Bai Gang and the other students were shocked beyond belief, never expecting the weak Ye Chen to convey his words in such an arrogant manner.

"Ye Chen, you do realize that Liu Qianqian isn't with you at this moment, right?" Bai Gang said in a deep, cold voice and gazed intensely at Ye Chen.

The students all began having the same thoughts. Some even spoke evidently, "You still dare to say such words to Bai Gang, even when Senior Liu isn't by your side?! This unreserved confidence of yours will surely send you to hell..."

"The Anyue Academy forbids violence within its campus. Did you think you'll be able to attack me?" Ye Chen said in a cunning manner as he looked at Bai Gang with disdain.

Shocked in place, the students were, unable to comprehend nor understand the source of Ye Chen's confidence and arrogance. Could his actions truly be followed through, or was he simply bluffing?

Bai Gang, with fire in his eyes, leered at Ye Chen furiously. At that moment, he recalled Brother Yang Feng's orders: "Whenever Liu Qianqian was not by Ye Chen's side, do not hesitate to mock and insult him."

In the past, Ye Chen could not care less about the slurs they threw at him, but now...

Thinking about that fact, Bai Gang's face couldn't help but express his fury on his fuming face.

"Ye Chen, Anyue Academy indeed forbid any form of violence between their students, but only when it's reported by other witnesses... Knowing my position in this academy, no one would dare report me to the teachers."

Furthermore, they did not consider Ye Chen to be "one of them," rather considering him an outcast in the academy and of society.

Perhaps this was what they called self-inflicted pain, surely he had to be asking for death itself.

Ye Chen was surprised by the words uttered before him. To think that Bai Gang had the guts to say that in front of everyone.

"Bai Gang, you want to beat me up, right? What are you waiting for then?"

Ye Chen slipped his hands into his pockets as he looked at Bai Gang with a calm, confident expression and a smirk on his face. He thought to himself, "Now that I'm already at the 10th layer of Body Tempering, why should I be afraid of the trash who's still at the sixth layer of Body Tempering?"

Seeing the unconcerned expression on Ye Chen's face, Bai Gang could not hold back his fury any longer.

"You're courting death!"

With that, Bai Gang sent a punch towards Ye Chen.

The eyes of the Cultivation Chamber students, immersed in spectating the battle, were forced wide open as these battles on campus were a rare occurrence. However, they already knew that the end result would not bode well for Ye Chen.

What the students didn't expect was that Ye Chen didn't have any intention to dodge or block at all. Was he scared frozen? But the expression on his face didn't seem like it.

At that instant, Bai Gang's fist closed in on Ye chen's face rapidly and was on the verge of direct contact with it.

Bai Gang let out a sneering smirk, having been wanting to beat this trash up for the longest time!

However, Bai Gang never expected the following sequence to happen. Just as his fist was just a hair's breadth away from Ye Chen's face, his figure vanished into thin air, dodging the assault in an impressive manner.

The students of Cultivation Chamber exclaimed one after another, in awe on what had just occurred before their eyes.

In the blink of an eye, their position seemingly switched. Instead of the expected punch to Ye Chen's face, the situation transpired into Bai Gang receiving a powerful yet satisfying blow directly into his face.

Bai Gang, instantly sent flying a few dozen feet away, landed heavily on the ground and fainted.

*Gasp*

All the students gasped in atonishment with gaping eyes. It felt as if they had just seen some sort of miracle that should have never taken place.

Ye Chen... Wasn't he just some trash who peaked at Body Tempering Second Layer for the past few years?

All the students looked at each other in disbelief and could only think of one shocking possibility to explain this situation. Ye Chen...

... had been hiding his true power all along!

Ye Chen had been concealing his true talent and strength. To be able to knock out Bai Gang, at Body Tempering Sixth Layer, with a single punch, one had to be several times stronger than the former. What terrifying strength could he have been keeping a secret from the public?

"So... did anyone witness me hitting Bai Gang?"

Ye Chen glanced at the students and said in a soft, cunning tone.

The words coming out of his mouth sent shivers down the student's spine. Trembling, they looked at each other, as if waiting for someone to respond to Ye Chen's words.

Bai Gang was the subordinate of Yang Feng while Ye Chen had a good relationship with Liu Qianqian. From this spreading rumors, Ye Chen had even saved Liu Qianqian's life.

Ye Chen was not only pretending to be a weakling in the presence of the tiger, but also had Liu Qianqian to back him up.
