C487 Blood Sea Flower(2)
“Boom...”
The sound of an explosion echoed, as the light rain and mist were stirred by the clash between the two, creating a clear area. On one side of this space, Yuv Qingrong staggered back three steps, his face flushed red. He had been pushed back by a girl who looked only a few years old!
“How is this possible?” Several surprised voices rang out almost simultaneously. Some came from the Zhan brothers, while others were from the three members of the Moon Light Martial Mansion. The Zhan brothers' voices carried a hint of delight alongside their surprise, while the trio from the Moon Light Martial Mansion were filled with shock and fear.
“Woo Zhengyang is an oddball, but I never thought the little girl he always has with him would be even stranger. Wow... she's only about five or six! I've really seen it all now,” Zhan Yifei exclaimed in amazement.
“Enough chatter. I'll take two of the remaining three, you take one!” Zhan Yinuo ordered sharply, not forgetting Woo Zhengyang's instructions.
“No problem, the girl is mine!” Zhan Yifei replied with a sly grin, lunging toward the girl across from him.
Zhan Yinuo engaged the other two boys. Having just entered the Inner Stage, he handled the two at the Skin Stage with ease.
While the fight raged on one side, there was a brief lull between Woo Zhengyang and Yuv Qingrong. After Rice had pushed Yuv Qingrong back with a single strike, she returned to Woo Zhengyang's side. Yuv Qingrong, not rushing to retaliate, watched Woo Zhengyang and Rice with a look of disbelief.
"Are you really from some backwater place?" Yuv Qingrong asked.
"If you say so! You should stop now and leave, or you might regret it later," Woo Zhengyang replied, not wanting to escalate things to a deadly level.
"Fine, we'll leave right away!" Yuv Qingrong wasn't ready to give up. He figured no one wanted to waste their energy, even if they had the means to recover. What if they got unlucky and couldn't find their way out?
He couldn't have known that Woo Zhengyang had a little powerhouse, Rice, who didn't worry about running out of energy. Compromise wasn't an option for Woo Zhengyang.
"Then go ahead and make your move!" Woo Zhengyang said directly.
"You... you're that confident? I was just caught off guard earlier. And I doubt this little girl can keep it up," Yuv Qingrong retorted, still in disbelief that such a young girl could push him back. He was already at the Inner Stage, after all. He assumed it was a fluke or some special trick that couldn't be used repeatedly.
"Try and see!" Woo Zhengyang didn't waste words, tossing Rice into action once more.
The scene was much the same as before. Rice seemed to walk on air, wielding a spear taller than herself, and swung it down at Yuv Qingrong with all her might.
Once again, Yuv Qingrong chose to block, but this time with extreme caution. His sword shimmered with energy, clearly showing he was giving it his all.
"Bang..."
The sword and spear clashed, sending Rice flying back into Woo Zhengyang's arms. Yuv Qingrong didn't fare well either, coughing up dark blood.
"This can't be happening! How is she getting stronger? Is she at the Inner Stage too?" Yuv Qingrong was in disbelief. He hadn't retreated this time, yet he was the one injured.
Rice wasn't at the Inner Stage, but both she and Woo Zhengyang were using the Dragon Countering Nine Steps technique. It seemed similar to before, but in reality, Woo Zhengyang had taken a few quick steps before launching Rice.
When Rice was thrown, she carried the momentum Woo Zhengyang had built up. After a few more steps in the air, she completed a cycle of the nine steps, maximizing the technique's power, far surpassing a typical Inner Stage practitioner. Naturally, Yuv Qingrong couldn't withstand it.
Of course, Woo Zhengyang didn't bother explaining any of this. Holding Rice, he simply asked, "So, are we still going all out?"
Woo Zhengyang meant well, but to anyone listening, it sounded like pure sarcasm and disdain. Yuv Qingrong, enraged, spat out another mouthful of blood. How could he, a proud disciple of the Moon Light Martial Mansion, be mocked by a boy from the countryside?
"I refuse to believe I can't defeat a mere child!"
Wiping the blood from his mouth, Yuv Qingrong lost his temper completely. Losing to a five or six-year-old was even more infuriating than being scorned by Woo Zhengyang.
As Yuv Qingrong's anger peaked, his skin began to tremble. A faint, silvery light emerged around him, swirling and transforming into the shape of a crescent moon, enveloping him entirely. The crescent moon's glow stretched like a drawn bow, gathering all its energy onto his long sword, turning it into a deadly arrow...
