C166 Sunset Valley(1)

Sunset Canyon, located at the western edge of the Sunset Nation, is the country's most mysterious place. The canyon isn't just a single formation but a vast network of intertwining gorges. Legend has it that this area was formed after a battle between powerful beings in ancient times. The lingering battle energy has drawn many to seek enlightenment here, making it a place of great renown.

Even after countless years, some still find immense opportunities here, though the chances are slim. Nevertheless, the area is frequented by cultivators hoping to change their fortunes. When Woo Zhengyang and Loong Zhiwu arrived at Sunset Canyon, thousands of cultivators had already gathered. Most were there hoping to get lucky after hearing rumors of an ancient dwelling being discovered. Although the major sects of Sunset Nation would likely control the dwelling once it opened, there was still a chance for others to benefit.

The exact location of the dwelling was yet to be determined. If someone managed to enter as soon as it opened, even the major sects couldn't stop them. However, upon exiting, they would likely face scrutiny and might have to share some of their findings. Alternatively, they could gain such fortune that the major sects would compete to recruit them. Either way, it was an opportunity.

By recognizing the attire, Woo Zhengyang and Loong Zhiwu easily found the gathering spot for the disciples of the Heavenly Martial Academy. Soon after, Woo Zhengyang, dressed in the academy's outer disciple uniform, sat in a corner with a number tag in hand.

As for Loong Zhiwu, he mysteriously claimed he would find the location of the hidden cave, but Woo Zhengyang wasn't convinced.

In the Fallen Sun Country, besides the Heavenly Martial Academy, there are three major sects: the Fallen Sun Sect, the Fallen Moon Sect, and the Fallen Star Sect. The Fallen Sun Sect is the oldest and its strength is comparable to the Heavenly Martial Academy. The Fallen Moon and Fallen Star Sects are said to have branched off from the Fallen Sun Sect.

The emergence of this cave is a significant event for the Fallen Sun Country. The allure of a newly revealed cave is far greater than that of a long-standing secret realm. Even experts at the Shape Gathering Stage might find something valuable inside.

The vice principal of the Heavenly Martial Academy, the elder of the Fallen Sun Sect, and the sect masters of the Fallen Moon and Fallen Star Sects were all gathered here. None of them could locate the cave. Could Loong Zhiwu really find it so easily?

It turned out that Woo Zhengyang underestimated Loong Zhiwu's mysterious abilities once again. On the second day of their arrival, the ground in the Sunset Canyon began to tremble violently, and cracks appeared in some areas. In the sky, a scene like a paradise appeared, and everyone was thrilled.

Seeing the vision in the sky, Woo Zhengyang was also deeply amazed. Was this really a cave? Layers of mountains, lakes with rippling waters, countless pavilions and palaces, and a garden filled with various mystical herbs—this was truly a sacred land!

What shocked Woo Zhengyang the most was when a mysterious phenomenon appeared, and a figure was suddenly flung into the air. Others might not recognize it, but Woo Zhengyang knew it was Loong Zhiwu, who had been following him for days. She had actually found the entrance to the hidden chamber!

As soon as the entrance appeared, leaders and elders from various sects rushed over, along with many opportunistic adventurers hoping to sneak in. However, their efforts were in vain. Although the entrance was visible, it remained sealed, reportedly protected by an ancient barrier. Otherwise, Loong Zhiwu wouldn't have been thrown out.

Woo Zhengyang didn't rush over recklessly. He knew his abilities were insignificant among so many powerful figures, so he chose to wait patiently.

Not long after, Loong Zhiwu returned, looking a bit disheveled but grinning widely. "So, kid, do you believe in your big sister now?" she said triumphantly.

"What good is finding it if you can't open it and just get tossed out?" Woo Zhengyang replied dismissively. If he showed even a hint of surprise, Loong Zhiwu would boast about it for ages.

"You just wait, I'll open it eventually!" Loong Zhiwu huffed and stormed off.

Three days passed in a flash, and the mysterious phenomenon in the sky had vanished, yet the chamber remained sealed.

Loong Zhiwu came back, looking frustrated. "Hey, kid, you can craft top-tier treasure pills, so you must be a master of barriers too, right? Come with me and take a look..."

Woo Zhengyang didn't say much and simply followed Loong Zhiwu. The place they were headed to was nestled within the sheer cliffs of a canyon. The canyon had been sealed off by core disciples from the three sects of the Heavenly Martial Academy. However, upon seeing Loong Zhiwu, they didn't stop them. Some of the academy's disciples even greeted her cheerfully, calling her "sister."

"Sister?" Woo Zhengyang looked at Loong Zhiwu suspiciously, unsure of what she was up to.

Loong Zhiwu leaned in close to Woo Zhengyang and whispered mysteriously, "Usually, I can't let too many people know my identity. I have to keep it secret... You can see how much I've sacrificed for you in this country..."

Woo Zhengyang just shrugged without a word. Loong Zhiwu continued, "Right now, I'm posing as an inner disciple with some knowledge of formations, and you're my little brother. Remember to call me 'sister,' okay?"

Woo Zhengyang was speechless. Loong Zhiwu had always wanted him to call her sister, and now she had given him a role that required it.
