhere somehow.

“I get,” Rachael nodded, “but be mindful, don't train too much,” she advised.

“I completely understand, although you should tell that to one of my teachers,” I sent a pointed look at Merona who maintained her poker look but was grateful that I sent Rachael her way.

Rachael didn't respond, she muttered, “Be careful,” and left.

I nudged Merona to go after her love; Rachael.

When the vicinity was free of persons, Tobias drew me nigh and spread wet kisses on my neck, “your speech was beautiful,” he complimented

“Thank..you,” I said in between moans.

“Now for that everything I promised to give to you,” he picked me up in a bridal style and marched up to his room.

His soft velvet lips connected with the soft spot on my neck and I cried out, “mark me Tobias,”

“What?” he leaned back.

“Mark me.”
