C586 What Is This Guy Trying to Do?

After kicking several Heavenly Mirror Pavilion disciples out of the way, Lee Yuanye still wasn't satisfied. He continued to rant, "Complaining, complaining—what's the point? Mr. Zhengyang is toughening you up. If you can't handle this, how do you expect to reach the pinnacle of martial arts?"

"As for Zheng Xiaoye, he must have made an unforgivable mistake. Otherwise, why would Mr. Zhengyang take action against him?"

Then, Lee Yuanye turned to the three heads of the Martial Mansion and said, "See? I told you Mr. Zhengyang is a man of his word. He brought these kids back safe and sound. Now that you've got your people, you can head back. I'm sure you're pleased with how I handled things."

The three heads of the Martial Mansion, who had been on edge from the start, felt a wave of relief wash over them. They quickly took their leave, flying off on their swords.

Having wrapped things up, Lee Yuanye approached Woo Zhengyang with a cheeky grin and said in a low, ingratiating voice, "Mr. Zhengyang, about our little arrangement—can we discuss it?"

"Our situation?" Woo Zhengyang was momentarily confused when he first heard it. After thinking for a moment, he realized the deep-seated grudge between himself and Lee Yuanye. No matter how he clashed with other young men in the Misty Mountain Range or the Hundred Flower World, those were just the nature of things. Even if it was a case of the strong bullying the weak or many against one, Woo Zhengyang didn't mind too much because that's just how the world worked.

But Lee Yuanye had set his sights on Bing'er and the others, and for Woo Zhengyang, dealing with him was a personal vendetta. When his actions affected those around him, it crossed a line that should never be crossed.

Lee Yuanye crossed that line. Even though there were no irreversible casualties in the end, it was still a breach.

Woo Zhengyang could never tolerate someone like that. Unfortunately, his strength was more of a bluff. Outside of the Star World and the Misty Mountain Range, he was just an Inner Stage practitioner, not even a match for the disciples of the Heavenly Mirror Pavilion, let alone someone like Lee Yuanye at the Martial King Stage.

So, Woo Zhengyang could only keep this grudge in mind.

This kind of thing wasn't unusual. Similar events could have happened in the past, might happen in the future, or could be happening elsewhere right now.

The real issue was that Lee Yuanye was just too unpredictable. For someone of his stature, a Martial King, he could be shameless and obsequious to the point where Woo Zhengyang almost forgot about the whole matter.

Until Woo Zhengyang brought it up, Lee Yuanye had almost forgotten. About two weeks ago, on a whim, he had told Lee that if he could bring him 200 rare treasures, their feud would be settled.

"What? Did you actually bring those 200 treasures?" Woo Zhengyang asked.

Lee Yuanye's face fell, looking like he was about to cry. "Brother, you asked for so many treasures at once. I really can't get them all..."

"In that case, there's nothing more to discuss!" Woo Zhengyang said, turning to leave. He knew his own situation well; without the strength to rival a Martial King, it was best to stay out of trouble. Even the Misty Mountain Range wasn't completely safe.

"Wait... Brother, can I trade something else instead?" Lee Yuanye hurried forward, looking like a wronged child, trying to tug on Woo Zhengyang's sleeve to stop him.

But Woo Zhengyang wasn't about to let him get close. No matter how much Lee Yuanye groveled or flattered, Woo Zhengyang remembered he was a powerful Martial King and an enemy. If Lee decided to attack, Woo Zhengyang wouldn't stand a chance at close range.

To prevent that, Woo Zhengyang had just barely stepped out of the mist's edge. Seeing Lee Yuanye approach, he silently retreated a few steps, half his body disappearing back into the mist.

"Oh man... Brother, you're really cautious. It's my bad for being so forward, I apologize. But I mean no harm; I have an urgent matter to discuss," Lee Yuanye said with an innocent look.

Woo Zhengyang was noncommittal. It was possible that Lee had something important to say, but there was no doubt that if he got too close, he would definitely make a move. Woo Zhengyang wouldn't waste such an opportunity either.

Moreover, the treasures that had been sent over were almost too good to be true. Woo Zhengyang was already a bit skeptical, and now he was even more suspicious that this guy might be planning to lure him into a false sense of security before taking revenge.

"Since you have something important to discuss, please come in, Young Master Yuanye," Woo Zhengyang said with a smile, controlling the Misty Mountain Range behind him to open a small path. Outside, Woo Zhengyang might seem weak, but once inside the Misty Mountain Range, it was his domain.

Seeing Woo Zhengyang's actions, Lee Yuanye's expression changed slightly, but he quickly recovered and chuckled, "Brother, you don't trust me, huh? But... no worries, I trust you. Lee Yuanye's actions startled the young members of the Heavenly Mirror Pavilion, who quickly tried to stop him. They had suffered enough in the Hundred Flower World and couldn't just watch Lee Yuanye walk into the lion's den.

Hearing their pleas, Lee Yuanye paused, turned around, and scolded them, "Ignorant fools! Didn't I tell you? The hardships you faced were part of a training I arranged. But if you keep babbling, I'll forget about you entirely. Just head back for now. I'm going to hang out with my brother for a few days before returning."

With that, Lee Yuanye ignored the others and stepped into the passage Woo Zhengyang had opened for him...

Even Woo Zhengyang was taken aback by this scene. He had assumed Lee Yuanye was just putting on a show or had some ulterior motive. He never expected the guy to actually enter the misty passage.

What on earth is he planning?
