"Director, you're absolutely right!"
Zhou Xianming had a moment of realization and quickly suppressed the anger on his face, casting a confident glance at Lee Yun and Fang Xueyi.
Once he won the bet, Fang Xue would undoubtedly see who was the one shamelessly bragging!
At Xie Kang's command, teachers from the experimental class and Class 14 each took Zhou Xianming and Lee Yun's test papers to grade them on the spot.
Lee Yun's biology teacher sighed as he picked up the test paper. He knew his student's capabilities all too well; Lee Yun had only managed to score 50 points in Combined Science at the end of last semester, and that was with guessing most of the multiple-choice questions. It would be astonishing if Lee Yun managed to get a perfect score!
But as the teacher scrutinized Lee Yun's multiple-choice answers, he let out a surprised gasp.
He adjusted his glasses and looked again, comparing the answers to the key over and over.
"Lee Yun got all the biology multiple-choice questions right?"
The biology teacher's voice was tinged with disbelief as everyone turned to look at him.
Zhou Xianming's unease grew, but he reassured himself, "Maybe Lee Yun just guessed. There are only six biology questions, after all!"
"My goodness, he's gotten all the physics multiple-choice questions right, too."
The physics teacher who had proctored Lee Yun's exam looked at him approvingly, as if witnessing the rise of a genius at Zhicai High School. Surely, he was destined to become a notable alumnus!
A murmur of astonishment swept through the crowd as they turned their attention to the chemistry teacher, eagerly awaiting his verdict.
"Lee Yun also got every single chemistry multiple-choice question correct."
The chemistry teacher, pushing up his glasses, uttered these words slowly, clearly shaken.
"Perfect on all the multiple-choice questions?!"
The news hit like a bombshell, sending a shockwave through the crowd. They stared at Lee Yun, dumbfounded, their previous assessments thrown into doubt by his calm demeanor.
Were they wrong? Could Lee Yun truly be a genius?
"No way!" blurted a teacher from the experimental class, his voice tinged with embarrassment. "Zhou Xianming lost three points on his physics multiple-choice questions. How could your class possibly get them all right?!"
Zhou Xianming's face drained of color; he had lost points on his multiple-choice questions?
"Hmph!"
The physics teacher held up Lee Yun's test paper, clearly annoyed, "If you don't believe it, come and see for yourself!"
Zhicai High School's experimental class was the crème de la crème of the school. Its students were either prodigies or wealthy heirs, enjoying numerous privileges. This led to strained relations between the experimental class and the regular classes, particularly Class 14.
The experimental class teachers were skeptical. They pored over Lee Yun's test paper, turning it this way and that, their expressions growing increasingly incredulous.
Lee Yun had not only aced all the multiple-choice questions but had also nailed the blankfilling and long-answer questions with impeccable precision—at least, they could find no fault. Lee Yun's responses were even clearer than the answer key, ruling out any possibility of cheating.
"What did he score?!" The dean, Xie Kang, looked visibly distressed, a wave of annoyance washing over him.
If Lee Yun had indeed scored full marks, it would be quite the embarrassment.
"Director."
A teacher, holding Lee Yun's test paper, spoke with a slight tremor in his voice, "This paper is nearly flawless. I can tentatively declare it's a perfect score!"
Having finished his thought, he gazed at Lee Yun with a look of admiration.
Scoring perfect marks on the Combined Science exam was a rarity, even among the students in the experimental class—perhaps a feat achievable by only one or two geniuses.
Yet Lee Yun, a student from the regular class, had managed to accomplish what seemed impossible for his peers in the experimental class!
"And Lee Yun's English score? Perfect as well!"
