C538 If I Make a Move I will Not Rest Until I Kill You

"You all can stop arguing. The stuff in there is mine! Even if you get your hands on it, it'll still end up being mine!" Woo Zhengyang's words left everyone stunned.

Even Yu Wenqing from the Heavenly Mirror Pavilion was taken aback. This guy was unbelievably arrogant!

He had already gone in once and grabbed a long whip, and now he wanted to go in again, right when Azure Sun Martial Mansion and Sea Heart Martial Palace were at a standstill.

Like the saying goes, "When two dogs fight for a bone, a third runs away with it." The conflict between Azure Sun Martial Mansion and Sea Heart Martial Palace was advantageous for both Woo Zhengyang and Yu Wenqing.

But instead of playing the waiting game, Woo Zhengyang jumped right in. Wasn't he worried that the two martial mansions would team up against him?

More importantly, wasn't he afraid of making enemies with all three martial mansions and having nowhere to stand once he left?

Or maybe the long whip he got was an incredibly powerful artifact, which is why he was so determined to get the treasure inside?

While everyone was puzzled, Woo Zhengyang waved the crimson long whip in his hand and said, "Can't help it. Whatever I find in the next dragon palace is mine."

It was a blatant challenge!

Woo Zhengyang's arrogance was getting out of hand. Yann Xinjue and Fong Zhiyuan couldn't afford to keep bickering. They each gripped their weapons, ready to act, and kept a wary eye on Woo Zhengyang.

"Woo Zhengyang, I know you're powerful, but don't you think you're being a bit too greedy?" Fong Zhiyuan was the first to speak up.

"Exactly, we're all here for the opportunity, but you want to hog it all to yourself. Do you think Sea Heart Martial Palace and Azure Sun Martial Mansion are easy to bully? Even if your combat skills surpass ours, don't forget about Mr. Yu behind you!" Yann Xinjue shifted the focus to Yu Wenqing.

Yu Wenqing, though still seated calmly in the dragon boat, looked a bit displeased. Woo Zhengyang's first statement was arrogant, but that's just the way of the world—survival of the fittest. However, his second remark, claiming everything for himself, was a blatant disregard for others.

So when Yann Xinjue brought him into the conversation, Yu Wenqing didn't object. He wanted to see how Woo Zhengyang would respond. Little did they know, Woo Zhengyang was more frustrated than any of them.

Throughout the journey, Woo Zhengyang had been studying the long whip but couldn't make sense of it. Yet, as their dragon boat neared the thatched cottage, a message from the whip entered his mind. It clearly stated that the red substance on the whip was the blood of a vengeful dragon. Because of this, anyone who touched it would be cursed with a dragon's curse!

In ancient lore, the term "dragon" doesn't refer to a family lineage but rather to a species. Woo Zhengyang once read an old manuscript that mentioned dragons. Described as having the body of a serpent, the head of a bear, eyes of a crocodile, antlers of a deer, nose of a bull, teeth of a dog, whiskers of a catfish, mane of a lion, and claws of an eagle, the dragon is a creature of imagination, not a literal combination of these animals.

In ancient times, dragons were considered sacred beasts, the ancestors of all creatures. Opposite them were the phoenixes, the ancestors of all birds. The power of these two species was comparable to gods and demons, but their numbers were so few that they eventually faded into the mists of time. Despite their extinction, their strength was undeniable. Woo Zhengyang never expected his first encounter with the legendary dragon to involve being cursed by their vengeful spirit.

Breaking this curse is straightforward: he must collect all the items from the dragon palaces he encounters along his journey. However, he cannot speak of the curse, or his dragon boat will shatter, plunging him into the ocean depths. The curse itself is even more sinister. If not broken, it will forever prevent him from fulfilling his destiny...

It might just be a prank by the creator of this world, but what's real seems fake, and what's fake seems real. The creator's intentions are impossible to guess, and Woo Zhengyang isn't willing to risk his important mission on a gamble.

So, once Woo Zhengyang figured it all out, he realized he had been set up and was now standing against the other six. Despite feeling bitter, he knew he had to move forward. Faced with Fong Zhiyuan and Yann Xinjue's skepticism and Yu Wenqing's silence, Woo Zhengyang said nothing and headed straight for the hut known as the Dragon Palace.

Fong Zhiyuan and Yann Xinjue were on high alert, yet neither wanted to make the first move. Woo Zhengyang's rapid rise on the previous platform had left everyone in awe. His strength was overwhelming, and even if Fong Zhiyuan and Yann Xinjue teamed up with the other three from the Martial Mansion, victory wasn't guaranteed. The biggest issue was that they couldn't gauge Woo Zhengyang's limits.

In the recent battle, while others were left speechless, Woo Zhengyang seemed unfazed. No one knew if he had more tricks up his sleeve, and confronting him without all the facts would be unwise.

As the two hesitated, Woo Zhengyang was already among them. They both looked to Yu Wenqing, only to find him back to his usual indifferent self, as if nothing concerned him.

Yann Xinjue gritted his teeth and said, "Woo, if you're trying to snatch victory from us, we'll accept it. But just walking away like this is too humiliating. How about this: Fong and I will team up and challenge you to a single move. What do you say?"

"I agree!" Fong Zhiyuan chimed in right after Yann finished speaking.

Everyone present understood Yann's intentions. He wasn't sure how powerful Woo Zhengyang truly was and didn't want to risk a direct confrontation. Yet, he was unwilling to concede without a fight, so he devised this way to test the waters.

By teaming up with Fong Zhiyuan for one move, they could gauge Woo Zhengyang's strength. If Woo was as formidable as they feared, they'd have to admit defeat. But if he wasn't as strong as they imagined, would he still dare to be so arrogant after just one move? Would he even have the right to be?

Hearing Yann's plan, Fong quickly agreed, and even Yu Wenqing showed interest. He was also curious about Woo Zhengyang's capabilities and wanted to see more.

However, no one anticipated that Woo's arrogance wasn't about whether he could handle a single move, but whether he would even entertain the challenge.

"If I make a move, it's all or nothing. There's no such thing as just one move!" Woo Zhengyang declared.
