C242 Woo Zhengyang's Hospitality(1)
“Boom...”
“Boom...”
“Boom...”
Inside the inner courtyard of the Profound Heaven Sect, the sound of pounding drums echoed continuously from Woo Zhengyang's small yard. A crowd had gathered at the entrance, staring in shock at the scene unfolding inside.
Woo Zhengyang had grabbed Bi Qingbo and Lei Zhiye, one in each hand, and was slamming them into the ground like hammers. The two had come prepared, thinking they could restrain Woo Zhengyang and prevent him from setting up any formations. They believed they had him cornered, but they never imagined that Woo Zhengyang had no intention of using formations against them.
What amused Woo Zhengyang the most was that these two had practically delivered themselves to him, allowing him to easily wield his Profound Heavy Power. Since they claimed this was just a friendly sparring match in the courtyard, Woo Zhengyang saw no reason to hold back. After all, this was his territory, and they were the guests!
Woo Zhengyang’s hospitality was overwhelmingly intense, so much so that Bi Qingbo and Lei Zhiye could hardly handle it. As cultivators at the Reality Condensing Stage, their physical strength and power were derived from the energy within them. However, the Profound Heavy Power from Woo Zhengyang's gloves disrupted their energy flow entirely.
Without the protection of their inner energy, the two men were no stronger than average people, making them easy targets for Woo Zhengyang. Even without using martial techniques, Woo Zhengyang's strength was formidable, easily reaching 1,400 pounds. The two couldn't withstand it and were quickly knocked unconscious.
Yet, Woo Zhengyang didn't stop. He continued his assault, fueled by frustration. After returning to find Uncle Fu injured and his efforts to enter the inner circle proving fruitless, Woo Zhengyang's mood was already sour. These two just picked the wrong time to provoke him.
Blow after blow, Ray Zhiye and Bi Qingbo were knocked out, only to come to and cough up blood before being knocked out again. This went on for a good fifteen minutes until Woo Zhengyang, losing interest, casually tossed them out of the courtyard.
By then, the stone ground of Woo Zhengyang's courtyard bore two spiderweb-like cracks. Ray Zhiye and Bi Qingbo probably wouldn't die, but they certainly wouldn't be getting out of bed for a few months unless they had some miraculous healing pills. Even then, recovery would take at least a month.
With that done, Woo Zhengyang dusted off his hands and headed into the training room. Outside the courtyard, the two barely conscious figures lay there, surrounded by a group of onlookers, mouths agape in disbelief.
Among these people, a few were even inner disciples who had come after hearing the commotion. Both the inner disciples and their followers were aware of Ray Zhiye and Bill Qingbo's intentions. They were eager to see if the notorious Woo Zhengyang would back down in the face of pressure from the Xuan Gang and Tian Gang.
Many anticipated that, given Woo Zhengyang's audacious nature and his history of never suffering major setbacks, he would not compromise. They even expected his stance to be so unyielding that it would embarrass Ray Zhiye and Bill Qingbo, potentially leading to a confrontation.
After Woo Zhengyang's identity as an Array Master became known, everyone in the Profound Heaven Sect took notice. Some were secretly preparing countermeasures, considering Woo's personal strength as a potential weak point. They believed that if they could strike first and prevent him from deploying his arrays, defeating him would be straightforward.
As a result, there was widespread curiosity about whether a clash would occur. If it did, people were eager to see whether Woo Zhengyang's mastery of arrays would shine once more or if his lack of personal strength would lead to his downfall. Thus, even those inner disciples who didn't show up in person sent their followers to gather information.
When the crowd saw Ray Zhiye and Bill Qingbo restraining Woo Zhengyang's hands, they realized the two had come prepared and might have already found a way to counter Woo Zhengyang's array techniques.
No one expected the outcome to be like this. Woo Zhengyang didn't even use the formations that everyone feared. He didn't resort to weapons or martial skills either. Yet, Bi Qingbo and Lei Zhiye, ranked seventeenth and nineteenth among the inner disciples, were tossed around like ragdolls in his hands.
It's not unheard of for a new inner disciple to surpass their predecessors. The most recent example was Zhongli Huo. After joining, he quickly challenged a disciple from the Sky Sect, who was ranked fifty-sixth and was a Middle Rank Martial Master. Zhongli Huo had the advantage of the Fire Body.
However, Zhongli Huo's pure Fire Body was different from Woo Zhengyang's Ice Crystal Fire Body. To be precise, it was the method passed down from the Ice Crystal Fire Hall that harmonized the Ice Crystal Fire Body. This allowed Woo Zhengyang to use the Profound Heaven Fire Power for body strengthening and the Nine Nether Ice Crystal Power for refining energy.
