C535 Seven Dragon Boats

"Woo Zhengyang? Are you really from a small village under the Azure Sun Martial Mansion?"

Yu Wenqing casually sat down cross-legged next to Woo Zhengyang, as if chatting with an old friend over tea. Despite the casual demeanor, his question was direct and hit right at the heart of the matter.

Woo Zhengyang hoped Yu Wenqing would be as easygoing as Situ Jingxiang. Yu Wenqing's manner and tone seemed to align with Woo Zhengyang's hopes, yet his straightforwardness caught Woo off guard.

Yu Wenqing's seemingly casual question had a probing edge. It was unclear whether this was intentional or not. After a brief pause, Woo Zhengyang nodded and chuckled lightly, "Yeah! A little village you’ve probably never even heard of."

When Yu Wenqing asked the question, Fong Zhiyuan, Yann Xinjue, and the others perked up, eager for the answer. Woo Zhengyang's response, however, didn’t satisfy their curiosity. Surprisingly, Yu Wenqing, who had asked the question, remained all smiles, showing no sign of dissatisfaction. He continued, "A battle record with soul attacks, a mysterious and extraordinary martial body technique, and at your age, you've already honed martial will and possess an innate spirit body with fire attributes... A small village producing a prodigy like you is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Truly, the world is full of wonders!"

Yu Wenqing sighed, still probing as he spoke, constantly watching Woo Zhengyang's facial expressions for any change.

Woo Zhengyang was speechless. The people from the Heavenly Mirror Pavilion were indeed unique, making their probing almost blatant. It was the first time he had encountered such directness without any awkwardness.

You could say he had ulterior motives, yet he made no effort to hide his thoughts. You could say he was straightforward, but his probing was so sharp that Woo Zhengyang found himself unsure of how to respond. He could only smile silently, waiting for what would come next.

However, Woo Zhengyang noticed a term Yu Wenqing mentioned: battle body techniques. He had vaguely heard this term during their earlier encounter, but he was too focused at the time. Hearing it again now made him ponder.

The battle body techniques Yu Wenqing referred to likely included "Dragon Countering Nine Steps," as well as Azure Sun Martial Mansion's "Ape Strike Technique" and "Raging Bull's Fury." These techniques were evidently distinct. Woo Zhengyang had spent considerable time contemplating them and had named them primary martial skills himself.

It seemed that in this world, such techniques were called battle body techniques. What made them so special? When he asked the four women, they had heard of battle body techniques but didn't know much about them. It appeared that the term had been around for a long time and was quite renowned. Woo Zhengyang couldn't ask Yu Wenqing for more details, so he would have to wait for another opportunity to understand it fully.

Seeing Woo Zhengyang remain silent, Yu Wenqing was about to speak when suddenly, there was some commotion in the direction of the Sea Heart Martial Palace.

"Look over there, something seems to be approaching..."

Everyone turned to where the person was pointing and indeed saw several dark figures on the horizon.

"Could it be a sea monster?" someone speculated, causing a wave of alarm among the group.

In this world, they were already under many constraints, and with only this platform to rely on, an attack by a sea monster would be a serious threat. The main concern was that many sea creatures were enormous, and if they destroyed the platform, the group would have nowhere to stand.

"Check the other directions..." someone suggested.

Even without the suggestion, many had already started looking around, except for Woo Zhengyang and Yu Wenqing, who remained seated, unmoving.

"Aren't you worried at all?" Yu Wenqing asked, puzzled.

"Aren't you the same?" Woo Zhengyang replied.

"I'm not worried because I'm at the Tendon Bone Stage, the highest level on this platform. If this platform is truly a test, there must be a way out. As long as there's a glimmer of hope, I believe it's mine!"

Yu Wenqing spoke with calm confidence, then looked at Woo Zhengyang expectantly, curious about his response. To his surprise, Woo Zhengyang had no intention of elaborating further.

Woo Zhengyang naturally didn't want to say much, as his reasons for not being in a hurry were hard to explain.

First, Woo Zhengyang was extremely confident. With his ability to fly and his possession of the Ice Crystal Fire Hall, he believed that if only one person could survive, it would undoubtedly be him, not Yu Wenqing. However, revealing this would expose too many secrets, and since Yu Wenqing was already probing Woo Zhengyang, there was no way he would reveal his own hand.

Second, there was an inexplicable sense of familiarity that made Woo Zhengyang feel that whatever was appearing wasn't all that dangerous, at least not to him. This was something he was even less likely to disclose.

"Why aren't you worried? Care to share your reasons?" Yu Wenqing pressed on, unwilling to let Woo Zhengyang off the hook.

Woo Zhengyang was embarrassed; this was really not playing by the rules!

Fortunately, another commotion arose, providing Woo Zhengyang with a timely distraction. The shadow they had seen was getting closer, and everyone could now see it wasn't some water beast. Instead, it was seven boats—seven dragon boats!

The seven dragon boats were each a different color: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, matching the colors of a rainbow and the light that had just shot into the sky. Even the distinctions between the boats mirrored the rainbow light from before, clearly indicating that the light had come from these dragon boats.

Apart from their colors, the seven dragon boats were identical in design, each embodying the majestic form of a soaring dragon. The dragon heads on the boats had slightly open mouths, as if ready to swallow the sky and earth, exuding an awe-inspiring presence. Their whiskers danced gracefully, giving an impression of elegance as they raced across the sea, resembling dragons riding the clouds.

As the seven dragon boats drew closer, every intricate detail became visible, yet the spectators had no mind to admire them. Each boat bore a flag with the bold inscription: "Seize the Dragon Flag, Board the Dragon Boat, Enter the Dragon Palace!" The nine characters were concise and clear, instantly understood by all present.

Some even felt relieved that the Moon Light Martial Mansion had provoked Woo Zhengyang from the start and was wiped out, otherwise the competition would have been fiercer. However, even now, there were eleven people present, but only seven dragon boats.
