C20 Battle

Lillian had once followed the faith of the Sky God, a belief shared by the entire Featherman Clan. But her faith shifted when Lin Mo arrived at her lowest point, performing a miracle that vanquished her foes and earning her profound reverence.

Swearing an oath on one's soul is a grave matter; such vows are unbreakable unless death claims the swearer.

After Lillian succinctly outlined the situation, Lin Mo grasped the gravity of the circumstances. The Bernard Empire's humans were now encroaching on the Black Mountain Range, and their numbers were not insignificant.

With Lillian distracting the Griffin Knights, the White Feather Tribe's survivors had likely found refuge. Seeking them out now would only risk revealing their location.

Relocating the White Feather Tribe was no small feat and would surely draw unwanted attention. The Featherman lacked Lin Mo's formidable strength; any loss of life would diminish their collective faith power.

After careful consideration, Lin Mo resolved to have Lillian heal among the Holy Spirit Cats. Once they grew stronger, he would arrange for the White Feather Tribe to join them.

Having guided Lillian on her path, Lin Mo returned to the flame totem, guided by the prayers within the Holy Spirit Cats' sanctuary.

In the span of a month, Lin Mo had amassed over ten thousand units of faith power, all of which he channeled into Qingyou. Remarkably, she evolved from a girl with dormant magical potential to a Rank Three Mage. Such swift advancement was unheard of, even among the most gifted humans.

The Spiritual Cat Clan marveled at Qingyou's swift ascent, but only she knew the truth: the great God of Flames' blessings were the source of her newfound power.

For Qingyou, the God of Flames was now her everything, and her utmost ambition was to serve and honor this divine being.

At the age of sixteen, a young girl's heart is fervent. Qingyou often dreamt of the God of Flames, her imagination painting portraits of the deity. Sometimes she chastised herself for her irreverent thoughts, yet these feelings were deeply entrenched in her heart, taking root and flourishing.

Within a single month, the Holy Rice had reached full maturity, marking the first time the members of the Spiritual Cat Clan experienced a life free from concerns about food and clothing. The clan leader set about organizing the brewing of wine, and with Qingyou's refined flame magic, temperature control for the process had become much more manageable.

Upon Lillian's arrival, Qingyou welcomed her warmly and went out of her way to ensure she was well taken care of. Lillian couldn't help but marvel at the prosperity of the Spiritual Cat Clan; it seemed improbable that such a diminutive race could enjoy such an abundant existence.

Reflecting on the fact that all this was the doing of the God of Flames, Lillian's reverence for Lin Mo grew even stronger. Freed from the worries of sustenance, the physical condition of the clan members had significantly improved. Despite being a modest tribe of just over four hundred, they now boasted two hundred warriors ready for battle.

As the second month dawned, Qingyou grew increasingly impatient. She was eager to execute her plan to unite the Cat-man Clan swiftly, aiming to expand the congregation of the God of Flames' followers. Through prayer, Qingyou shared her intentions with Lin Mo.

Lin Mo responded with decisive brevity, uttering just two words: "To war!"
