C18 Principal's High Grade Body Refining Martial Skill!

On the sports field, Lu Chong faced the final challenger from Class 1 and effortlessly triumphed with a single move.

The last student to face him had not only mastered the Nine Shadow Step to the Arcane stage but had also achieved Great Completion in three martial skills. Yet, even with such prowess, he was no match for Lu Chong's two Perfection Stage martial skills.

If Class 1's students had dealt a collective blow to Class 5, Lu Chong's defeat of those five opponents was a crushing one.

Their cultivation might have been at Stage 5, but their combat skills paled in comparison to Lu Chong's.

The excitement among Class 5's students was palpable; their voices nearly hoarse from cheering. They swarmed Lu Chong, their jubilation uncontainable.

This victory wasn't just Lu Chong's; it was a triumphant reversal for the students from the ordinary classes, filling them with immense pride.

Hsiang Yueya had been watching the matches intently. Now, she confidently stated, "His two martial skills have definitely reached the Perfection Stage."

It was only at this moment that she confirmed Lu Chong's Nine Shadow Step and Monument Breaking Hand had indeed attained Perfection.

Even Hsiang Yueya, who prided herself as the foremost martial artist among all the students, was taken aback by this revelation.

A product of the most prestigious Hsiang's Dojo in Guanyun City, she had dedicated herself to rigorous training from a young age but had never brought a martial skill to Perfection.

She had advanced three martial skills to the Arcane Stage and her cultivation to Martial Disciple Stage 9, far outstripping her peers. Yet, it was this very fact that made her acutely aware of the rarity and value of achieving Perfection in martial skills.

Among the senior instructors at Hsiang's Dojo, only a select few had mastered a Perfection Stage Martial Skill.

"What's on your mind, Yueya?" inquired Huang Junyan, usually reserved and taciturn.

"Nothing. Let's head back to class," Hsiang Yueya responded coolly, casting one last glance at the crowd surrounding Lu Chong before turning to leave.

Zhao Loongfei sneered at Lu Chong, "He's become too arrogant. If it weren't for his weak cultivation, I'd have personally escorted him to the infirmary."

"If you were at the same cultivation level, you'd only be able to fend him off with your Body Refining Martial Skill and avoid defeat," Huang Junyan retorted with a light chuckle, following Hsiang Yueya's lead.

Zhao Loongfei's flash of anger was fleeting as he called out to Huang Junyan's retreating figure, "Don't you also rely on martial skills to counter him? And remember, neither the mock exam nor the College Entrance Examination restricts our cultivation levels."

At Class 5's gathering spot, Lu Chong received a summons from the Class Teacher and departed from the scene, somewhat unaccustomed to the fanfare.

"Lu Chong, Principal Wai would like to see you," announced the Class Teacher, guiding Lu Chong away from the field.

Curiosity piqued, Lu Chong inquired, "Teacher, what does the principal want with me?" He was eager to learn of any potential rewards.

Wang Tong glanced around, ensuring privacy, before leaning in to whisper, "The principal might be considering offering you personal instruction. Take this chance to negotiate for more benefits."

"He has a formidable Body Refining Martial Arts technique of his own creation," Wang Tong added with a hint of intrigue. "Mention your interest in body refinement and see if he'll share it with you."

"Body Refining Martial Arts!" Lu Chong's eyes sparkled with interest. He had only heard of such techniques but had never witnessed them firsthand.

Body Refining Martial Arts were exceedingly rare treasures. Practitioners could significantly enhance their physical strength, explosiveness, and defensive capabilities.

Yet, mastering Body Refining Martial Arts was no easy feat. It demanded exceptional insight and often required special resources, like the blood of mutated beasts and extracts from unusual plants.

Wang Tong offered no further explanation, leaving the decision to Lu Chong. After all, he couldn't sway the principal's intentions.

Finally, Wang Tong knocked on the door to the principal's office, and a robust voice beckoned from within, "Come in."

"Go on, I'll wait here," Wang Tong said, stepping aside to let Lu Chong enter on his own.

Lu Chong entered the spacious office to find the old principal seated solo behind his desk, a bookshelf brimming with volumes behind him.

"Lu Chong, come have a seat," invited the old principal, setting aside his thermos and gesturing to the chair.

Lu Chong took his seat obediently and greeted him formally, "Hello, Principal."

Principal Wai's response was warm and reassuring, "No need for nerves. I may be the principal, but above all, I'm a teacher. You can simply call me 'teacher' from now on."

"Yes, teacher, hello," Lu Chong replied, quickly adapting.

He grasped the implication of the old principal's words. The Class Teacher's earlier hint had prepared him; the principal saw potential in him and was ready to take him under his wing as a student.

The old principal was keen to forge a bond with Lu Chong, akin to the intimate rapport between a university mentor and their student.

"You're quite impressive. Mr. Wang mentioned your recent Second Awakening, which seems to have granted you an extraordinary level of insight. Is that correct?" The old principal was clearly pleased with Lu Chong's demeanor and inquired without beating around the bush.

Lu Chong felt a chill in his heart. He knew he couldn't afford to speak recklessly in front of such a formidable figure, so he cautiously replied, "To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what's happened. All I know is that I've suddenly come to understand a great deal more about martial arts cultivation."

The old principal responded coolly, "There's no need for nerves. Your experience isn't unprecedented. In fact, I've encountered students who've progressed even more swiftly."

He went on to say, "Still, as your teacher, it's my duty to caution you against resting on your laurels. There are countless students out there who surpass you in talent. Flame Country is home to over a billion people, and geniuses are far from scarce. Yet, how many of these geniuses actually rise to prominence? I've seen all too many who either perished prematurely or abandoned their training. Having talent is advantageous, but without continuous effort and humility, you'll never reach the ranks of the truly powerful."

The old principal spoke with gravity, "Do you grasp my meaning?"

Lu Chong quickly adopted a modest posture, replying, "I understand, and I appreciate your guidance."

"That's good to hear," the old principal shifted gears and continued, "Given your potential, the school is intent on providing you with specialized support. Even if you remain in Class 5, we'll ensure you have access to ample resources. Mr. Wang has already secured approval from me, and he'll be the one to deliver them to you. However, as your teacher, I won't hold back. I'll offer you assistance on a personal level as well."

Fixing his gaze on Lu Chong, the old principal asked earnestly, "Tell me, what is it you wish to learn?"

Recalling his Class Teacher's advice, Lu Chong responded without a moment's hesitation, "Teacher, I'd like to study Body Refining Martial Arts."

The old principal was momentarily taken aback, but he quickly regained his composure and said, "So Wang Tong has filled you in. Very well, I have a High Grade Body Refining Martial Skill called the Golden Cicada Robe that I can teach you. However, I must make it clear upfront that you will be responsible for the cost of any medicinal requirements for your training."
