C613 Eighty Percent Chance of Three Chapters in a Row
"You woman..."
Even after being scolded again, Woo Zhengyang remained persistent, but the Black-robed Holy Nun ignored him and looked directly at him.
"Young Master Woo, just tell me, what exactly do you want? If it's something I can do, I will. If not, I'll fight to the end!"
"We do need to borrow your sacred artifact," Woo Zhengyang said helplessly.
"So, you're not planning to resolve this peacefully?"
"Don't rush; we can negotiate."
"There's nothing to negotiate. We absolutely cannot give you our sacred artifact!"
"Is that so? You might change your mind after hearing what I have to say," Woo Zhengyang replied with a smile.
With that, Woo Zhengyang whispered something.
Sure enough, after hearing Woo Zhengyang's words, the Black-robed Holy Nun was silent for a long time. After what felt like half an hour, she finally spoke again, "Please, come to my Moon Palace for a discussion."
With that, the Black-robed Holy Nun leapt up and returned to the large moon above.
"Wow, big brother, you really are a master at charming people. What did you say to make this feminist change her mind?"
"What do you mean, a master at charming people? I just told her our purpose."
"You told her now? While having an ally is nice, isn't it a bit early to reveal our plans? What if it ruins everything?"
"It shouldn't. Besides, you saw it yourself; she wouldn't compromise without knowing the truth."
"What can they do if we don't compromise? With Yun'er on our side, we'll knock their teeth out. Let's see who dares to defy us!"
"Alright, let's head up!"
Woo Zhengyang wanted to be straightforward, but he had his reasons for restraint. Although Yun'er was as powerful as a Martial Emperor, Woo Zhengyang never regarded her as part of his combat strength. She couldn't leave Star World, and he didn't want her getting hurt because of him again.
Just moments ago, Woo Zhengyang thought the plan had failed. However, a remark from the Black-robed Holy Nun sparked an idea. The sacred artifact of the Moon Light Martial Mansion had the power of a spiritual treasure, which meant Yun'er could come out.
That's why Woo Zhengyang decided to stay. Yet, he hadn't forgotten that Yun'er had just recovered. If the Black-robed Holy Nun fought desperately, Yun'er might withstand it, but she could get hurt again.
So, Woo Zhengyang planned to involve the Black-robed Holy Nun in the plan. With her skills, she might be able to help. As expected, the Black-robed Holy Nun was very interested in leaving this sealed world. Despite reaching the Sovereign level, she was shackled by an unbreakable chain. To gain freedom, she needed to find a third spiritual treasure or break free from this world's constraints and leave!
Woo Zhengyang stowed away his unbeatable chariot, and the group took to the skies on their swords. Typically, flying higher on a sword becomes more challenging, and at a certain point, it's impossible to ascend further. However, in the Moon Light Martial Mansion, the higher they flew, the easier it felt. It was undoubtedly due to that massive moon.
As they approached the moon, a series of palaces appeared before them. Unlike ordinary palaces, these were connected to the moon, as if a master craftsman had carved them directly onto its surface. Landing on the moon felt like being in an ocean world; everything was upside down, yet they were completely unaware of it.
Among the dozen or so palaces, one stood out as the largest, with a sign reading "Moon Palace" in elegant yet commanding script, perfectly matching the demeanor of the Black-robed Holy Nun.
"How unrefined! It should be called the 'Guanghan Palace' instead," Woo Zhengyang remarked, critiquing the palace.
"Alright, we're going to be working together, so keep your comments to yourself," someone retorted, clearly annoyed. This guy's sharp tongue could irritate anyone.
"Don't worry, I'll behave. I won't provoke the big lady in black before we leave. Besides, I can't beat her right now anyway..."
As they chatted, they entered the Moon Palace.
Black. Everything was black.
Woo Zhengyang never imagined that the Moon Palace, which looked so beautiful from the outside, would be entirely devoid of color inside. Everything was black, including the Black-robed Holy Nun seated in front of them.
"Damn, this is..." Lee Yuanye started to speak but was silenced by a fierce glare from Huo'er.
"Please, have a seat," the Black-robed Holy Nun said, trying to soften her tone, though it still carried a chill.
Woo Zhengyang and the others understood this was just her nature, something that wouldn't change quickly, so they didn't mind and took their seats.
"Young Master Woo, you mentioned you want to leave this world?"
"That's right!"
"May I ask, do you know how to leave? And what use do you have for our sacred artifact?"
"The Human Ancestral Land!"
"The Human Ancestral Land? Are you aware of how dangerous it is there? Plus, before you can enter, you must first pass through the Myriad Desolate Mountain!"
"That's why we need your sacred artifact. Only with it can we traverse the Myriad Desolate Mountain."
"Why do you say that? I wasn't aware our sacred artifact had any special ability to cross the Myriad Desolate Mountain."
"Your sacred artifact doesn't, but my super invincible cannon car does!" Lee Yuanye finally couldn't hold back and spoke up.
"Invincible cannon car?"
The Black-robed Holy Nun, now intrigued, didn't dwell on his earlier outburst and asked curiously.
"Isn't it that legendary artifact you guys from the Moon Light Martial Mansion blew to smithereens?" Lee Yuanye started to digress again, earning a glare from Woo Zhengyang.
"Hmph!" The Black-robed Holy Nun admitted grudgingly, "That artifact is indeed powerful. If it weren't damaged, it might have helped us cross the Myriad Desolate Mountain!"
"The artifact is fine, but it consumes a tremendous amount of energy. Top-grade spirit crystals alone aren't enough, and this guy here says your sacred object might provide the energy we need," Lee Yuanye pointed out.
"I get what you're saying. I agree!"
"Agree?" The Black-robed Holy Nun's straightforward agreement left Woo Zhengyang a bit incredulous.
"What?"
"Aren't you worried if our method is really viable?" Woo Zhengyang asked, puzzled.
Normally, anyone would question such a proposal, given the perilous nature of the Human Ancestral Land. It's a place where you might never return from. Yet, the Black-robed Holy Nun, fully aware of the dangers, didn't doubt Woo Zhengyang and Lee Yuanye's information at all, which was unusual.
"Since you've already started taking action, it shows you have confidence. At the very least, there's hope, or you wouldn't be taking this gamble!"
After a pause, the Black-robed Holy Nun continued, "Besides, I'm about eighty percent sure there's a chance to get out of the Human Ancestral Land!"
"What did you say?"
"Are you sure there's an eighty percent chance we can get out of the Human Ancestral Land?"
Lee Yuanye and Woo Zhengyang suddenly stood up, their faces full of disbelief...
