C214 Scarlet Flame's Fury(1)

The power of Soul Energy is incredibly effective for crafting, alchemy, and controlling formations. Crafting and alchemy require meticulous attention to detail, while controlling formations involves not only mastery but also constant strategizing.

With Woo Zhengyang's ability to strategize, he had already anticipated the challenges he would face once he opposed the Liu family. The combined efforts of six martial artists to break his formation were expected, and it even turned out to be fewer than he had predicted.

A few more array flags were scattered, and while the formation appeared unchanged from the outside, the distribution of those flags allowed everyone to guess Woo Zhengyang's intentions. It was a formation within a formation!

What puzzled everyone was that Woo Zhengyang's actions seemed to only buy him some time. The six martial artists kept attacking, gradually shrinking the range of his formation, and it seemed inevitable that he would be cornered.

Soon, everyone understood Woo Zhengyang's plan. He took a step forward, facing one of the martial artists from a distance. As the martial artist struck at the array flag, Woo Zhengyang swung his Autumn Water Sword.

A flash of sword light passed, and before the martial artist could shatter the array flag, his head was split in two.

"Sword light!"

"This kid isn't just a Martial Disciple..."

"A martial artist of this caliber at such a young age? And he knows how to use a lethal formation? Where on earth did this guy come from?"

As everyone marveled, the martial artist refused to give in. On the other side, another array flag was finally broken, but due to the complex layers of the formation, the head of the Liu family remained trapped, unable to extricate himself.

Meanwhile, Woo Zhengyang once again faced a martial artist. The recent death of one of their own had alerted the remaining five. As Woo Zhengyang approached, this martial artist halted his attack on the array flag, ready to confront Woo Zhengyang, yet prepared to retreat at any moment. Woo Zhengyang was just too unpredictable.

With another step forward, Woo Zhengyang closed the distance to where their blades could reach each other. Almost simultaneously, both swung their swords at one another. But in the next moment, the martial artist found himself in a snowy, icy night.

"Didn't I avoid the range of the formation?" he thought, just as the cold around him seemed to lessen. The warmth came from the blood gushing from his forehead...

Woo Zhengyang had used the first move of the Ink Night Sword Washing Arts, "Conceal the Sword in the Ink Night." Although the Autumn Water Sword was not as high-grade as the No Life Sword, it was still a mid-grade spiritual weapon, perfectly aligned with the power of the Nine Nether Cold Ice. This allowed Woo Zhengyang to execute the sword skill with enough force that it couldn't be easily resisted, even if its power was somewhat diminished.

Tonight, Woo Zhengyang has already taken down five Martial Masters. Each time, he manages to surprise everyone, and this time is no different.

Both sides came prepared for this encounter. Even though Woo Zhengyang is at the Advanced Martial Master stage, it seemed impossible for a Martial Master to fall so easily. There was no sign of retreat or even an attempt to resist. It was as if, once Woo Zhengyang drew his sword, the opponent just stood there waiting for the end.

"Monster! This guy is definitely a monster!" someone exclaimed in fear.

They couldn't comprehend how a Martial Master could be defeated so effortlessly by Woo Zhengyang. The opponent's blade aura was dodged, and before they knew it, Woo Zhengyang's sword aura was already upon them.

With the gruesome death of this Martial Master, only four remained, aside from the frenzied Patriarch Liu, who was still trapped in the formation. Outside Woo Zhengyang's array, seven flags still stood.

Given Woo Zhengyang's speed in setting up formations, even if all the flags were destroyed, no one dared to step inside lightly, let alone now. They didn't even dare to attack the flags anymore. That last strike from Woo Zhengyang was anything but ordinary, and none of them felt confident enough to withstand it.

For a moment, both sides were locked in a stalemate.

"Woo Zhengyang! Let my father go, and I promise to let you leave!" Liu Yunyun called out, seeing the situation.

At this point, Yunyun had no choice but to compromise. She never imagined that Woo Zhengyang, who was barely clinging to life a few days ago and whom she never paid any attention to, would turn the Liu family upside down in such a short time.

Not only was her father trapped, but the people Woo Zhengyang had already taken down had shaken the very foundation of the Liu family. With the talent in her generation dwindling, the family's status was on the brink of collapse. She couldn't let Woo Zhengyang continue his rampage.

Woo Zhengyang glanced at her and scoffed, "If you knew this would happen, why did you act that way in the first place? Do you really think the Liu family has any credibility left? The real issue now isn't whether your family will let me go, but whether I'm willing to let you go!"

He had no intention of believing her words. He could easily imagine that if he backed down, the Liu family would stop at nothing to eliminate him and remove any future threat.

This was the way of the world—once opposing sides were established, it was a fight to the end.

"Do you really think that this little formation alone can bring down the Liu family? If you stop now, there's still time. Otherwise, when the Liu family's patriarch steps in, even if he can't break the formation, taking you down won't be difficult!"
