C5 Chapter 5: An Old Comrade

"Head of Security?"

asked Miss Han as she with a look of disbelieve planted on her face as she crossed her hand and set him with a glare

"I don't remember ordering for any thing like a security agent"

"and I would know seeing as I basically did everything as his manager" stated Miss Han

"stop lying and say the truth"

"are you the one who planned for this so that you could be deemed the hero" said Miss Han as she continued to give him the glare

'Wow!'

'grumpy much'

thought Kim as he saw that she didn't believe him

'I don't want to fight nor did I wanted to reveal myself now'

'it seems I don't need to find a way to explain myself seeing as they do not believe me I'll just be on my way' thought Kim as he proceeded to walk away

"you're him ain't you?!" shouted Eun soo as a look of recognition came to his face

"excuse me... " said kim

Miss Han hearing Eun soo turned her glare from Kim to him

"Eun soo do you know him?" asked Miss Han

"Yes I do"

"not only me but Hyung as well" stated Eun soo

"Me!?"

"I don't remember ever meeting him" stated Soun as he tried to defend himself from Miss Han stare

"Hyung have the forgotten about the message you got three days ago" stated Eun soo

"what message?"

"I don't remember anything like that" said Soun as he tried to move further away from Miss Han

Throughout all this Miss Do had ordered for everyone to go to the main hall at the right side of the company until she returns, she then proceed to turn back to the argument that was going on before her

as soon as she turned she looked right at Kim and a smile plastered unto her face as she trolled towards him

"Your Kim young su I presume" she asked taking his hand for a handshake

"Yes Miss Do" said Kim as he returned the favor

"Miss Do do you know this man?" asked Miss Han as she seemed to be tired of everyone not answering her questions, Miss Do turned to her in shock

"Miss Han didn't you read the File that was sent to you by the company you work for?" asked Miss Do as she decides to face them

"Well I did but I never got to finish Because someone had to go and mess up the schedule!" stated Miss Han as she gave a glare to Soun who was now hiding behind win soo

"Huh..... "

"well if you had read it you would have seen his name in the third page of the file"

"After the accident that happened last year the company had decided to get Mr Park a personal bodyguard that will protect him 24/7"

"it was said that he would arrive today"

"so when I saw him save you I thought you already known and that's why you brought him" stated Miss Do as she looked at them. with disbelief

"That was what I was trying to tell you!" shouted Eun soo as he was being dragged to the ground by a hiding soun

"Oh... "

"So... his the bodyguard" asked Soun as he finally came out of his hiding place and walk straight up to kim

"I thought he would have more muscles and be beef like how everyone described them" stated Soun as he patted Kim shoulder

'I'm not a wrestler why would I have a beefy body' Kim thought without portraying anything on his face

Miss Han seeing this walked up to them and pulled Soun hand away pushing back into Eun soo hand, she then proceeded to stand right in front of him trying to match his stare but failing miserably

"Sorry about the Misunderstanding earlier"

"since I didn't finish the file I didn't know about you"

"but that still doesn't justify why you followed us here and if I do remember only VIP where allowed into the hall and we essentially didn't bring you" said Miss Han as she still didn't believe the whole bodyguard thing

"I'm a VIP of the Company" said Kim with a bored expression

"Prove it!" shouted Miss Han

'oh.... '

'This woman is making my head pound'

'What's her deals anyways?'

Kim tired of all this nonsense reaches into his pocket and pulled out a black VIP card of the Ji company and showed to her face up close

"Now do you believe me"

asked Kim with a smug look on his fave as Miss Han seeing the card admit defeat as she backs off and proceed to lecture Soun and Eun soo for not remembering about the bodyguard even though Eun soo defended himself that she didn't listen to him when he was trying to explain

"it seems you have your hands full with them"

stated Miss Do as she proceeds to grab his attention, she looked at unto the group with a smile on her face seeming to be recalling an old memory

'his still the same'

thought Miss Do as she looked at Soun who didn't seem to care about the lecture Miss Han was giving him as he stares at Kim with a looks of boredom

"well I think we should get going to the hall together" said Miss Do bringing all of their attention to her

"come along now we don't want to keep our guest waiting not do we"

she said as she started to walk towards the main door, the others after seeing her move followed behind her like flocks of ducklings, Kim was about to go as well when he remembered

'Wait!'

'I forgot about her'

Kim thought and changed his coordinate to the bar he sat down with the lady but when he returned she wasn't there anymore

'I seemed I was too late'

'I never even got to ask her name'

thought kim as he turned to walk away a hand reached up to him and patted his shoulder

"W..Who?" he stated turning around to come face to face with the bartender

"The little lady that you sat with told me to give this to you"

said the bartender as he handed him a card before he proceeded to walk away going back to cleaning the bar

'it seems I would meet her again'

thought kim as he put the card in his pocket and decided to join the others in the hall for the remaining ceremony, while moving through the new hall he spotted Miss Han, Eun soo and Mr Park going into one of the halls of the company, being as suspicious as he was he decided to follow them

there walked until there where at a good meter away form the ball and praying eyes, Kim saw this and decided to hide behind one of the pillars closer to them to not be seen but also spy into their conversation

"Miss Han stop pulling your hurting and delicate wrist"

said Soun as he was dragged by Miss Han from the hall along with Eun soo, she finally stopped and decided to let go of his hand before turning to face them both

"what are we going to do?"

"they sent a Bodyguard are they kidding me" stated Miss Han looking not too very pleased

"hmm... "

"now that I think about it having him around will give us some trouble" said Soun looking thouthful

"And if you don't remember he will be watching you 24/7 meaning you won't have any freedom what so ever!"

"are gonna let your freedom go just like that!" shouted Miss Han

"B..but he isn't doing anything bad"

"his just following protocol"

"and wasn't it because of Hyung that there brought him here how's that his fault"

stated Eun soo trying to defend kim, but was soon silenced by Miss Han who wouldn't take no for an answer

"OK since Eun soo says its not his fault how about time do this" Miss Han said with a smile on her face

"what do you have in mind Miss Han" asked Soun

"how about instead of sending him back we keep him as a bodyguard"

"let him protect Mr Park for a few days, throughout that time we willake his job very hard for him so that he will be frustrated, before we find some dirt on him and fire him"

"simple as that" stated Miss Han with a look of satisfaction

"oh...!"

"that's brilliant!" shouted Soun as he and Miss Han decided to high-five each other with glee on their faces

"this is gonna end so badly" said Eun soo the only normal one in the group

'Use me eh.... '

'they want to use me and then discard me'

'well.... '

'we'll see about that when I'm done with you'

thought kim from his hiding spot as he proceeded to leave they and went back into the hall they again he meant Miss Do at his table with a glass of red wine in her hand as she takes a drink from it before toasting it in his direction beckoning him to join her and join he did

"you seem to be enjoying yourself a lot Miss Do"

stated Kim as he took a chair beside her and poured himself his own drink

"of course why wouldn't i... it's my party after all"

"it's not just work and work an owner do"

"isn't that right Ghost Agent J Kim young su" said Miss Do as she took another drink from her cup

"hmmm"

"I was wondering when you would finally figure it out"

"it seemed I didn't have to wait long Agent (Manager) Do" stated Kim with a smile on his face

"eh.... "

"when did you figure out I was an agent for Ghost like you"

"my information was highly classified so no one could get their hands on them"

"so tell me...."

"how did you figure it out?" asked Miss Do with a cunning expression of disbelief on her face

"it wasn't easy"

"I didn't know you where an agent untill I met you for the first time"

"that's when everything came into place" stated kim

"Really do tell...?" asked Miss Do

"The first was the furnitures in the agency they seemed to be bought from the same brand over and over again"

"I know the agency couldn't just buy from any brand because then our information would have been linked and that what gave me the idea of us having an agent that runs a fashion store or company, and also that was proven right when I was told all the furniture used in my new house was bought from your brand"

"the second clue was the VIP card"

"only ghosts agent would have been able to know the meaning of the three dot lining at the left right bottom of the card" while saying this Kim brought out the card and showed us the three lines on the card

"but what really solidified my idea was your introduction towards me" said Kim taking a drink from his glass to solidify the taste in his mouth

"My introduction?"

"how did that give me away?" asked Miss Do as she gave him her full attention

"You where the first person to call me by my full name out of the rest, you then said you read it in the file given to them by the company, but your a fashion company that doesn't deals with theirs so how did you get that information?" stated Kim

"couldn't I lie I say I heard from a friend ofine who works there" said Miss Do

"yeah if I had not already did a background check on you maybe you could have still have a chance" said Kim who looked smug

"My My aren't you a noisy one" said Miss Do with a smile on her face

"well then if that wasn't it then what was it" asked Miss Do as she proceeded to order a waiter to bring some food to their table

"I would beg to differ but what really gave you away was the handshake" said Kim

"a handshake?"

"how come I don't see anything wrong with a handshake that could reveal my identity" said Miss Do looking for the waiter she sent with a smirk on her face

"In Ghost we are always thought a way to. identify each other when meant in a field or on a mission"

"it was taught to enable us to be able to identify the traitor or impersonator in our mist"

"the man where taught a sign to show when passing each others while women were taught a specific thing to do when taking handshakes"

"your tup when taking a handshake will always fall unto the tip of the third finger of that person"

"if he or she is an gent they would recognize it and respond with their own signal" said Kim placing his empty glass unto the table before facing her with a smirk on his face

"you may have not be in the field for a long time now but old habits die hard"

Kim said as he pointed his hand towards her fingers which she tried to hide under her hands

"well it seems I've become rusty after leaving the field"

"you youngsters seem to have more agility than we old people do now this days" stated Miss Do

The waiter which Miss Do had ordered to bring some food finally arrived, he proceeded to arrange the food to each of their plate, filling their glasses to the brim with the slicking red wine as he tries to adjust the table to the Madams liking before standing in a corner awaiting further instructions, seeing this Miss Do decided to act

"You are dismissed"

"take a break or two you need it"

instructed Miss Do as the waiter bowed to her and he guest before excusing himself

"well I do like my new job now"

"I don't have to jump through buildings, chase helicopters or infiltrate a kidnapping facility"

"I like being layed back"

"which brings me to my question"

"why are you here in Korean portraying as a bodyguard to Park Kyle Soun of all people" asked Miss Do as she decided to dig into the food ushering Kim to join her

"that's... it due to my boss"

"he doesn't like me very much because of the prank I pulled on him on his date with his girl"

"soo... as compensation this is my punishment"

"from breaking people out of prison to now babysitting"

"life really is great isn't it" said Kim as he took a fork and started eating

"Wait... "

"you were the one you did that prank at the restaurant!" asked Miss Do with surprise on her face

"you know about that" asked kim

"of course I do nothing goes on in the agency they doesn't pass through my ears" stated Miss Do with a sly expression

"and even it was the talk of the agency for days"

"your boss was too ashamed to even step. his foot into the headquarters for months"

"that was music to my ears" Miss Do said laughing

"do you hate him that much"

"I heard the two of you used to be partners until you left" asked Kim while stuffing a cooked pork into his mouth

"it's in the past already"

"I don't want to bring out old memories that hurt so I just think to let it be what it wants to be" said Miss Do taking a drink from her glass

"but anywhere I little birdy told me you where having troubles with your new target" said Miss Do

"you can tell can't you" asked Kim

"not really..."

"but I do know that in all my years of working with him Park Kyle Soun is a handfull alone"

"and don't even get me started on his manager Miss Han"

"That woman had once used a police car and chased Soun around soeul when she found him cheating with another actress even when his contracts state that he will not have any relationship with women until the age of 30 which to me still seem far in my eyes"

"no matter what that boy won't ever grow up and I can't blame him after the accident last year it reminded him why he decided to hide behind his childish facade in front of people only allowing them to see the him he wants them to see and not the real him"

"the only normal person in that group is Eun soo"

"Eun soo is more like Soun little brother since he sticked to him like glue"

"his the one who sees reason in the entire group but because he is the youngest he doesn't get much stage light like the orders"

"and don't even get me started about the rest of the crew but I won't seeing as you would be seeing all of them starting tomorrow" stated Miss Do as she started laughing with joy at Kim's predicament

"it seems if I need information I now know where to go" said Kim looking happy

"come if you want but my company isn't an information gathering club"

"to try to best behave" stated Miss Do

"well cheers to comrades" Kim said raising his glass for a toast

"Cheers" Miss Do said bringing her glass towards his with a clank they toast to their meeting

while at this moment we go back to the right side of the hall where the group of three had disappeared before but now it seems they finally came back from their long discussion, Eun soo and Soun appeared first with Soun trying to convince Eun soo that the plan was for their own good while Miss Han stayed behind the group as she thought about something that seemed to just be at the edge of her mind, as her thoughts raised she was attentive and collided with Eun soo and Soun who had frozen in place

"hey what's wrong with the two of you" asked Miss Han as he shouted at them but stopped when she saw their attention elsewhere and

"Hyung..." said Eun soo

"Yes Eun soo" answered soun

"have they always been that closed to each other before" asked Eun soo

"not that I remember no... " answered soun

'Huh.... '

'what the hell are they staring about'

thought Miss Han as she pushed herself to the Front come face to face with the scene of Miss Do and Kim having dinner together and looking all cosy with each other as they chat and laugh about things that she couldn't hear from all the way there

'when did those two become so close with each other'

'didn't they meet just today' thought Miss Han as she was getting angrier by the minute

"you know I don't care anymore" said Miss Han as she proceeded to walk away

"Huh... "

"Miss Han wait up"

"don't leave us" shouted Eun soo as he and Soun followed after her

and soo the party continued to the middle of the night with the people enjoying themselves
