The Rank Four Mage was at his limit, his voice quivering as he begged for mercy.

Lin Mo remained silent, merely shifting all the flames toward himself.

"Pseudo God! If you dare to kill me, the Bernard Empire will not let you or your contemptible followers off the hook. The merciless Frost God will bring down his wrath upon you and snuff out your false flames!"

When Lin Mo ignored his plea, the Rank Four Mage lost his composure and erupted into a tirade.

A mere final flailing in the face of death.

As for this so-called Frost God, he was already at odds with Lin Mo's flames. It was only a matter of time before they'd clash, and Lin Mo wasn't concerned about provoking him prematurely.

Watching the Rank Four Mage's contorted expression, Lin Mo let out a cold laugh as his fiery onslaught reduced the Ice Crystal Shield to vapor.

The Rank Four Mage was no more.

"Ding! You have ascended to the rank of Fire King."

"Ding! You have fulfilled the conditions to activate your Godhood. Would you like to proceed with the activation?"

As the Rank Four Mage breathed his last, Lin Mo was bombarded with a trio of system alerts.

"Activate!"

Lin Mo commanded with a surge of excitement.

"Ding! Your Godhood is now active, along with a 1000 cubic meter storage space. Please refer to the Godhood panel for details."

Lin Mo felt a thrill of secret delight. It was fortunate that he had found believers early on. Otherwise, activating his Godhood later would have meant wasting precious time.

Each believer could contribute one point of Power of Faith daily. This sacred energy could be used not only to exchange for skill points but also to amplify his own attributes, or even to bolster the attributes of a Saintess.

It's no surprise that the deities on this grand avenue are fiercely competing for followers. Clearly, the number of devotees is the bedrock of a god's power.

What's truly fascinating is that the system allows for the use of the Power of Faith to enter a lottery. However, it takes 10,000 units of this power for a single draw, and the potential prizes are a mystery. For now, Lin Mo has put that prospect on hold.

The Saintess serves as the gods' spokesperson on Earth, while the Holy Hall is the sacred venue where she communes with the divine. It's impractical for gods to manifest themselves to issue their edicts directly. The Saintess serves a dual purpose: she helps a god cultivate their influence and also frees up their time to attract more followers elsewhere.

Lin Mo shut the attribute panel and shifted his attention to the Spirit Cat clansmen behind him. They remained prostrate on the ground, not daring to rise. Lin Mo didn't prompt them to stand; a god must maintain their stature.

His immediate priority was to provide for his initial group of believers. With a steady influx of their faith power, he could then focus on expanding his reach.
