C87 Unveiling secrets

Artemis Pov

We marched back home, I was pissed as hell, Freya managed to escape with my baby and then, that mut, how dare he take what belonged to me. I would make him regret crossing paths with me.

“Alpha what should we do?” asked Iris. He was serious, his stride and face sturdy.

“Fetch the girl from the cell, bring Loretta in, she will prove useful once more,” I commanded.

“Yes Alpha!” he bowed and walked away but just then I caught sight of Oslo, Oslo should do the job.

“Iris!” I called and he came to a halt, he swirled round and faced me, “let Oslo get her, you fetch Luna,” I instructed and walked off into my room.

Walking into my room, I had a quick shower and walked out back, I emailed the court, demanding an urgent meeting.

Freya wasn't getting away with my child, where she lays or whoever nestled her would be destroyed, she belongs to me.

Aegeus was furious, snarling inside of my head at the fact that his mate was snatched out of his grasp. He wanted blood, to destroy that little pup of an alpha to pieces. How dare he take what belonged to us.

‘Blood!’ He snarled and I couldn’t agree more with him. I wanted blood as much as he did and we would get it.

With a clenched jaw, I strolled out of my room, into the hall where I could already see some court members.

Jude was present and his look was sickening, I couldn’t tell if he wanted to laugh at me or reprimand me for losing.

It was likely both, a failure from me was a failure to the pack and secondly he wanted to laugh because I had yet again underestimated Alpha Demitri’s daughter.

“Alpha,” they chanted in unison, their faces were all hard and sturdy, no one found it funny, we had lost. Yes we took over that land now, but the target was Freya and all the traitors that followed her. All of our targets were missed, we didn’t return with either of them.

I sat and they did also, it was only during war that they obeyed me like they should.

Iris had not returned with Evelyn, he must've seen the message, I took my phone and noticed that I didn’t send it to him. Well whether I did or did not, he should be here quickly.

The door to the courtroom was kicked open by an angry Oslo who was dragging a very stubborn Loretta in.

Not in the mood for any rubbish I stood up and slapped her hard across the face, “you will respect me!” I spat but she glared at me in return.

A smirk curled up at the side of my mouth, “bring her brothers in!” I instructed one of the guards and they nodded and went away.

“You are sick and an egoistic fucker!” She snarled.

I didn’t listen as what I was about to do would make her wish that she’d shut up.

They shoved her in and she fell on the cold tiled floor, the marble tile my father chose for the courtroom.

“By the look of your face I could tell you didn’t get her right? You would never no matter how hard you try,” she spat.

“You should mind your tongue this instant young lady!” Jude said from his spot.

Her neck cracked to the side and her eyes fell on him, with that a loud maniacal laugh left her. She cackled, “you, you were actually working against the court weren't you?” she stated more than asking.

It was no secret that sometimes people connived and worked against the court. What made it different was that it was never spoken of, it always remained in the dark, that was the rule, because should it come to light some bad things may happen.

“You should control your tongue here, don't speak without care, there are consequences,” said jude in a warning tone.

Loretta scoffed, “consequences,” she chuckled, “consequences be damned, I don't give a fuck,” she snarled.

“Oh you will child because from your words comes a very big scandal that you can't prove,” he cautioned but she was having none of that. She didn't care.

“Oh no! That's where you missed it, I actually have a proof,” she shocked everyone in the court.

“What?” they echoed in surprise, even those I knew were accomplices, “how?” they inquired.

Another rule in the court, if ever you were caught, you were to fall down alone as everyone would deny you, accomplices or not.

I saw Jude flinch but in a blink of an eye, the anxiety was replaced with an unknown calm.

My eyes went to Loretta who was staring at me smiling like a lunatic, she stood up from the ground, chains rustling against one another.

“Are you asking?, your Alpha here is very much aware, ask him if it's a ——” Oslo slapped her hard across the face and she fell down.

She coughed and choked out blood, “they won't allow me speak the truth, so I'll say another,” she grunted and staggered to her feet.

“My father was an accomplice,” she revealed and they gasped.

“Oh don't be so shocked, he worked with some of you,” another revelation and they shrieked back.

“You, you, you, you,” she pointed at them and they snarled in return. “Why is no one shutting her, shut that dirty mouth of hers,”

“Strap her mouth!”

“She talks too much, I guess she took after her father, traitors!”

“She should be killed!” and she laughed again, “oh yes please, that's what I so desperately want.

“Then worry no further, your wish will come true,” Jude said.

Iris was still not here.

Why?

“Oh the big scary man, I'm so scared,” she acted.

“You were supposed to protect my father after starting that rumor about the company you work for; which of course were not rumors, Alpha Artemis products were endangering people’s health but you did not, you let him kill my father,” she pointed an accusing finger at me.

“He stayed in the cell, gods help me how long and then your Alpha killed him and when I came to him he feigned ignorance,” she turned to me, “you even lied to Freya, your mate, I wouldn't blame you, if I were you I would not let her see how much of a monster you are.”

“Stop her!” shouted another.

“Why? I would be killed right, I might as well speak as I wish before my death,” she chuckled.

“You all sided with jude, Grey, Mark, Rose and Alex, you all are with jude and for what reason? For what? To take over the pack,” she said and everywhere fell silent.

“Seize her! Capture her!” yelled Mark.

“Oh dear, I am seized and captured already,” she raised her chained wrist as if to emphasize her point.

“Jude here was missing, you know why?” she resumed, Loretta snickered, enjoying her little show. “Because you al—-,” she was smacked hard against her cheek, sending her to the ground.

“You know why?” Oslo struck her again causing her to fall down to the ground.

While on the ground, she roared into a fit of laughter, “Artemis imprisoned him,” she said quickly laughing and all eyes were turned to me.

“Yes that's right, your Alpha captured a fellow court member and tortured him, with his son!” she followed quickly again, back against the floor as she laughed staring at the ceiling.

Oslo came up and punched her, his boot connected with her stomach making her cry out in agony.

“It's true! She speaks the truth!” Jude shouted, causing everyone to pause, breathing and glancing at him.

I went mad, “all that she said, they were all true, he captured my son and tortured him, why!” he snarled, “why? Because I organized a group of people against him.”

“Jude have you gone mad! Are you insane!”

“What are you saying!”

“Come to your senses!”

They all demanded at their own detriment, if jude was confessing, it meant they were all in for it, their secret would be out in the open and they couldn't allow that.

Jude laughed just like how Loretta had laughed and walked out, “My son may be dead and I'm here helping the enemy. She speaks only the truth,” he turned to me, “and Freya, she would be your downfall. I see your anger and I know you fear it.”

“Not only does he fear it, he can't believe he did not have what he wanted, he's still in love with her,” Loretta piped in from the ground where she layed, breathing raggedly.

She laughed, “he's still in love with her, the woman you made suffer.”

I struck her hard, not able to contain my anger, just then the door bursted open to some guards, dragging Loretta’s brothers in and I smirked.

Time to pay for your sins.

“There are consequences for disrupting the peace of the court,” I told her and walked over to her brothers. I yanked the eldest.

“Make her look!” I instructed and the guards went and posed for her to look.

“I'm sorry,” she whispered.

“Of course,” I snapped his head three sixty degrees and he dropped dead.

“Any one again wants to try me!” I yelled
