C14 April Night I See the Glaze Fire

The sky was getting darker and Yun Yan was walking alone on the mountain path. She was not in a village, nor was she in a shop, but she was afraid of the dark at night. At this time, because she had played around in the mountains during the day, it had caused her to be likely to be sleeping in the wilderness tonight.

Two days ago, her master, Yuli, had asked her to go down the mountain to train alone. At first, she was very happy in her heart, thinking that she could finally escape from her master's control and go down the mountain alone to have fun. Who knew that in just two days, no, it should be said that in just half a day, she had already started to miss the time she spent with her master.

The sky was getting darker and darker, and a crescent moon slowly rose from the sky. The shadows of the trees in the valley were mottled, and from time to time, they could hear the cries of the nightingale. Yun Yan only felt a chill behind her back.

In order to make it easier for her to go down the mountain to travel, Yuli had cast a spell on her body, turning her into a youth. Yun Yan's black hair was tied into a simple bun with a wooden hairpin, and he was dressed in a white long robe. With her big watery eyes, red lips, and white teeth, no matter how one looked at her, she was a handsome young master.

Other celestial demons and gods needed to cultivate for thousands of years or even tens of thousands of years to transform into human form. For example, her master, Yuli, although she was born as an immortal, she only transformed into human form at the age of over twenty thousand years. As for Yun Yan, who was a half-demon, because her mother was a mortal, she had maintained her human form since she was born. If she were to turn back into a skylark, she really did not know how to transform.

If she could transform, it would be much more convenient. For example, in this dark valley, she could transform into a skylark and rest on a big tree for a night. But now, she could only brace herself and continue walking in the darkness.

Suddenly, she saw a lamp in the distance ahead. Yun Yan was overjoyed. "Finally, I can see someone."

So she quickened her pace and ran towards the lamp. However, she found that the lamp was not far from her. The faster she ran, the further the lamp was from her. When she stopped, the lamp seemed to stop as well. It was as if it was waiting for her to chase after it.

Yun Yan stopped. She did not know if it was right to chase after an unknown lamp in this strange valley in the dark night. She hesitated for a long time and decided not to chase after the lamp.

Yun Yan leaned against a big tree to rest. The lamp appeared not far away from her. Then, the wind in the valley was blowing. Yun Yan wrapped her arms around her body and curled up. She cast a spell to set up a small barrier around her. Her cultivation was still shallow, so this barrier would be useful against some wild beasts. It would be difficult to deal with ordinary demons.

Yun Yan gradually fell asleep in the barrier. Suddenly, she did not know if she was dreaming or in reality. She vaguely heard a melodious flute sound. The flute sound was long and drawn out, echoing throughout the valley in the darkness.

Yun Yan opened her eyes and listened carefully to the sound of the flute. The tune was still the same as before, but it sounded even more mournful than before. It was as if the tune had some kind of magic. Yun Yan couldn't help but want to get closer and see what kind of person was playing the flute in the dark night.

Yun Yan slowly walked forward, but the sound of the flute became clearer and clearer. Yun Yan saw the light again and sighed, "So it's the light from before." Then she continued to walk towards the light.

The valley was dark, and the moonlight was faint. The light was especially eye-catching in the dark night. Yun Yan seemed to have been possessed as he walked straight towards the light. The sound of the flute continued, but Yun Yan's mind was completely blank. It was as if his soul had been pulled out of his body.

The light got closer and closer. Finally, there were a few trees that could reach it. The strange thing was that although the light was moving in the direction, no one was holding the light.

The sound of the flute stopped. Yun Yan was standing in front of the light. She looked around, but she didn't find anything apart from a few thick trees.

"Are you looking for me?" Suddenly, a cold female voice came. It was very close to her, as if it was right beside her. Yun Yan was shocked and quickly took a few steps back.

The voice sounded again, "I'm sorry, I scared you."

"Who, who is talking?" Yun Yan shouted.

"I'm right in front of you. Did you not see me?" The voice said faintly.

When Yun Yan heard her words, goosebumps rose all over her body. However, she was afraid that the other party would see through her fear, so she pretended to be calm and said, "Where are you?"

Suddenly, a white figure appeared in front of Yun Yan. She was so scared by the white figure that she cried out and fell to the ground.

The figure was hanging on the tree in front of her. Her elegant white clothes were stuck to her body, and her long hair was not tied up. Her long hair hung in front of Yun Yan. Her face, which was not bright at all under the moonlight, looked extremely pale. Her eyes were slightly protruding, and her eyes were like dead fish eyes. They were lifeless. A stiff smile hung on the corner of her mouth. She did not move her mouth, but she said two sentences to Yun Yan.

Yun Yan could only see clearly when the moonlight was hazy. She was not hanging on the tree. She was clearly standing on the tree with her feet upside down. Yun Yan crawled up from the ground and patted the dust off his clothes. The long-haired woman jumped down from the tree.

Her long hair slowly floated down with her movements, covering most of her pale face. Then, she casually brushed the hair that was stuck to her face.

Yun Yan quickly waved his hand and said, "No, no, it's too dark. I was rude to my sister."

The woman covered her mouth with her hand and chuckled. Her white sleeves covered half of her body, and her other hand held a white jade flute. Her laughter was very stiff, and she said, "No matter, no matter. Anyone who sees me like this will be shocked."

Yun Yan saw the woman's appearance and thought, "It can't be that unlucky to meet those mountain demons the moment I leave the house."

Yun Yan thought in his heart, but he forced a smile on his face. He purposely changed the topic and pointed to the lamp beside the woman and asked, "Sister, what kind of lamp is this? It looks very unique."

The woman smiled and said, "This lamp is called the Glazed Fire. It is a wisp of a spark from the western Buddha Lamp. It will not be extinguished when it comes into contact with water, and it can burn all things. I was fortunate enough to obtain a wisp of the spark and turned it into a lamp. It is more convenient to use it when we are on the way to the night."

Yun Yan nodded and said, "So that's how it is. Can I take a look at it?"

The woman smiled and said, "Of course." She waved her sleeves, and the Glazed Fire floated to Yun Yan's side. Yun Yan looked over and saw that the Glazed Fire looked like a bright lamp from the outside, but from the inside, it was indeed just a wisp of a spark. The spark was still emitting a faint blue light, and it spread out layer by layer. The outer layer was a layer of fiery red.
