C617 Beast Tide Two Chapters in a Row

The Invincible Cannon Car is terrifying! Yet, Woo Zhengyang knows that the real terror lies in Lee Yuanye, the mastermind behind its creation. If the power of just one Invincible Cannon Car is already so formidable, imagine ten, a hundred, or even thousands of them.

In today's world, there are many limitations, and perhaps Lee Yuanye can't fully unleash his potential. But what if they could return to their previous world? Picture a swarm of Invincible Cannon Cars rolling in like a dark cloud—it would be a truly spectacular sight!

During casual conversations aboard the Sky Traveler, Lee Yuanye mentioned that if conditions allowed, he could create even more bizarre and powerful inventions. These could fly through the sky or even venture into space, surpassing the might of the Invincible Cannon Car.

In the past, Woo Zhengyang might have dismissed such claims. But now, with the Invincible Cannon Car wreaking havoc before his eyes, how could he not believe? So far, only two people have left Woo Zhengyang perplexed: Moh Lunhui, who claims to be the reincarnated Emperor of Reincarnation, and Lee Yuanye.

The Invincible Cannon Car is immensely powerful, but it has one drawback—its speed. Especially in the rugged terrain of the Myriad Desolate Mountain, where paths are carved out by cannon fire, the rocky and uneven ground adds to the challenge. Occasionally, demonic beasts also emerge, causing further delays.

At first, everything was manageable. Even when they encountered a dip in the terrain or a cliff, they could simply pack up the Invincible Cannon Car, fly over with their swords, and set it up again on the other side. However, as they ventured further, the demonic beasts became more powerful and cunning, making it increasingly dangerous. Even Lee Yuanye, with his Martial King-level skills, was hesitant to leave the safety of the Invincible Cannon Car.

When they faced another deep ravine, the Invincible Cannon Car had no choice but to take a detour. After a full day, they had only advanced a few miles. The next day proved even more perilous as flying demonic beasts appeared. These creatures often traveled in large flocks, and while individually they weren't very strong, their sheer numbers posed a significant threat. According to Lee Yuanye, if the Invincible Cannon Car's shield failed, they would be devoured in an instant, leaving no trace behind.

That very day, the Invincible Cannon Car faced its first wave of beast attacks. The ground was swarming with countless demonic beasts, charging at them like a frenzied army, while the sky was filled with flying creatures, blocking out the sun. "Holy cow, is this an invasion of monsters?" Lee Yuanye shouted, frantically turning all the cannons to fight back.

The Invincible Cannon Car was incredibly powerful, but it couldn't handle the overwhelming number of demonic beasts. Occasionally, some would break through to the protective barrier, an area the cannon couldn't reach. In these instances, Woo Zhengyang and the four women, including Bing'er, had to step in.

The beasts in this region were formidable, but thanks to the barrier, Woo Zhengyang and the others didn't have to worry about their safety and could focus solely on attacking. Even so, after several hours, they were exhausted.

Seeing this, Lee Yuanye swapped places with Woo Zhengyang. Lee had previously taught Woo how to operate the Invincible Cannon Car just in case. The car's structure was complex, but the controls were manageable, so Woo quickly got the hang of it and was now putting it to use.

As a Martial King expert with a wide array of skills, Lee's involvement significantly eased the pressure on Bing'er and the others. Before long, a large portion of the surrounding demonic beasts were either dead or injured.

Noticing the change, Woo Zhengyang called Bing'er over and quickly taught her how to operate the Invincible Cannon Car. Once she learned, they switched places, allowing Bing'er to get accustomed to it before passing the knowledge on to Jing'er and the others.

In this way, the group could take turns operating the Invincible Cannon Car, allowing them to catch their breath. For three consecutive days, demonic beasts charged at them relentlessly. Even with Woo Zhengyang and his companions taking shifts to rest, they were nearly overwhelmed.

Eventually, they had no choice but to let the beasts surround their protective shield, relying solely on the Invincible Cannon Car's defenses to hold out. Initially, when Lee Yuanye mentioned that the demonic beasts of the Myriad Desolate Mountain were incredibly powerful, even capable of defeating a Martial King, Woo Zhengyang was skeptical. Now, he had no doubts. The sheer frequency of the attacks could exhaust even the strongest of warriors.

After three days, the relentless assault finally ceased. During the beast tide, they hadn't noticed much, but once it subsided, they realized they were surrounded by piles of corpses and rivers of blood. The base of the Invincible Cannon Car was submerged in a pool of blood. This was despite many of the beasts being blasted to dust by the cannon; otherwise, the entire vehicle might have been buried.

"Man, these beasts are insane! They're trying to wear us out!" Lee Yuanye exclaimed, collapsing onto the ground with a constant stream of complaints.

"Sir, this beast tide is truly unusual, almost as if something is controlling them," Bing'er added.

"I'm afraid that's the case. But the more it is, the more it proves our choice was right," Woo Zhengyang said as he approached the control panel of the Invincible Cannon Car, starting it up to continue their advance.

Thanks to the golden vortex, Woo Zhengyang's recovery speed was far beyond that of an average person, making him the one in the best condition among the group.

After the frenzy came calm, an unusual calm. It was as if all the demonic beasts had vanished; they hadn't encountered a single one along the way.

Three more days passed, and still no demonic beasts blocked their path. The Invincible Cannon Car shattered the last towering mountain, revealing a peculiar landscape.

The Myriad Desolate Mountain was just a name; no one knew how many mountains were truly there. It was said to be nothing but barren peaks. Yet, the scene before them defied this notion.

Amidst the surrounding mountains lay a flat plain, dotted with ancient buildings encircling a small, shimmering lake. The area was serene and peaceful, exuding an old-world charm.

Even more remarkable was how the ever-present cleansing rain seemed to avoid this region, setting it apart from the Myriad Desolate Mountain.

"Could this be the Human Ancestral Land?" Li'er wondered aloud, surprised.

"It can't be that simple!" Huo'er replied.

"Let's go in and take a look," Lee Yuanye said, steering the Invincible Cannon Car forward.

Woo Zhengyang wanted to stop Lee Yuanye but ultimately held back. He didn't want the Invincible Cannon Car to disrupt the tranquility here, yet he couldn't guarantee that behind this calm facade, there wasn't a lurking danger.
