C491 A Peerless Beauty
"Woo, Woo, wake up!"
A sweet, trembling voice pulled Woo Zhengyang out of his unconscious state. As he opened his eyes, he was greeted by the sight of an extraordinary beauty crouched beside him, her face full of concern.
The woman, who called herself Yun'er, had skin as white as snow and features as delicate as a painting. Her long, dark hair swayed gently in the breeze, and her white dress seemed almost ethereal. Her hands were gracefully folded in front of her, and her legs, partially visible, left Woo Zhengyang momentarily entranced.
Woo had encountered many stunning women before. While Yun'er might not have been the most breathtaking—considering the unforgettable Nalan Yan'er or even the beauty of Bing'er and her sisters—Yun'er was undoubtedly the most captivating. Every smile, every movement, seemed to draw him in.
Her white dress, though complete, barely concealed the delicate undergarments beneath. The sight of her arms, shoulders, slender waist, and legs, all veiled by a thin layer of fabric, was unlike anything Woo had ever seen.
Seeing Woo lying on the ground in a daze, the extraordinary beauty reached out to help him up.
Woo Zhengyang jolted awake, quickly standing to dodge aside. He had indeed been momentarily captivated by the allure of the woman called Yun'er, but his true distraction was deep in thought. Amid his confusion, he realized where he was and knew better than to let this mysterious woman get too close.
After jumping into the Bewilderment Dragon Stream, the golden vortex within his core had stirred unexpectedly, catching Woo Zhengyang off guard. Since it had entered his body, the golden vortex only reacted under special circumstances, like when he was seriously injured or encountered unique martial techniques. Usually, no matter how much effort Woo Zhengyang put in, it was nearly impossible to provoke a reaction.
But this time, merely jumping into the Bewilderment Dragon Stream had triggered it. "Could jumping down here be dangerous?" Woo Zhengyang wondered to himself. But having already leaped, there was no turning back, danger or not. He had been falling for quite a while, surrounded by nothing but darkness and the howling wind.
Wait, that wasn't entirely true. Amid the wind's roar, Woo Zhengyang faintly heard desperate shouts. It wasn't hard to guess that the cries came from Liu Xiangdong and the others who had jumped ahead, especially Yu Xiaoshui, who had been kicked down and was screaming the loudest.
A moment passed.
Woo Zhengyang's body was still falling, and Bewilderment Dragon Stream seemed like a bottomless pit, making him increasingly uneasy. He had already decided that if anything felt off, he would quickly retreat into the Ice Crystal Fire Hall.
However, just as he was about to summon the Ice Crystal Fire Hall, he suddenly realized he couldn't harness his Soul Energy! This discovery sent a chill down his spine, but before the cold sweat could even form, it was dried by the fierce wind from his rapid descent.
The fall continued. Without the Ice Crystal Fire Hall, if he hit the ground, he would surely be reduced to nothing more than a smear. Woo Zhengyang began to examine the strange golden vortex, hoping to find some answers there. Unfortunately, the vortex only seemed to speed up slightly, offering no other effects.
Falling, still falling. No matter how hard Woo Zhengyang tried, he couldn't access his Soul Energy. Without it, he couldn't summon the Ice Crystal Fire Hall, which was a serious problem.
Suddenly, Woo Zhengyang felt his body lighten, as if he had passed through some sort of barrier. After crossing it, the once pitch-black world became bright. Yet, his body continued to plummet at a terrifying speed.
After his eyes adjusted, Woo Zhengyang finally saw his predicament clearly, though it did little to ease his mind. He had entered another world, a completely new one. The sun shone brightly overhead, the sky was a deep blue, seemingly cloudless. But wait, he soon realized it wasn't cloudless at all; in fact, there were plenty of clouds. The odd part was, these clouds were beneath his feet.
Woo Zhengyang had experienced various worlds before, each unique in its own way, always entering through some kind of portal. Yet, this time was different, and he had no desire to go through it. Being so high up, how could anyone survive a fall from this height?
He glanced down but saw no sign of Liu Xiangdong or the others. It seemed that upon entering this world, everyone had been randomly transported, and unfortunately, this random teleportation had left him in the sky.
Suddenly, a familiar feeling washed over him, as if he had seen this scene before. Yet, no matter how hard he tried to recall, he was certain he had never been here or experienced anything like this.
As he pondered, the clouds below grew closer. Woo Zhengyang had never seen clouds up close and had no idea what it would feel like to land on one. Finally, he landed on a fluffy white cloud. With a thud, he bounced up several yards high, only to fall back down again...
Are clouds in the sky supposed to be like this?
Woo Zhengyang was a bit bewildered. Even though he had never seen anything like it, something felt off.
In a flash, Woo Zhengyang found himself landing on another cloud. This time, he tried to slow his descent by controlling his energy, aiming to land steadily on the cloud.
Unexpectedly, as soon as Woo Zhengyang touched the cloud, he felt a powerful spring beneath his feet. This time, he was bounced even higher, soaring over a hundred feet into the air.
Not giving up, Woo Zhengyang tried a third time, making his body heavier to plummet quickly. This time, he wasn't bounced away because the cloud beneath him swiftly parted, creating a hole just big enough for him to pass through.
As he passed through, the cloud seemed to give him an extra push, causing him to fall even faster.
"This is just too much!" Woo Zhengyang felt a mix of frustration and helplessness.
Below him, layers upon layers of clouds stretched endlessly, with no end in sight.
"Thud..."
Woo Zhengyang was bounced off one cloud, caught by another, and then launched even higher with more force...
He finally understood why Zhan Yifei and Zhan Yinuo had repeatedly warned him not to use his energy recklessly until he was safely on the ground.
But it was too late; Woo Zhengyang had already lost control of the situation. He felt like a toy, being tossed around by fluffy white clouds. The more he resisted, the stronger the force pushing back against him...
