C4 Can You Not Think of Something Healthy in Your Head?

After a while...

Naomi suddenly thought of what Clifton had told her that morning. She suddenly had the idea of cooking. She went to the supermarket to buy ingredients and then cooked a simple four dishes and one soup.

The moment the dishes were served, the door opened and Clifton walked in.

Naomi was stunned for a moment before she laughed. "Are you a fortune teller? You came back so quickly after cooking."

Clifton changed his shoes and walked to the dining table. He glanced at the dishes on the table and raised his eyebrows. "You cooked it?"

Naomi immediately remembered that she had said that she didn't know how to cook in the morning. She didn't dare to continue the topic. She quickly picked up the spoon and scooped up the rice. "Hurry up and wash your hands. If you don't eat, the food will be cold."

Clifton glanced at her and knew that she was purposely changing the topic, so he did not pursue the matter. However, he did not expect the food to taste so good that his appetite was greatly stimulated. Naomi, who had not eaten for the entire day, also had a very good appetite. The two of them ate until the food was all gone.

After eating, Naomi washed the dishes in the kitchen. Clifton suddenly walked over and said, "I have nothing to do tomorrow. Do you want to go somewhere nearby? We can go together tomorrow."

Naomi blinked her eyes, a struggle flashing in her eyes. "It's been a long time since I went back to my parents' place. I want to see them tomorrow."

"You're not allowed to go! It's rare that I have time. You can go to see your parents next week." Clifton threw down these words and turned to leave.

Naomi was dumbfounded. How could this man be so overbearing?

The next morning, 7:00.

Naomi was pulled up from the bed by Clifton. "The driver will be here in 15 minutes. We have to hurry."

The driver?

Naomi opened her eyes in confusion. "What driver?"

"Didn't you say that you were going to the villa in the suburbs last night? Did you forget?"

Naomi yawned. It took her a while to recall that Clifton had mentioned that he was going to a villa last night. She suddenly stood up from the bed and felt refreshed.

Clifton came out of the bathroom and saw that she had not moved. He raised his eyebrows and looked at the clock on the table. He said calmly, "You still have seven minutes."

"I'm dying!" Naomi shouted and rushed into the bathroom.

...

Ten minutes later, the two of them went downstairs and left in a car.

In the car, Clifton picked up the newspaper and looked at her. "It will take more than two hours to get to the villa. You can sleep for a while."

"Yes," Naomi answered vaguely and fell asleep.

The car slowly drove out of the city. The scene outside the window changed from a tall building to a mound of green land.

At 9:40, the car stopped at the destination.

Naomi got out of the car with Clifton. The old couple waiting by the roadside came up to them. "Young Master."

Clifton raised his head. "Uncle Zhang, Aunt Zhang, long time no see. How are you?"

"You always come back to visit us, and our illnesses have all disappeared." After the two of them finished laughing, Aunt Zhang turned to look at Naomi. There was a hint of uncertainty in her warm smile. "Clifton, who is this lady?"

"Naomi, my friend."

"Friends..." Aunt Zhang muttered softly. She raised her head and grabbed Naomi's hand with a smile. There was a hint of uncertainty in her eyes. "Miss Moore, how old are you this year?"

"25." Naomi smiled.

Aunt Zhang was shocked. "Oh my, Miss Moore is already 25. How does she look like that? I thought she was a young girl of 18 or 19 years old."

Naomi didn't know how to answer. She could only smile foolishly with her eyes closed.

Then, Aunt Zhang held Naomi's hand and asked about her family's situation. Naomi answered them one by one out of respect for the old lady, but she was confused in her heart! Especially when she felt Aunt Zhang's meaningful gaze, her scalp went numb. She could only look at Clifton who was walking in front of her.

Perhaps it was because her gaze was too hot, Clifton finally turned around and looked at her. "Let's go to the backyard."

"Alright." Naomi quickly followed him.

The two of them walked towards the backyard. Only then did Naomi have the time to size up the manor. Looking around, it was thousands of square meters. Other than the European-style building in the middle, there was green everywhere.

Naomi had always wanted to go out for a walk after work, but she had no time. Now that she had the chance to take a breather, she felt refreshed.

But soon, she could not laugh anymore.

"What?! Pick the vegetables?!"

Naomi was stunned when she saw the basket of vegetables in Clifton's hands.

Didn't they say that they were going out for a walk?

Why did it turn into picking the vegetables?

Clifton pinched her cheeks and asked, "Why? Are you unwilling?"

Naomi opened her mouth and suddenly laughed, "Mr. Cobb is indeed a businessman. He wants to squeeze out the labor of others when he brings people out for a walk. He doesn't even want to suffer a loss!"

Clifton raised his eyebrows and asked, "Then are you going or not?"

"I've already been dragged into this. Do I have any room for regret?" Naomi's small face fell as she deliberately put on a sad expression. She walked towards the vegetable field with heavy steps.

Clifton's mouth curled up into a smile. He was successfully amused by her.

In the end, it proved that Clifton was a very kind business man. They only picked some vegetables and fruits that they wanted to eat for lunch and went back.

In the house, Naomi felt very embarrassed when she saw Auntie Zhang busy herself in the kitchen. She stood up to help and showed off her cooking skills, which made Auntie Zhang praise her endlessly.

"Clifton, Naomi is a good girl! You must cherish her!" After a short period of contact, Aunt Zhang had changed her name from Miss Moore to Naomi.

Clifton turned to look at Naomi with a smile on his face. "She's pretty good."

Naomi was a shy girl, so she blushed when she was praised. She lowered her head so low that she almost buried her face in her rice bowl.

Uncle and Aunt Zhang smiled in relief as they watched this scene.

...

After dinner, Clifton and Naomi walked around the manor for a while before going back upstairs to sleep.

At 2:50 in the afternoon, the two of them left the manor.

After entering the city, Clifton asked, "Where is your parents' house? I'll send you there first, then I'll go back."

Naomi replied, "New Ping District."

After sitting in the car for two hours, she felt extremely uncomfortable. However, Uncle and Aunt Zhang still had some vegetables and fruits that they had given to her parents in the trunk. It was difficult for her to refuse.

Twenty minutes later, the car stopped in Unit D of New Ping District.

Clifton asked the driver to help Naomi move the things upstairs before leaving.

...

The next day, Monday.

After experiencing a night of crazy bombardment from her mother, Naomi had successfully arrived three minutes late.

In the tea:

Amanda teased Naomi, "Mr. Cobb, you don't know how to cherish a woman. Look at you, your eyes are so dark that they almost look like pandas."

Naomi raised her head and rolled her eyes at her. "Can't you think of something healthy?"

"Why am I not healthy?" Amanda raised her eyebrows. "Isn't it just a matter of men and women getting together? Why else would they do that? Drink tea? Chat? If that's the case, then this man must be sick or gay!"

"I think you're the gay one!" Naomi rolled her eyes at her. She was used to her good friend's behavior, so she didn't bother with her.
