C495 Du Yusheng

Although Woo Zhengyang had anticipated it, he was still a bit frustrated by Situ Jingxiang's words and tone.

Judging by Situ Jingxiang's age, she was probably only seventeen or eighteen, yet she was already at the Tendon Bone Stage, earning the title of master. Meanwhile, Woo Zhengyang hadn't even reached the Inner Stage. The gap between them was truly significant.

"What level are the archers outside?"

"Based on my assessment, that lunatic is probably only at the mid-Inner Stage. However, with that golden longbow, his combat power is stronger than the usual peak of the Inner Stage. The main issue is that we can't get close. This is the Hundred Flower World, full of mysteries, and who knows if those golden arrows have other tricks. If I had the chance to get close, taking him down would be a breeze."

Woo Zhengyang chuckled wryly. This girl was certainly sharp-minded.

Whether it was Liu Xiangdong or the disciples from the Sea Heart Martial Palace chasing her, they all wielded longbows, which clearly weren't just for show. This was likely a rule of this world, and since such a rule was set, it wouldn't be easily broken.

However, there was still a chance for the two of them.

Liu Xiangdong, who was pursuing Woo Zhengyang, was only at the Skin Stage, and his silver bow and arrows seemed to be of a lower grade than the golden ones. If Woo Zhengyang and Situ Jingxiang teamed up, dealing with Liu Xiangdong wouldn't be an issue.

After sharing his thoughts with Situ Jingxiang, the impulsive girl immediately jumped up, urging Woo Zhengyang to take her to another entrance of the cave.

Woo Zhengyang naturally didn't refuse. He took out the luminous pearl and retraced his steps.

Unexpectedly, before they reached the opposite cave entrance, they encountered a man in a golden robe cautiously moving forward with a glowing stone in his hand.

Both parties were startled upon meeting.

Woo Zhengyang's expression shifted slightly, and Situ Jingxiang jumped up, rushing to the man to question him, "Wasn't there supposed to be someone with a silver bow guarding this entrance? How did you get in?"

As usual, before the man could respond, Situ Jingxiang continued, "Don't tell me you were also chased in here by someone with a bow."

The man paused, then smiled wryly, "Miss, you have quite the intuition."

"Intuition, my foot! What level is the person chasing you, and what color is their bow? And where is the one with the silver bow?" Situ Jingxiang was really getting anxious. Just when she saw a glimmer of hope, it was quickly dashed.

"The person chasing me is probably at the mid Inner Stage, wielding a golden bow. When I got nearby, suddenly another guy with a silver bow appeared. Together, they overpowered me. I fought back, but two against one..."

"Even if it wasn't two against one, you couldn't handle it! Get to the point."

"Y-yeah... you're right, miss. Just that one guy with the golden bow was almost too much for me. Luckily, I'm pretty quick on my feet and managed to shake off two of them, making it here."

"Shake off? Are you sure you shook them off and weren't just running for your life, hiding in this cave?"

The man's face turned a bit red as Situ Jingxiang called him out. He awkwardly replied, "Well, I put some distance between us, but they eventually caught up and are now guarding the entrance!"

Hearing this, Situ Jingxiang plopped down on the ground again.

Suddenly, another guy showed up, and Woo Zhengyang couldn't help but feel a mix of amusement and frustration. Now, any slim chance they had was gone. Behind them was someone with a golden bow, in front was another with a golden bow, and now Liu Xiangdong with a silver bow joined the mix.

The man quickly bounced back after Situ Jingxiang's sharp words. It wasn't until she sat down that he noticed Woo Zhengyang standing there. He glanced at Woo Zhengyang's clothes and then looked away, as many from the Martial Mansion did, dismissing those not from their ranks.

What surprised Woo Zhengyang was Situ Jingxiang's attitude. As an elite disciple of the Heavenly Mirror Pavilion, she didn't show much prejudice, perhaps because of her straightforward nature.

"I just realized you're from the Heavenly Mirror Pavilion. I'm Du Yusheng, a disciple of the Sea Heart Martial Palace. May I have the honor of knowing your name?"

"Now's not the time for formalities. I'm Situ Jingxiang, and he's Woo Zhengyang," Situ Jingxiang replied, clearly annoyed.

"Situ... Jingxiang? That's a nice name..." Du Yusheng's tone shifted slightly upon hearing her name, but he quickly returned to normal. As for Woo Zhengyang, even though his name was mentioned, it didn't seem to catch Du Yusheng's attention.

"Nice name or not, the real issue is how we get out of here. The way ahead is a no-go, so let's try this way!" Situ Jingxiang said, frustrated, as she turned around. Woo Zhengyang, understanding the danger of the path ahead, followed suit.

"This way? Is there really a way out over here?" Du Yusheng asked, puzzled, as he caught up with them.

"Yes, but there's someone with a golden bow over here. You might even know them," Situ Jingxiang's tone softened a bit, acknowledging that they were all in this predicament together. Plus, the person at the other entrance was someone she had inadvertently led there.

"I know them?" Du Yusheng asked, still confused about some details.

"You'll recognize them if you get a glimpse."

Returning to the previous entrance, Situ Jingxiang suggested hiding behind while Woo Zhengyang approached to scout the situation.

The results of their probing were disappointing. Even if Situ Jingxiang didn't get too close, the guy guarding the entrance could sense any movement. Whether it was Woo Zhengyang or Du Yusheng, as soon as they approached the entrance, golden arrows rained down like a storm.

"These guys must have some special way to sense our presence. It's really infuriating," Du Yusheng grumbled. Then, he quickly put on a warm, gentle smile and turned to Situ Jingxiang, "Miss Situ, do you have any good strategies?"

"If I had a good strategy, we wouldn't still be stuck here. But there are three of us. If we plan carefully, we might be able to deal with that lunatic outside," Situ Jingxiang replied.

"Miss Situ is absolutely right," Du Yusheng agreed, glancing at Woo Zhengyang and shaking his head slightly. Then, with a sudden spark of interest, he asked Woo Zhengyang, "Which Martial Mansion brought you here, and how did you end up in this place?"

Woo Zhengyang was used to the attitudes of these Martial Mansion disciples, but Du Yusheng's condescending manner still rubbed him the wrong way. Besides, the Sea Heart Martial Palace had nothing to do with him, and in this world, they could easily end up on opposite sides. Woo Zhengyang felt no need to defer to him.

However, this wasn't the time to dwell on such matters. Even though Woo Zhengyang was annoyed, he couldn't be bothered to argue. He simply looked away, keeping silent.
