C513 Divine Archer!
These women, just like this world, can heal themselves!
“How am I supposed to fight this?” Woo Zhengyang was dumbfounded.
Still, Woo Zhengyang wasn't one to give up easily. He continued shooting arrows wildly, without much aim.
This time, Woo Zhengyang tried to lessen the tension on his bowstring to see what would happen if the arrow didn't pierce through and stayed inside the woman's body.
After testing, Woo Zhengyang was out of ideas. The woman's body seemed like paper; with enough force, the arrow would pierce through, and with too little, it would bounce back. There was no way for the arrow to stay inside.
He was almost out of arrows, and Woo Zhengyang still hadn't hit the woman's vital point.
With only one arrow left, Woo Zhengyang slapped his forehead, looking frustrated.
He finally remembered he was wasting time when he had a little sharpshooter right in the Ice Crystal Fire Hall.
Quickly distancing himself from the woman, Woo Zhengyang put away his flying sword and took out the Ice Crystal Fire Hall, calling out Rice.
“Mr. Zhengyang, you finally remembered me! I thought you were going to forget about me,” Rice complained as soon as she appeared. But when she saw the world around her, sparkling like a crystal palace, she was amazed. “Wow... where is this? It's so beautiful...”
The woman was closing in fast, and time was running out. Woo Zhengyang had no time to explain. He quickly handed the bow and arrow to Rice and said, "We'll talk later. Aim for her forehead!"
Hearing that Woo Zhengyang wanted her to shoot a beautiful woman, Rice was momentarily stunned. However, she trusted Woo Zhengyang completely and didn't ask questions. She drew the bow.
"Whoosh..."
The arrow flew straight and hit the woman right in the forehead. Woo Zhengyang's face darkened, his resolve strengthening even more.
Soon, Woo Zhengyang realized something was off. The arrow Rice shot hadn't pierced the woman's forehead; it just stayed there.
What Woo Zhengyang had tried and failed to do many times, Rice accomplished.
After the arrow struck, the woman's expression remained calm, but she stopped moving and landed on the ground. Then, her body transformed into points of light and vanished into the air...
Woo Zhengyang's judgment was spot on.
Unfortunately, Woo Zhengyang's archery skills were terrible; otherwise, the problem would have been solved long ago.
Seeing the woman disappear, Woo Zhengyang breathed a sigh of relief. He had finally found a way to deal with these women, although it was a bit challenging for him.
At the same time, a bad feeling lingered in Woo Zhengyang's heart. The way the woman vanished was exactly the same as when he first entered this world and saw a woman named Yun'er disappear.
The attire was the same, and so was the way they vanished. The difference was that this woman seemed to lack consciousness, disappearing because she was struck in a vital spot. Yet, the woman who called herself Yun'er was just like any ordinary person. But would an ordinary person dissolve into light like that?
There was something else Woo Zhengyang hadn't had time to consider before, but now he had to think it over carefully. Why could he fly with a sword when others couldn't? When he first entered the Bewilderment Dragon Stream, he felt a strange sense of familiarity. Could it be that he had been here before and was somehow connected to this Hundred Flower World?
When Woo Zhengyang was just a baby, Uncle Fu brought him to the Lau family in Bright Sun City. Both his uncle, Lau Qinghan, and the former head of the Lau family, Lau Qingfeng, were aware of this, so it couldn't be a lie. Woo Zhengyang's memories were intact; he remembered clearly growing up with Uncle Fu and his rise to power. Yet, this was clearly not the world he originally lived in. Why was he connected to this Hundred Flower World? Could Yun'er have been mistaken?
"Brother, brother, where are we?" Rice had already climbed onto Woo Zhengyang out of habit, curiously looking around as she asked.
"I'm not entirely sure, but it seems like this is another small world within the Hundred Flower World, and everything here is made of spirit crystals. It's quite fascinating."
"Spirit crystals? Can you eat them?"
Ever since Rice saw the Qi Blood Crystal, she's been curious about all kinds of crystals. She even tried to eat a Heavenly Essence Stone, but it seems her special ability only works with the Qi Blood Crystal. So, she had to give up on the Heavenly Essence Stone. Now, seeing the spirit crystals, her interest is piqued again.
"I don't think you can eat them. Maybe you can try later, but for now, you need to head to the Ice Crystal Fire Hall."
"No! I want to stay here and play with you."
As soon as Woo Zhengyang suggested otherwise, Rice pouted, clearly unhappy.
"Be good, Rice. I'll let you out later."
Woo Zhengyang could fly with his sword, but Rice couldn't. To make the journey quicker, he had to be firm.
"You better not be lying! Just now, Huo'er told me that you might forget about me, and maybe when I'm all grown up, you'll finally remember that I'm still in here... She also said that by then, you might not even recognize me, and when I'm grown, I want to be your bride..."
Woo Zhengyang broke into a sweat and quickly promised, "No, no, that won't happen. In two days at most, I'll make sure you and Bing'er can come out."
"Hmph... alright then! But you have to give me a stone to eat!" Rice, as she was called, referred to the Qi Blood Crystal.
"No problem."
Woo Zhengyang readily agreed, but noticed that the little girl had been pretending to cry all along—there wasn't a single tear in her eyes. Clearly, she was faking it. She must have picked up this trick from Huo'er!
No wonder Huo'er, who usually loved to butt into conversations, had been so quiet when he was talking with Bing'er and the others. Not a peep from her.
He took a few Qi Blood Crystals from the Hidden Heaven Bag, which he kept just for Rice, handed them to her, and then said goodbye to Bing'er and the others before sending Rice back inside.
Hopping onto his flying sword, Woo Zhengyang started retracing his steps.
Before long, he encountered another woman. He called Rice out, easily resolved the situation, and then sent her back into the Ice Crystal Fire Hall. Woo Zhengyang continued on his way.
This time, Huo'er showed up and asked him, "Why do you always call Rice out? Wouldn't it be easier to just shoot an arrow yourself?"
Woo Zhengyang ignored her. She must have heard from Rice that his archery skills were terrible and was just teasing him.
As he sped along, the eight little tails were easily taken care of.
Woo Zhengyang began to follow the path that Situ Jingxiang had just taken, searching intently...
