C8 He Received a New Martial Skill as a Reward!

This was utterly humiliating!

Sun Ze was certain he had given it his all. Lu Chong hadn't resorted to any tricks or knocked him out this time.

Yet, he wished he had been knocked out—better unconscious than having a crowd witness him sprawled on the ground, unable to rise.

He felt as though Lu Chong's Monument Breaking Hand had nearly shattered every bone in his body. Now, his classmates were capturing his shameful state on their phones. The humiliation was almost too much to bear.

"You got what you deserved. Got any excuses this time?" Chen Yufei sneered from the sidelines, looking even more smug than Lu Chong, who had just given Sun Ze a thrashing.

Sun Ze's face was pressed to the ground, and he was at a loss for words.

He had already conceded defeat, fearing that otherwise, Lu Chong might actually knock his teeth out.

The Class Teacher intervened just in time, "Enough! Chen Yufei, take Sun Ze to the infirmary. Lu Chong, come with me. The rest of you, back to class."

Lu Chong was aware his progress in cultivation wouldn't go unnoticed by the Class Teacher, but luckily, he had an explanation ready and followed him to the office.

On the field, Chen Yufei showed no intention of helping Sun Ze up, merely observing with a cold gaze.

Sun Ze's close friends approached, phones in hand, and asked, "Brother Sun, should we keep filming?"

"Absolutely not! Can't you see the state I'm in?" Sun Ze managed to turn over, cursing.

He also warned the other students, "If anyone leaks this incident, they're my enemy."

"You sure talk big. Why didn't you speak up in front of Mr. Chong?" Chen Yufei taunted, continuing to film Sun Ze.

Sun Ze shot Chen Yufei a venomous look, then turned to his friends, "What are you waiting for? Help me to the infirmary."

He knew that anything he said would only add to his embarrassment.

Moreover, even if his classmates didn't post the video and photos to the school forum, students from other classes would.

All Sun Ze wanted was to leave this place of shame as quickly as possible and never face anyone again.

As Sun Ze left the field, a wave of laughter erupted from the students of Class 5.

In the Class Teacher's office, Wang Tong looked at Lu Chong with wide eyes and asked earnestly, "Lu Chong, when did you master the Nine Shadow Step and Monument Breaking Hand to such an arcane level?"

Lu Chong replied candidly, "Last night, I was practicing near my home and had a breakthrough."

Wang Tong was taken aback for a moment before regaining his composure.

For an average high school student, reaching Small Completion in a Low Grade martial skill takes about a month, and advancing to Great Completion could take a year. Progressing to the Arcane Stage is even more challenging, with many students struggling to reach it by the College Entrance Examination.

Of course, students with private tutors or exceptional talent could achieve it, but none had done so overnight like Lu Chong.

Not even the top students from the prestigious Senior Year Class 1 had managed such a feat. It was unprecedented in the school's history.

At that moment, Wang Tong recognized Lu Chong's extraordinary talent, especially knowing he couldn't afford a private tutor.

With a renewed sense of gravity, Wang Tong said, "It seems my earlier guess was correct. You've had a second awakening as an adult, and your insight is exceptional."

"Teacher, there's nothing wrong with that, is there?" Lu Chong feigned ignorance.

Wang Tong shook his head decisively, "It's a good thing, so no need for concern."

"But there's something we need to discuss," Wang Tong added, his tone turning serious as if a thought had struck him.

"Please, go ahead, Teacher," Lu Chong said, attentive to the Class Teacher's greater wisdom.

Wang Tong nodded and continued, "Your talent will soon be known throughout the school, and I advise against keeping it hidden."

"The school will invest more in nurturing students with potential."

"You needn't wait for the mock exams to request resources; I can assist you with that now."

Lu Chong agreed, understanding the implications of displaying his talent publicly.

Without the school's resources, leveraging his abilities would be challenging.

Wang Tong then said, "You now have the opportunity to switch classes. Would you consider transferring to a key Martial Arts class like Senior Year Class 1?" He watched Lu Chong anxiously.

"What are you suggesting, Teacher?" Lu Chong inquired.

Wang Tong explained calmly, "Class 1 has always been No.1 High School's elite class, with top-tier students like Hsiang Yueya, Zhao Loongfei, and Huang Junyan."

"I must tell you, the teaching staff in Class 1 is the best in the school."

"Moreover, given the potential you've demonstrated, I'm confident that with my assistance in the application process, you'll have no trouble getting into Class 1."

"Even the teachers of Class 1 might reach out to invite you themselves once they hear about your capabilities. That's why I need to get your thoughts on this first," Wang Tong said with a serious tone.

Lu Chong finally got it. He pondered for a moment and replied, "Thank you for sharing this with me."

"I'm curious, does Class 1 receive more scholarships and Nutrient Solution than we do?" Lu Chong inquired.

Wang Tong caught on to what Lu Chong was getting at and responded with conviction, "Rest assured, there's absolutely no difference. Show me your potential, and I'll make sure you have access to the same level of resources, if not more."

Without any hesitation, Lu Chong made up his mind and said firmly, "Alright. I won't be switching classes."

His decision wasn't a result of impulsiveness or a profound attachment to Class 5.

Lu Chong was thinking practically.

With less than a hundred days left until the College Entrance Examination, switching to a new class could lead to unnecessary complications and potentially waste precious time.

Besides, after several interactions, Lu Chong had come to see Wang Tong as exceedingly trustworthy. Now, he had a good deal of respect for his Class Teacher.

What if he didn't gel with the new teacher after transferring?

If he could access the same resources and his current Class Teacher held him in such high regard, then staying put and focusing on his exam preparations seemed the best course of action.

Would a teacher in that elite class, filled with martial arts prodigies, offer the kind of personalized coaching he was getting now?

"Great!" Wang Tong exclaimed, slapping his thigh enthusiastically. "Your loyalty deserves recognition, and I won't be outdone. I'm going to personally reward you with a new martial arts technique. It's a token of achievement from my days in the military—a Middle Grade Human Level skill."
