C15 The Pressure from the Important Class..

Lu Chong gained a fresh perspective on his Class Teacher's view of the big picture. He hadn't expected this outwardly gruff individual to possess the nuanced thoughts and dedication of a true educator.

Yet, Lu Chong couldn't shake the feeling that inviting the principal to observe their competition was a bit over the top, considering the principal of Guanyun City's elite high school was no ordinary figure. Rumor had it, he was a bona fide Martial Grandmaster.

Principal Wai might not be the city's most formidable Martial Artist at over eighty years old, but he certainly was among the most seasoned Martial Grandmasters, with a global network of students.

"Lu Chong, your case is quite unique. You're probably even more capable than you realize," the Class Teacher said, apparently reading Lu Chong's mind and offering a serious reminder.

"Getting advice from the principal could be incredibly significant for you," the Class Teacher continued with a sly grin. "After all, Principal Wai has a treasure trove of resources, and he alone can grant access to certain martial arts legacies."

Convinced, Lu Chong now appreciated the Class Teacher's well-intentioned efforts.

Moreover, Lu Chong was well aware that with his Automatic Cultivation System, he was indeed well-suited to learn more martial arts techniques.

Now that both his Monument Breaking Hand and Nine Shadow Step had reached Perfection, the only technique left for Lu Chong to master was the Wind Splitting Leg.

With his modest income, finding appropriate martial arts legacies on the open market was challenging. Ultimately, he would have to depend on the school's resources.

"Thank you, Teacher. I'll give it my all," Lu Chong expressed his gratitude earnestly.

"No need for thanks," the Class Teacher replied coolly. "Remember, the essence of martial arts lies in your determination to strive. Ultimately, it's up to you to seize the opportunity."

With a few more words of advice, the Class Teacher sent Lu Chong back to his lessons.

Interestingly, that morning, the Class Teacher spared Class 5 from their usual cultural studies, advising the students to take a breather instead.

Meanwhile, the school's online forum buzzed with anticipation over the impending martial arts showdown between the two classes, stirring up quite the excitement.

Not just Class 1 and Class 5, but even other Senior Year classes, as well as those from the junior years, were abuzz with plans to attend the afternoon's spectacle at the sports field.

Such was the fervor for martial arts that pervaded the community.

The morning flew by, and after lunch, Class 5 skipped their rest to head to the sports field for some warm-up and practice.

As class time approached, the sports field came alive with nearly two thousand students from all thirty-two classes converging, along with numerous school leaders and teachers taking their places in the stands.

The atmosphere reached a fever pitch when Principal Wai made his last-to-arrive entrance, taking his seat and commanding attention.

Amidst the throng of students, Lu Chong's gaze found the principal seated at the center of the stands. The old principal's complexion was healthy, his white hair contrasting with his youthful face. Despite being in his eighties, he exuded vigor.

Flanking Principal Wai, the Senior Year Class Teachers lined up, with Class 1's Lee Chengjun and Class 5's Wang Tong positioned on either side of the principal, ready to introduce the competing students.

"Former leader, you're really prepared to let your star pupil compete?" Lee Chengjun teased Wang Tong with a chuckle. "If Lu Chong gets discouraged or decides to join our Class 1, don't hold a grudge."

Wang Tong responded stoically, "You're just looking for a chance to show off and poach Lu Chong, aren't you? Well, here's your opportunity."

Lee Chengjun protested his innocence, turning to Principal Wai with a woeful look. "Principal Wai, you must speak on our behalf. Our Class 1's actions are solely in support of the school's initiative, pushing students to excel in the College Entrance Examination."

Wang Tong simply scoffed, uninterested in sparring with his old comrade.

The old principal sipped his tea from a thermos cup before speaking deliberately, "We'll see how things unfold. Let's remember, the students are the stars today."

With the teachers and class leaders' guidance, the center of the field was cleared for the competition.

Senior Year Class 1 and Class 5 students lined up on opposite sides, with the ten contenders stepping forward.

Separated by a mere ten meters, Class 5 students, under the intense scrutiny of Class 1, seemed visibly intimidated, barely daring to meet the gaze of their opponents.

Lu Chong silently shook his head. Regardless of the outcome, Class 5 lacked the self-assurance of their rivals.

"Mr. Chong, I think Hsiang Yueya is looking at me again. Could you check if it's true?" whispered Chen Yufei from behind Lu Chong, massaging his shoulders with a mix of nerves and excitement.

Lu Chong was at a loss for words. Yet, he couldn't help but glance at the favored girl across from him, momentarily lost in thought.

She was hailed as the school's beauty, and her looks certainly lived up to the title.

Moreover, she had advanced to Martial Disciple Stage 9. In the ranks of No.1 High School's senior students, she was in a league of her own.

In all of Guanyun City's high schools, only her classmates Zhao Loongfei and Huang Junyan could hold a candle to her.

Based on the last monthly test, Hsiang Yueya's strength surpassed both Zhao Loongfei and Huang Junyan.

Standing next to Hsiang Yueya at that moment were the two tall boys, none other than Zhao Loongfei and Huang Junyan themselves.

It was clear to anyone that both were vying for Hsiang Yueya's attention.

Despite the ban on dating in high school, nothing could quell the students' longing for romance.

In contrast, Chen Yufei, who secretly pined for Hsiang Yueya, seemed utterly unremarkable.

Caught in her reverie, Hsiang Yueya appeared to notice Lu Chong's stare. She swiftly turned her gaze toward him.

Her almond-shaped eyes sparkled with an intense sharpness, as though challenging Lu Chong to back down first.

With a slight smile, Lu Chong averted his gaze. He wasn't one to quarrel with women.

"Mr. Chong, is she still watching me?" Chen Yufei inquired, his voice tinged with anxiety.

"She's been eyeing you the whole time. Go on, ask her out," Lu Chong replied, a hint of irritation in his voice.

Chen Yufei lacked the courage. If he couldn't handle Sun Ze, how could he possibly cross Zhao Loongfei and Huang Junyan?

"Mr. Chong, once you clear the way, I swear I'll rescue my princess myself," Chen Yufei declared with earnest.

"Shameless," Lu Chong muttered, dismissing him.

Just then, Zhao Loongfei stepped forward from the crowd. He addressed Class 5's Martial Arts representative Lou Qingqing with a sneer, "Are you ready yet? Let's get this started. Don't hold up our training."

His tone was dismissive, as if they were merely an inconvenience before his next meal.

Finishing his taunt, Zhao Loongfei arrogantly scanned the students of Class 5 and bellowed, "Who is Lu Chong? Step forward and show us what you've got."

Lu Chong just smiled and let it slide. In his mind, though, he was already plotting to give Zhao Loongfei a thrashing before the College Entrance Examination.
