C395 Fallen Sun Tower Lower(1)
Not long after the five elders of the Fallen Sun Sect entered the White Jade Tower, the pearl atop the tower, resembling a setting sun, suddenly became dazzling. A fiery red light curtain enveloped the entire Sunset Peak.
Woo Zhengyang and the four women, including Bing'er, were blocked by this light curtain at the base of Sunset Peak. The icy blue sword energy struck the barrier, causing it to ripple, but it quickly returned to its original state.
This light curtain was similar to the one produced by the Ranking Tower in the Heavenly Martial Realm, but it was significantly more powerful. Even Moh Lunhui could shatter the light curtain in the Heavenly Martial Realm, yet Woo Zhengyang, whose combat strength now surpassed that of an ordinary expert at the Reality Condensing Stage, still couldn't break through this fiery red barrier.
"Woo Zhengyang, it's pointless to try. The Fallen Sun Tower is the foundation of our sect. Even a Martial King expert couldn't break through the Sunset Glow Shield!" Just then, the five elders of the Fallen Sun Sect emerged from the White Jade Tower, accompanied by an elderly woman with a youthful face and white hair.
Though she was also at the Shape Gathering Stage, she was much stronger than the other five, nearly reaching the pinnacle of her stage. Based on Woo Zhengyang's understanding of sect strategy, she was likely a senior elder candidate, always in the Fallen Sun Tower, striving to reach the Reality Condensing Stage.
Aside from the six individuals, a dozen or so figures gradually emerged from the other palaces. Though they appeared young, their abilities far surpassed those of their peers.
Even after the calamity that nearly wiped out the Fallen Sun Sect, its foundation remained unmatched by smaller sects.
"Kid, did you really kill my brother?" the old woman asked.
"That's right!"
Hearing Woo Zhengyang's admission, the old woman's previously calm face showed a hint of anger. She spoke coldly, "Well... well... you've got guts."
As she spoke, the energy around her surged. Her silver hair slowly transformed into a glossy black mane, and the deep lines on her face smoothed out.
Within moments, a striking middle-aged woman stood before everyone.
The "Dust Fate Secret Art"!
According to legend, some could abandon worldly ties and immerse themselves in decades, even centuries, of rigorous training to reach the next level. This path of asceticism was known as the "Dust Fate Secret Art."
Practitioners of this art aged faster than ordinary people due to their intense focus on cultivation, absorbing Heaven and Earth Vital Energy without release. Only upon successfully reaching the next stage would they regain their youthful appearance.
Though the old woman hadn't reached the Reality Condensing Stage, she forcibly restored her youth to unleash her true power.
Woo Zhengyang was puzzled. He knew he had already defeated someone at the Reality Condensing Stage, so what difference would it make if he showed his full strength?
"Kid, you're impressive, but you shouldn't be so arrogant. Otherwise, I might never get the chance to avenge my brother!" the middle-aged woman declared, casting a few hand seals toward the Fallen Sun Tower behind her.
As those seals were absorbed, the pearl at the top of the tower glowed even brighter. A beam of light, like a colorful ribbon, danced around and wrapped itself around the woman.
In an instant, her aura intensified several times over!
Seeing this, Woo Zhengyang understood. The Fallen Sun Tower was indeed an extraordinary artifact, similar in its supportive abilities to the Ice Crystal Fire Hall, but even more dazzling and magnificent.
"Prepare to meet your end, thief!" the woman shouted, launching herself into the air. She stood atop a red barrier, her radiance overshadowing even the pearl atop the tower, as if she were the sun itself.
A beam of light shot from her hands, like the sun breaking through the clouds, its brilliance blinding.
Realizing the strange power of the Fallen Sun Tower, Woo Zhengyang and the four women, including Bing'er, were on high alert. As the beam approached, Woo Zhengyang swiftly swung down his No Life Sword to counter it.
“Shhh... Shhh...”
The icy blue sword aura clashed with the fiery red beam, ice and fire energies countering and neutralizing each other...
“Crash...”
After a crisp sound, the icy blue light scattered, quickly absorbed by the heat in the air. The sword aura, imbued with the power of the Nine Nether Ice, shattered! This had never happened since Woo Zhengyang started using the energy pool of the Ice Crystal Fire Hall.
The beam unleashed by the middle-aged woman, though not shattered, dimmed and was retracted.
“Even with external help, you’re no match for me!” she sneered, forming a new hand seal.
A red ribbon flew from the jewel atop the Fallen Sun Tower, coalescing into a fiery red sword in her hand.
“Sir, that old woman’s strength far surpasses yours, so even though the Fallen Sun Tower isn’t as powerful as the Ice Crystal Fire Hall, together they give her the edge,” Jing'er timely reminded.
Woo Zhengyang’s pupils narrowed slightly as he kept a close watch on the woman in the air, saying nothing.
