C425 Rice's Invincible Arrow(2)
Phase Two: The Battle for Badges
After the first round of assessments, another selection will take place at the Azure Sun Martial Mansion's practicing field. There are ten arenas, each allowing only ten competitors to remain. The final hundred participants will receive a badge, marking them as the top hundred in the Thousand-village Martial Competition.
Phase Three involves narrowing down to the top fifty. This process is straightforward: opponents are randomly selected, and each match determines a winner.
Phase Four is the contest for the top twenty-five. Again, opponents are randomly paired, but this time, those who lose have three chances to challenge again.
The final phase is the ranking match for the top twenty-five. This stage is more detailed, using a points system where everyone competes against each other, and rankings are determined by total points.
Additionally, the competition's rankings, along with the number and order of those passing the first round, directly affect the standings of all villages. Making it into the top hundred earns a point for the competitor's village, the top fifty earns two points, the top forty earns three points, and so on. Those reaching the top ten see their points double: tenth place earns ten points, ninth earns twenty, and first place secures a hundred points. Generally, the top ten significantly influence their village's overall ranking.
Of course, the points from the first stage are crucial. The first person to pass through the Azure Forest earns ten points, the second gets nine, and so on, down to a basic score of one point for everyone. Villages ranked beyond the top hundred are ordered by these points. If scores are tied, the order of completion determines the ranking. If no one finishes, rankings are based on the time of elimination and the speed of progress. In other words, without skill, it's impossible to coast through the competition.
Two days later, the group arrived at a bustling small town. This was Green Sun Town, the starting point for the Thousand-village Martial Competition. Despite being called a town, Green Sun was more like a small city, rivaling the bustling places Woo Zhengyang had seen, except for Heavenly Martial City. Over eighteen hundred village teams gathered here, making it exceptionally lively.
Due to the constant drizzle, the architectural style here was quite different from what they were used to. Most buildings had interconnected roofs, using luminous pearls for lighting. While the locals were accustomed to the perpetual rain, they knew there were times when it shouldn't interfere. Walking through the crowded streets, the faces were all unfamiliar.
In this world, unlike the previous one, every person Woo Zhengyang saw was undoubtedly a Body Tempering cultivator. The gathering of tens of thousands of these cultivators was unimaginable before.
Little Rice loved the hustle and bustle, and since it was her first time in such a city, her big eyes darted around, trying to take everything in.
"Mr. Zhengyang, that little figure on the stick is so cute!"
"That's a sugar figurine. You can eat it."
"Eat it... How can you eat a person?"
"There are ones shaped like animals. Do you want one?"
"Yes, yes... I want one!"
"Mr. Zhengyang, what's that big fluffy white thing?"
"That's cotton candy, also edible! Do you want some?"
"Yes... yes..."
Before long, Little Rice was holding cotton candy in one hand and a sugar figurine in the other. Even Liu Dahu and a few others, including Woo Zhengyang, were enjoying cotton candy.
This was one of the unique aspects of this world. In the previous world, cultivation was all there was. In a city this large, if there were stalls, they would surely be filled with cultivation resources, especially during gatherings. Items like cotton candy and sugar figurines would never have appeared.
Fortunately, the Heavenly Essence Stone was a universal currency, even more valuable in this region. Woo Zhengyang, being quite wealthy, naturally did his best to fulfill Little Rice's wishes.
"Mr. Zhengyang, is this edible too?"
"Mr. Zhengyang, does that taste good?"
"Mr. Zhengyang, I adore you so much..."
Perhaps it was her name, but Rice had an innate sensitivity to anything edible. Her love for food was insatiable, and she had a huge appetite, making her a true little foodie. Throughout the journey, she relished every bite, and even Liu Dahu and a few others enjoyed the feast alongside her.
Due to local customs, the cultivators here weren't too particular about food and lodging. They were used to hunting outdoors, so most participants in the Thousand-village Martial Competition camped outside.
Woo Zhengyang and his group aimed to head directly to the starting point of the competition, the boundary marker of the Azure Sun Forest.
"Well, well... Who's this pretty little lady? Why don't you come home with me and be my wife?"
A mocking voice echoed as a dozen figures blocked Woo Zhengyang and his companions.
