C181 Game!(2)

“Hey, buddy, how about joining our team at the Heavenly Martial Academy? In the end, it’ll be just the two of us showing our skills. I promise no one else will interfere!” The last swordsman from the academy, seeing that the expert in formations was Woo Zhengyang, immediately made the offer.

By taking the initiative, he saw a chance. If Woo Zhengyang agreed, he had no doubt his teammates would turn on him.

“Don’t trust him, man. Those folks at the Heavenly Martial Academy are crafty and will definitely break their word. How about we team up and take them down first? Then our two teams can face off!”

“Haha... You’ve got some nerve saying that. You guys have eight people. Wouldn’t it make more sense for them to team up with us first?”

What started as a bid for Woo Zhengyang alone quickly turned into a contest for his entire team, with both the Heavenly Martial Academy and the Fallen Sun Sect pulling out all the stops.

The four people behind Woo Zhengyang kept their eyes on him, waiting for his decision, knowing he held the key to their fate. If he chose to join the Heavenly Martial Academy, they’d be left defenseless, with no chance of survival. But if he sided with one group and took them along, they might still have a shot.

“Enough... I’m not interested in either of you.”

Woo Zhengyang’s response took everyone by surprise. His decision meant he was willing to stand against both sides, ensuring that the Fallen Sun Sect and the Heavenly Martial Academy would first join forces to take on his team of five.

Although they were puzzled as to why Woo Zhengyang would put himself in a dangerous situation, the four were deeply grateful. At least Woo Zhengyang hadn't chosen to abandon them. Woo Zhengyang had his own reasons for his decision.

First, he wasn't the type to abandon his teammates. Second, neither the Heavenly Martial Academy nor the Fallen Sun Sect truly intended to cooperate with them; eventually, they would end up clashing. Most importantly, Woo Zhengyang wasn't intimidated by the combined forces of these two groups, so there was no need for unnecessary actions.

Upon Woo Zhengyang's decision, the sword-wielders from both the Heavenly Martial Academy and the Fallen Sun Sect breathed a sigh of relief. Regardless of who Woo Zhengyang allied with, they would be the most at risk, as none of them felt confident facing him.

With that settled, the forces from the Heavenly Martial Academy and the Fallen Sun Sect simultaneously charged at Woo Zhengyang and his group of five. The two opposing factions, usually at odds, were now in perfect sync, focusing their main attack on Woo Zhengyang.

The four behind Woo Zhengyang, seeing the fierce charge from both sides, were on high alert. However, without Woo Zhengyang's command, they dared not act rashly. In the blink of an eye, the two groups closed in to within about 120 feet, yet Woo Zhengyang still hadn't issued any orders.

"Boss!" Blade Man couldn't help but remind him.

"Form up, don't worry about me!" Woo Zhengyang finally gave the command, leaving everyone bewildered.

As the four watched, Woo Zhengyang didn't join the formation; instead, he charged forward on his own. When he decided to oppose the Heavenly Martial Academy and the Fallen Sun Sect, Woo Zhengyang never intended for the other four to fight. The formation was strong, but the four of them were far less powerful than the elite disciples of these sects. If they joined the battle, casualties would be inevitable. More importantly, the joint attack array was just one of many tactics for Woo Zhengyang. After the recent battle, the effectiveness of the joint attack array was proven. Now, Woo Zhengyang wanted to test his own skills.

"Wait!" he commanded, stopping the four who were about to rush forward when they saw him charging alone.

The sixteen opponents were initially shocked to see Woo Zhengyang coming at them solo, but then they were overjoyed. Was this guy crazy, coming to his death willingly? However, in the next moment, they realized it wasn't Woo Zhengyang who was courting death—it was themselves.

One step. Two steps. Three steps... Seven steps. From the moment Woo Zhengyang made his move to when the two sides met, he had taken exactly seven steps. On the seemingly unbreakable ground of No Life City, those seven steps appeared ordinary, but only Woo Zhengyang knew the power accumulating with each step. It was the "Dragon Countering Nine Steps."

As he calculated, just as they were about to clash, Woo Zhengyang completed his seventh step, using the recoil to leap into the air!

The first to face the challenge was a gunman from the Heavenly Martial Academy. He felt a twinge of fear upon seeing Woo Zhengyang, but as Woo charged toward him, he suddenly leaped into the air, feeling a surge of confidence. Jumping up in front of so many people with no support seemed like a reckless move, almost suicidal.

Thinking this, he thrust his spear at Woo Zhengyang. However, he would never know that this scene had played out before in the Cloud Fluttering Country, where the attacker, the top student of the Heavenly Martial Academy's outer division, had far superior skills but met a tragic end.

In the next moment, he felt Woo Zhengyang's foot land on the tip of his spear. Woo's foot remained unharmed, while the gunman staggered from the shock. Before he could react, Woo Zhengyang's ninth step landed squarely on his back.

"Ugh..."

Blood spurted from his mouth as he flew backward. Behind him, four men with blades were momentarily stunned, only to see the gunman hurtling toward them, coughing up blood. Their instincts kicked in, and they quickly shifted formation. The bowman fired a shot, and the gunman launched one final attack!

The first one was down.
