C448 Gravity Room(2)

What worried Woo Zhengyang more was the current state of Liu Dahu. With so many people outside being played for fools, what might he encounter inside that mysterious gravity room?

Initially, he thought there would be more ridicule after the laughter subsided, but to his surprise, the crowd quickly dispersed. Some entered the courtyard below, while others went into the gravity rooms, though they chose ones with higher numbers.

The lingering anxiety left everyone unsure of their next move, faces clouded with worry. Whenever someone passed by, they would glance over with a smirk, their eyes full of mockery. Several girls even crouched down, sobbing quietly.

Woo Zhengyang, slightly better off than the other young folks from the village, still couldn't shake a sense of loneliness and helplessness. The Azure Sun Martial Mansion felt unsettling.

He hesitated about whether to enter the gravity room to find Liu Dahu. After some thought, he decided to give himself an hour. Liu Dahu’s pass allowed him to stay in the gravity room for an hour, and it was likely he couldn't leave before then, just as everyone had to wait a year before they could leave the Martial Mansion.

The long wait finally ended, and an hour passed. Lights flickered in front of the gravity room, and Liu Dahu emerged. Seeing that Liu Dahu was unscathed and even a bit excited, Woo Zhengyang felt a wave of relief.

When Liu Dahu showed up, everyone gathered around him. Unaware of their curiosity, Liu excitedly began recounting his experiences. Just as expected, the so-called gravity room was exactly as Woo Zhengyang described—a unique space where one's body feels incredibly heavy. Even someone as strong as Liu Dahu found his movements significantly slowed.

However, this wasn't a bad thing. Such an environment was incredibly beneficial for body tempering practitioners. The intense pressure provided unparalleled benefits for both physical conditioning and mastery of martial skills, making training there twice as effective.

Upon hearing this, the group's initial fear eased considerably, and some even felt eager to give it a try. Woo Zhengyang, however, remained a bit worried. His pass allowed him to use the gravity room for five hours, while Rice's pass was only good for one hour. This meant Rice would be alone outside for four hours, which made Woo Zhengyang uneasy.

In the end, Woo Zhengyang offered his pass to Rice to see if she could enter with it, and to his surprise, it worked. This meant Woo Zhengyang had to wait outside. His plan was to wait for four hours and then use Rice's pass to enter, so they could leave together.

As for the possibility of someone trying to take the number one pass inside, Woo Zhengyang wasn't concerned. He believed that after everything that had happened, the young people from the various villages would likely band together.

The main thing is, during the Thousand-village Martial Competition, nobody dared to provoke Woo Zhengyang. Now, in the mysterious Azure Sun Martial Mansion, it's even less likely anyone would want to make enemies.

The only real concern is the people from the Azure Sun Martial Mansion.

After playing around with everyone for a bit, aside from the occasional mocking glance, the people from the mansion ignored them and went about their own business.

But what exactly is going on here? No one can figure it out, and there's no one to ask, which is incredibly frustrating.

Woo Zhengyang noticed that the people around him were teenagers, about the same age as those from various villages.

Since the Body Tempering Technique doesn't reveal one's level directly, Woo Zhengyang had to judge based on their walking speed and the weight of their steps.

After observing a few people, Woo Zhengyang concluded that the teenagers here were all at the peak of the Skin Stage, with some even reaching the Inner Stage.

It's not surprising that teenagers from some prominent villages reach the peak of the Skin Stage at this age, so it's expected that the Azure Sun Martial Mansion's youths could do the same.

What's strange is that, besides these teenagers, there was no sign of anyone else from the mansion.

As always, it was mysterious.

"Mr. Zhengyang!"

Woo Zhengyang, with nothing else to do, was about to continue his observations when he heard Rice's voice calling out.

"How did you get out?" Woo Zhengyang asked, puzzled.

"You can come out after an hour!" Rice giggled as she snuggled into Woo Zhengyang's arms, her body still a bit warm. It seemed the challenge in the gravity room had worn her out.

"Tired you out, huh?" Woo Zhengyang chuckled, ruffling Rice's hair.

"Yeah! Just walking in there was exhausting. Mr. Zhengyang, I'm so hungry!" Rice pouted.

Everyone in Great Leaf Village knew about Rice's appetite, and Woo Zhengyang was used to it. But at that moment, Rice's question caught him off guard.

For the past year, they hadn't been able to leave Azure Sun City. What were they going to eat?
