C19 Marriage

The next time she went on a blind date, she would eat some vitamins and bring Amanda along. If anything happened to her, she would have to go with her. She had to take care of her health for the rest of her life.

"What's wrong? Auntie wants you to continue the blind date?"

Naomi looked up at Clark and sighed. "Yeah."

"Don't be so discouraged. There might be a surprise for the last time." Clark smiled and gave Naomi a hint of comfort.

"I hope so." Although she said that, Naomi still didn't have any hope for the blind date.

The last time, Naomi didn't ask for much. She was even more normal than the last time.

However, when the last blind date candidate appeared in front of her, she was shocked.

Amanda was late because of the traffic jam. Naomi had forgotten to contact her and was scared when she showed up later.

"Why? Why is it you?" Naomi found it hard to believe that Clark was her blind date. Was he missing a woman? She couldn't tell.

When Amanda rushed over, Naomi saw from afar that the little girl had given her a few meaningful glances.

Amanda thought that Naomi was blaming her for coming too late. She straightened her hair and prepared to kill the enemy.

"Damn it, why are you here?"

Amanda sneak attacked from behind. When Clark turned around to look at her, the air seemed to stop.

"Cough, cough, Hao Ran, I'm sorry. She is my friend, Amanda."

Naomi was still in a daze. "Amanda, it's all a misunderstanding. Cough, cough, this is my friend, Hao Ran."

"Uh, okay," Amanda replied in a daze.

Clark was all smiles. "What? Afraid that I might eat you? You even found a helper?"

Naomi felt embarrassed, but it was nothing. She muttered, "Who knows which we met this time? The last time, my heart couldn’t take it."

When Naomi and Clark left, they actually stopped them and said that they didn't have money to pay for two cups of coffee. Naomi immediately felt uncomfortable.

"Pfft, little girl."

Clark's smile was so beautiful that Amanda was stunned.

Naomi held the handle of the teacup and thought, "Of course, I didn't know it was you."

"Then now that I know, what do you think of me?"

Naomi gave him a thumbs up. "Amazing."

Clark was very pleased with his compliment. It was obvious that this move was very useful to him.

"About that, Hao Ran."

"Hmm, what's wrong?" Clark asked as he raised his head. His eyes were bright and pure.

"About that, your family is also urging you to get married?"

Clark's eyes flashed with a trace of cunning. "That's right. My grandfather is in a hurry. No one else is as anxious as him."

Naomi hesitated for a moment before she said her own thoughts, "Let's do this. My mother will urge me, and your grandfather will urge you. How about we pretend to be a couple and deal with the old lady?"

Naomi was very careful with her words, and she said it with a probing tone.

"Naomi, how can you joke about this kind of thing?" Amanda was anxious. She looked at Clark, hoping that he would not agree.

After a long time, the other party did not answer.

"If you don't agree, then forget it. I just want to make a living."

"No, I agree."

Naomi did not expect him to agree. She was stunned for a moment before she gave him two thumbs up. "That's great. Please eat the crayfish and drink the beer."

Clark's expression changed when he heard the beer, and he vaguely agreed.

The blind date social event came to an end. Naomi went home to report to her mother. Her mother roughly meant that she was very satisfied with the last blind date, so she found her good man at the end of the date. She could be at ease now.

"Hey, Mom, I know, I know. Alright, I'm going shopping with Hao Ran later. I'm going to change my clothes."

"Yes, yes, you must dress up beautifully. No, your daughter is beautiful to begin with, so you don't need to dress up."

"Alright, alright, you are born beautiful, but you can't resist the urge of aging. I understand, I understand. You can just stay at home and wait for the news."

After hanging up the phone, Naomi suddenly regretted telling the lie. Geneva was obviously more excited and passionate than before. Forget it, she would take it one step at a time.

The night was enchanting and the sea breeze blew.

Naomi and Clark were friends in the name of love. They were very simple, but if people saw them, they would change their minds.

"Sister-in-law, Clark." When Tommie saw Naomi and Clifton walking together, he regretted going out today and seeing this scene.

"Tommie? You know Clark?" Naomi was surprised. The world was so small that they could meet each other.

"Of course I know him. I, Clark, and Clifton are like brothers. How could I not know him?" Tommie was speechless. She looked at the loving smile on Clark's face when he walked beside Naomi. It was not a forced smile. However, Naomi was not Clifton's woman. How could she explain it to Clifton? Wouldn't that be harming her brother?

Tommie pulled Clark over and whispered, "What's wrong with you? Is the person you mentioned last time her?"

Clark nodded silently in agreement.

"Damn, it really is her. Do you know who she is?"

Clark was not a fool. When they met just now, Tommie had accidentally called out his nickname.

Tommie had no brothers or sisters, so how could he call her sister-in-law? If she was a woman, she would be called sister-in-law by him. If she was a woman, she would be...

"She is the beautiful girl from the Clifton family. What is this? How should I explain it to Clifton?"

Clark frowned. "You don't have to explain. Just pretend you didn't see us. I'll handle this."

Clark patted Tommie's shoulder. "I'll be leaving first."

He took Naomi's hand and left.

"Ah, you..." Tommie wanted to say something, but he didn't seem to have any intention of stopping.

Clark had been silent the entire time. The wind blew, and it was cold. He took off his coat and draped it over Naomi's shoulders.

Naomi felt that it was necessary to explain what Tommie had just said. She felt that there was nothing wrong with it.

"That, Tommie just called me that because I used to date Clifton."

"Yeah." Clark didn't seem to care.

"However, we just broke up not long ago."

Clark held Naomi's hand. "Naomi, it's nothing. We can still be together."

Naomi's face turned red. What did he mean by being together? Weren't they just pretending to be lovers? Her explanation was just a conversation between friends.

What was going on?
