"This thing is quite interesting. Is it a magical artifact you crafted?" the middle-aged man asked, glancing at the group.

"Sort of! May I ask, sir, are you from the Great Desolate Ancient Clan?" Lee Yuanye replied with a formal bow.

"After all these years, I didn't expect anyone to remember us. What are you doing here? You should head back!"

"Sir, we wish to visit the Human Ancestral Land," Woo Zhengyang said, also bowing.

"The Human Ancestral Land is gone. You should return!"

"Gone? How is it gone?" Lee Yuanye pressed.

"I said it's gone, so it's gone," the middle-aged man replied irritably.

"Ah, my fiery temper..." Lee Yuanye said, rolling up his sleeves as he approached the control panel of the Invincible Cannon Car.

Everyone thought he was about to fire, and Woo Zhengyang was ready to stop him, but then he continued, "Since it's gone, sir, you should step aside. We're ready to head back."

Woo Zhengyang was speechless; this guy could really change his tune. But knowing Lee Yuanye as well as he did, Woo quickly figured out what was going on in his mind.

The middle-aged man was also taken aback by Lee Yuanye's strange behavior. After a moment, he said, "You kids, don't try any tricks on me. You think you can sneak past here? Let me tell you, there's no way around."

Woo Zhengyang had guessed Lee Yuanye's intentions, and it seemed the man had too, as he spoke directly.

At this, Lee Yuanye dropped the act, adopting a fawning tone. "You're truly wise, sir. I admire you. But why stop us? Even if the Human Ancestral Land is gone, there must be some ruins left. We just want to take a look."

"What's so interesting about some ruins?" the middle-aged man replied grumpily.

"Sir, with all due respect, as members of the Human Clan, if we can't see the Human Ancestral Land in our lifetime, wouldn't it be a wasted life?"

"A wasted life is a wasted life. What does that have to do with me? I said you can't go, and that's final!"

"Sir, is it really wise to be so stubborn? We respect you as an elder, but don't think we're afraid of you. If we really want to go through, you might not be able to stop us!" Lee Yuanye said, aiming all the cannons skyward.

All the cannons fired simultaneously, turning the sky a blinding white, with deafening sounds echoing all around.

"The power of your artifact is indeed extraordinary, but brute force alone won't get you anywhere. You should head back," the middle-aged man advised Woo Zhengyang and his group, his tone indifferent.

Lee Yuanye was about to speak, but Woo Zhengyang signaled him to hold back. Woo Zhengyang then bowed again and said, "We understand you mean well and are considering our best interests, but forgive us for not grasping your intentions. We hope you can enlighten us."

"There's nothing to explain. Just go back when I tell you to!" the middle-aged man replied impatiently.

"Oh, come on! I can't hold back my temper any longer. We show you respect, and you act like this? You're just carrying a mountain on your back. I refuse to believe you're that powerful. You think you can just send us away like that?" Lee Yuanye erupted, and Woo Zhengyang didn't stop him.

Having come this far, they couldn't just turn back because of a few words from the middle-aged man. Lee Yuanye's outburst was perfectly timed; if it could get the man to explain himself, great. If not, they'd have to force their way through.

The middle-aged man remained unruffled by Lee Yuanye's outburst. He glanced at Lee Yuanye and said, "Youthful arrogance is understandable. How about this: you can use any skill or artifact you like. If you can move me even a little, I'll let you pass."

"Alright, you said it!" Lee Yuanye declared, aiming all the cannons at the middle-aged man. However, Lee was careful; his target was the mountain behind the man. Despite the man's temper, he meant no harm.

"Boom..."

All the cannons fired energy orbs simultaneously, striking the mountain behind the man. Yet, something unprecedented happened. The powerful energy orbs hit the mountain like stones sinking into the sea, without causing even a ripple.

"What’s going on?" Lee Yuanye shouted in disbelief, continuing the barrage. Just like before, the energy orbs failed to make any impact, as if the mountain absorbed them.

"Don't bother. If you could shatter this mountain, I'd actually thank you," the middle-aged man said, his tone calm but tinged with regret and bitterness.

"Sir, what's happening here?" Woo Zhengyang took the opportunity to ask.

"Sigh..."

The middle-aged man glanced at Woo Zhengyang and sighed, "You young folks just can't let it go, can you? Fine, I'll make you give up completely. You came here because you heard the tales about the Human Ancestral Land being a way out of this world, right?"

"That's right. Is the story not true?"
