C19 Killing the Griffin Squad

The Griffin Knight knew the score and immediately pleaded for mercy.

But the only response was the intensifying blaze below and the climbing heat.

"Does this mean he won't spare us?"

With a curse under his breath, the Griffin Knight spurred his mount to climb higher, trying to escape.

Outmatched in strength, their anger was futile; they were powerless to retaliate effectively.

"If you are so determined to pursue us, then know this: the Bernard Empire's knights will not forget this indignity. We shall return to settle the score!"

A sinister look flickered across the Griffin Knight's face as he issued his half-warning, half-threat.

You think you'll have your revenge? Dream on.

The Griffin Knight's words had barely left his lips when the sky seemed to darken. He looked up, terror-stricken, nearly tumbling from his griffin.

A massive meteorite, wrapped in a fiery inferno, was hurtling towards them, targeting their very heads.

"Is this... a forbidden curse? Is he an Archimage of Rank Eight or higher? Fly, fly now!"

The three Griffin Knights, pale as death, desperately spurred their griffins to flee.

A spell capable of such celestial phenomena was surely a forbidden curse, wielded only by Archimages of Rank Eight or above.

With such a spectacle before them, thoughts of resistance vanished, replaced by a primal urge to survive.

But the griffins' flight was no match for the meteor's descent, which seemed to home in on them with unerring precision.

This was Rockfall Heavenly Descent at level 2. Lin Mo had reduced the meteorite's size, but its speed was greatly increased, making it inescapable.

In mere moments, the meteorite struck them squarely.

The once-proud Griffin Knights and their mounts didn't even have time to cry out before they were shattered by the impact, their remains incinerated by the meteorite's searing flames.
