C2 The Road to the Yellow Springs and the City of the Dead

The next evening, Lee Hengfang and Division Chief Huang arrived at the Old Lord's Temple early in the morning and were welcomed by two young Taoists.

In the middle of the room, there was a black and white felt that combined into two colors, one was a Tai Chi Pattern, the other was a black and one was black. The color flags were floating in the air, the few tables in front of the statue of the Old Lord had candles and lights burning, cigarettes were curling up in the air.

Seeing that Lee Hengfang and the others had arrived, Daoist Everlasting bowed and had the four young Daoists stand on four sides. He himself burned incense in front of the incense burner, ignited the Seven Stars Lamp, and then, waving his horsetail whisk, he stepped onto the Tai Chi Pattern and began to fight.

Lee Hengfang could tell that this was a request from Old Lord Taishang and the other deities.

"I'd like to see how this Ox-nose Daoist will play tricks on me!" The young Manager Li thought like this.

However, he suddenly heard a spurt of glyph water from the Daoist Priest, followed by a shout: "Please stand in the middle, Master Li."

Lee Hengfang was pushed by Division Chief Huang on his back and couldn't help but walk onto the Tai Chi diagram.

Weird, this Taiji diagram was spinning at first slowly, then faster and faster.

Daoist Everlasting pulled Lee Hengfang to sit on the black and white yin yang fish pattern in the tai chi diagram. Wu Tie was sitting on the white dot on the black fish, Taichi was sitting on the black dot on the white fish.

The tai chi diagram spun rapidly.

Lee Hengfang began to feel like he was in a tunnel. The sun and the moon were moving in reverse, the sea of stars was spinning in the west, the sky and the night were changing rapidly, his eyes were black and white, and his ears were blowing in the wind.

Manager Li wanted to slip away, but he was powerless. He could only bite the bullet and sit down. Then he closed his eyes and hastily covered his ears with his hands.

After an unknown period of time, a pair of hands were pulling Lee Hengfang's sleeves.

Lee Hengfang lowered his hand and the surroundings were quiet. Lee Hengfang opened his eyes, but it was not a revolving tunnel, nor was it a mist-filled temple.

Here, the sky was dark, the clouds were drifting in the wind, the wind was blowing in the form of cold rain, and there were a few mournful and pitiful apes.

"Where is this place?"

"This is the road to Fengdu Dark Asura Hall!"

"What?" Lee Hengfang felt goosebumps all over his body, "Is there really a underworld in this world?"

"That's right!" Daoist Everlasting smiled, "However, Almsgiver Li need not be flustered. This is the Yuan Dynasty's Underworld, where the King of Hell does not care about the modern era. That Black and White Impermanence's hand does not extend as far as seven to eight hundred years!"

While the Daoist Priest was speaking, Lee Hengfang could see shadows all around him. Some shadows were drifting past from quite a distance away.

When he looked again, he felt his hair stand on end. There were men and women among the shadows, but they were all ferocious looking men and women with long tongues sticking out from their red lips. The battle was still ongoing. The skeletons were moving like the wind, swaying in the wind as countless strands of silk turned into snakes.

"Ghost!" Manager Li felt goosebumps all over his body. His heart was beating like a drum.

"Benefactor Li need not be afraid," Daoist Everlasting tried to comfort her again, "You didn't see those ghosts hiding from us? They are still afraid of being blown away by our yang energy, they won't be able to give birth! "

Yeah! Lee Hengfang's heart beat slowly retreated back into his chest from his throat.

The more they walked forward, the thicker the ghost aura became and more ghostly shadows appeared. However, they still avoided Daoist Everlasting and Manager Lee Hengfang.

"Strange, why are these ghosts dressed differently from the dead people we've seen?" Lee Hengfang was finally stunned and asked,

"I already said that we are in the Yuan Dynasty's Underworld, people's clothes are different, this ghost has to change too! "Just follow behind me, and there will be the Road to River Styx. The Road to River Styx will lead to the Fallen Death City, the city of the Yuan Dynasty!"

"Dao leader …" Manager Li felt chills in his heart as he started to be respectful to Daoist Everlasting.

Daoist Everlasting smiled and continued forward while waving the horsetail whisk in his hand.

The road was like smoke, drifting and winding.

After walking forward for a distance, they crossed over the mountain pass. At the foot of the mountain, there was a palace.

The palaces opened and ghosts filed in.

Lee Hengfang followed Taichi and entered.

There was nothing in the palace. A deep tunnel ran from the back of the palace to the heart of the mountain.

Lee Hengfang could tell that it was the reflection of the ghosts' gazes as they walked in.

The further they walked, the more sinister it became.

Some heads would suddenly pop up from the walls of the cave, looking ferocious, baring their fangs and gritting their teeth. Some hands, which only had bones and did not have skin, would scratch up and down, shaking the ropes.

There were jagged screams everywhere.

The walking skeletons were always firmly bitten by the heads that suddenly sprouted from the walls of the cave. Or a furry hand wrenched off the head, limbs, and chunks.

Lee Hengfang was no longer that afraid. He, who was closely following Daoist Everlasting, realized that wherever this Taoist went, ghosts would run and demons would flee.

The tunnel continued to move forward.

The exit suddenly widened, revealing a dark blue heaven and earth, a blue star, and a blue moon. The ghost moved forward, plowing away the blue light.

A river of blood was blocking the way. The river of blood flowed from east to west, boiling all the way. With only a dozen swirls, only bones would remain.

Lee Hengfang walked towards the river, but it was bone-chilling cold.

On the surface of the river was a bridge built out of wood. At the end of the bridge, there were the words "Bridge of Nai He" written in large blue letters.

The ghosts that entered the underworld trembled and climbed onto the bridge, while Lee Hengfang followed behind Daoist Everlasting and walked on the bridge while trembling.

It was as if they were being selected. Not long afterwards, a soul would be pulled under the bridge by a long black hairy hand that suddenly stretched out from the river.

A long shout fell. Lee Hengfang's heart felt like it was being weighed down by a weight and he kept falling.

Daoist Everlasting didn't seem to see anything. He climbed onto the bridge and the bridge quietly widened under his feet.

Lee Hengfang, who wore a suit and leather shoes, no longer cared about his dirty appearance, and followed closely behind him.

A city surrounded by a river of blood. Opening City Gate Doorway.

Above the door, to the left and right, hung a blue lantern. In the lantern, ghostly figures appeared, laughing or wailing. It was the ghost of a man in the left light and the female in the right light. A cold shiver ran down his spine as his heart was torn apart.

Above the City Gate Doorway, there were three big words written there that emitted blue light.

The ghosts filed in.

Lee Hengfang followed closely behind Daoist Everlasting.

Daoist Everlasting's daoist robe was dirty.

On the streets of the city, the shadows of many black side roads lined up like trees. Without the leaves, the branches were white bony claws, shaking and waving; the fruits were there, but they were all heads, bright or dark or hidden. The fierce teeth flashed while the growls let out a growl that was half a foot long and had a red tongue; the weird eyes blinked while the two streams of blue light shone.

Between the shadows of the trees were open doorways.

Many ghosts were walking in, many ghosts were walking out.

The person who walked in was miserable and sad, but the person who walked out was a happy person with fluttering eyebrows and eyes.

"Strange," Lee Hengfang thought in his heart, "Could it be that these ghosts have something to be happy about?"

"Yes," Daoist Everlasting guessed Manager Li's thoughts without even turning around, "This is the so-called reincarnation cycle. These ghosts have finally gotten a substitute. They are about to be reincarnated!"

"You mean the ghosts that go in and out of the door are the surrogate of the one who comes out?"

"En!" Daoist Everlasting answered in front.

Lee Hengfang didn't ask any further questions. He was completely convinced by the Taoist walking in front.

The road continued forward as Lee Hengfang followed behind Taichi.

One old, one young, one vulgar, just like that, they traversed the dead cities of the Yuan Dynasty.

Daoist Everlasting was wearing a black daoist robe, and he was waving the whisk in his hand. His white hair was flowing in the air, and his footsteps were as fast as the wind. Lee Hengfang followed closely behind. The young man in a suit and leather shoes were already sweating profusely. He also began to pant heavily.

As Lee Hengfang walked, he habitually touched his pocket — by the way, his phone was still there.

"It's best to turn off your phone, otherwise, if the phone suddenly rings, it might cause some unnecessary trouble!" Daoist Everlasting guessed Lee Hengfang's intention and said without turning his head back.

Lee Hengfang quickly reached into his pocket.
