C545 Idiot!
"Is there really someone like the Bow Man? That's the reason he gave you? Were the creators of your world gods?" Woo Zhengyang chuckled softly at their skepticism.
"Even if you're not like the Bow Man, there's definitely something off about you. The things you got from the previous chambers must be connected to this place. You're probably trying to keep the opportunity all to yourself, which is why you're hiding things. Otherwise, we would have found an exit by now," Yann Xinjue added.
"Your argument sounds convincing, but unfortunately, it's still wrong."
Woo Zhengyang had considered this possibility and had tried using the long whip multiple times, but it was no use. He hadn't received any hints.
"Right or wrong isn't for you to decide. Hand over what you took from the chambers, and we might let you walk away in one piece!" Yann Xinjue said bluntly.
Earlier, in the cabin, Yann Xinjue and Fong Zhiyuan had struggled for a long time, only for Woo Zhengyang to take the prize and silence them with a single remark, leaving them humiliated. It was impossible not to hold a grudge.
Now, with Yu Wenqing by his side, Yann Xinjue was eager to dish out some humiliation of his own.
"The stuff's right here. Come and get it!" Woo Zhengyang said, patting the crimson whip at his waist.
This wasn't the time to be on the dragon boat, so Woo Zhengyang could have explained everything. But what would be the point? Yu Wenqing and the others wouldn't believe him anyway, so he decided not to waste his breath.
"Even now, you're still so arrogant! Fine, let's see how long you can keep it up," Yann Xinjue fumed, not daring to confront him directly.
"Yann, don't take it to heart. This guy must have some other reason for being so strong. Once we subdue him, we'll uncover the truth and find a way out of here," Yu Wenqing chimed in, trying to save face for Yann while keeping everyone suspicious of Woo Zhengyang.
"The truth? Didn't you say we couldn't find a way out because there were too many people here? You even suggested teaming up to take them all out, saying that would reveal the exit. Now that I'm not teaming up with you, you're siding with them against me?" Woo Zhengyang retorted, spinning his tale casually.
"Stop making things up! When did I ever say I wanted to team up with you to kill them?"
"Then what did you mean by saying there were too many people?"
"I..." Yu Wenqing was at a loss for words.
Yu Wenqing might be able to fool others, but Woo Zhengyang could play the game too. He didn't expect anyone to switch sides; he just wanted to stir things up a bit.
Sure enough, as soon as Woo Zhengyang spoke, subtle changes appeared on the faces of Fong Zhiyuan and the others. Whether Woo Zhengyang was telling the truth or not, the issue of too many people was a real concern.
If they all teamed up against Woo Zhengyang and he ended up dead with no clues on him, what if there was still no exit?
Yu Wenqing's target would undoubtedly be on others—there's no question about it! With Woo Zhengyang around, if they joined forces, they might stand a chance. Without Woo Zhengyang, Yu Wenqing would be unbeatable!
The atmosphere shifted, and Fong Zhiyuan and his group's resolve wavered.
"Don't listen to his nonsense. The key clue is definitely with him; he's just trying to sow discord among us!" Yu Wenqing, noticing the change in Fong Zhiyuan's group, explained, losing his earlier calm.
But no matter how he explained, Woo Zhengyang's words had already taken root in their minds. Their cooperation would inevitably be affected, and when dealing with Woo Zhengyang, Fong Zhiyuan and the others would be wary of Yu Wenqing.
Of course, at this point, Fong Zhiyuan's group couldn't back down. No one could predict what would happen after dealing with Woo Zhengyang, but backing down now would offend Yu Wenqing.
Yann Xinjue was the first to see the key point and smiled at Yu Wenqing, "You're right, Yu. This guy's just lashing out before the end."
"Exactly, the more anxious he is, the more it shows he's got something to hide!" Fong Zhiyuan added.
"It's good to see you two aren't fooled!"
Whether sincere or not, the attitudes of Yann Xinjue and Fong Zhiyuan greatly pleased Yu Wenqing. To show his sincerity, Yu Wenqing brought out a golden armor spear, its golden light shining as the armor appeared on him.
"Everyone, gather around slowly. No need to worry. As long as he tries to fly away, just hold him off for a few moments," Yu Wenqing commanded, pointing his spear in Woo Zhengyang's direction.
"Got it! We won't let him escape."
Yann Xinjue and the others agreed, cautiously closing in on Woo Zhengyang with their weapons ready. They were extremely careful, clearly having planned ahead. They divided the area based on their skills, ensuring that no matter which way Woo Zhengyang tried to flee, two of them could reach him quickly.
Observing their cautious approach, Woo Zhengyang smirked with disdain. "Escape? Do I need to escape? I told you, I don't want to fight. I just don't want to waste my energy."
"Even now, you're still so arrogant. You're the most conceited person I've ever met!" Yu Wenqing sneered, dismissing Woo Zhengyang's words. If he truly had the power to challenge them, would he have chosen to run away before? He couldn't even face him alone, so how could he handle being surrounded by so many?
"This guy is just putting on a show," Yann Xinjue added. "I always wondered why his combat power was so high despite being at the Inner Stage. Then it hit me—he must have an Innate Spirit Body with a fire attribute, which perfectly counters the Moon Light Martial Mansion's poison. Sun Siyu was caught off guard, which is why he succeeded."
"Since you've figured it out, why didn't you have the courage to confront me back at the cabin?"
"I..."
Yann Xinjue was at a loss for words. He had indeed come to some conclusions, but they were just guesses. Woo Zhengyang had repeatedly astonished everyone, and who could say what other tricks he might have up his sleeve?
"What are you trying to say? As a martial artist, if you lack the courage to face someone with even less skill than you, your path in martial arts won't take you far," Woo Zhengyang criticized sharply, his tone stern, like a teacher reprimanding a student.
"You... I have my own ideas and don't need your guidance!"
Yann Xinjue was fuming. He had only been stalling, watching Woo Zhengyang stand there talking, to buy time for himself and the others to get closer. Little did he expect Woo Zhengyang to have such a sharp tongue, leaving him seething with anger.
Looking over at Fong Zhiyuan, his face was also flushed. Woo Zhengyang's reprimand of Yann Xinjue had indirectly included him as well. Back at the cabin, he too hadn't dared to make a move against Woo Zhengyang.
