C679 Xiao Cui

Leaving the Water Moon Pavilion, Woo Zhengyang headed straight for the center of Profound Heaven Town.

After a short while, Bing Yue's voice suddenly echoed in his ear, "You fool, are you really that clueless? Why are you heading to the center? Don't you know that's where the most powerful martial artists are?"

Before Woo Zhengyang could respond to Bing Yue, another voice chimed in. Murong Hen appeared out of nowhere. "Hey, Lee, we meet again! But why haven't you changed your clothes yet?"

Woo Zhengyang glanced at Murong Hen, a bit suspicious.

With a grin, Murong Hen explained, "I found another disguise artist and had them tweak my look to resemble you a bit."

Woo Zhengyang finally understood. No wonder Murong Hen looked a bit different. He had altered his appearance again, and if you ignored the telltale signs of the disguise, he did resemble Woo quite a bit.

"He's really a fanboy of himself," Woo Zhengyang thought with a wry smile.

But Murong Hen's next words made Woo Zhengyang want to kick him out.

Murong Hen said, "This way, Little Cui will definitely like me!"

So, all this effort was just to win over a girl named Little Cui...

"Lee, where are you headed?" Murong Hen asked again.

"You mentioned that the experts from the Martial King Stage invited by the Heavenly Martial Sect are all at their headquarters. I'm thinking of heading over there to take a look."

"I see, I see. You're hoping to try your luck and maybe catch the eye of a Martial King expert to take you on as a student. But let me warn you, those experts have their noses in the air. Don't get your hopes up unless you come bearing a significant gift. You might not become a direct disciple, but perhaps a nominal one."

Woo Zhengyang was speechless. A stunning woman at the Martial King Stage, who also happened to be the head of the Ice Heart Sect, had just proposed to him, and he turned her down. Why would he seek out a Martial King as a mentor? Still, he did prepare a gift for them.

Naturally, Woo Zhengyang kept these thoughts to himself and instead asked, "Where are you headed, Murong?"

"To see Little Green, of course! Otherwise, by tomorrow, I'll be a mess. I need her to take a look at me right away."

Woo Zhengyang was a bit embarrassed. This guy wasn't just a chatterbox; he was also hopelessly romantic.

"Turns out we're headed in the same direction. Little Green is working as a maid at the Heavenly Martial Sect's inn. When we see her, she can give you a detailed introduction to the Martial King experts currently there."

Before Woo Zhengyang could respond, Murong Hen suddenly exclaimed, "No way, no way! Even though Little Green is at the inn, she's a huge fan of Woo Zhengyang. I can't take you to meet her."

"Why?" Woo Zhengyang asked, puzzled.

"You look way too much like Woo Zhengyang, and with such a high level of disguise, what if Little Cui falls for you?"

Woo Zhengyang was speechless. I have no interest in competing for women with you. Just now, a Martial King expert...

Thinking of this, Woo Zhengyang suddenly felt a jolt. Why do I keep thinking about Bing Yue? Is it vanity, or is there really a disaster looming?

Just then, Bing Yue's voice came again, "Woo Zhengyang, what's going on with you? Why are you heading to the Heavenly Martial Sect's base? Stop right now!"

Of course, Woo Zhengyang wasn't going to stop. He wanted to explain briefly to Bing Yue but couldn't accurately determine her location, so he remained silent.

Murong Hen, however, didn't notice Woo Zhengyang's odd behavior and continued to mumble to himself, "But it's no big deal. Your outfit is all wrong; it looks like you didn't put any effort into it. Little Cui probably won't like you."

"Don't worry about it. Just call Little Cui out when you get a chance," Woo Zhengyang said, not wanting to listen to Murong Hen's chatter any longer.

"That's fine. I'll find out and then pass the message to Brother Li. Oh, by the way, Brother Li, how can I contact you? Do you have a place to stay? If not, there's an empty room for rent in the courtyard I rented..."

"I don't need a place to stay. You'll know where to find me soon enough."

"Oh, I see. Brother Li plans to keep watch day and night at the Heavenly Martial Sect's station. Your determination is impressive, but I must remind you, there are many others like you..."

Woo Zhengyang was at a loss for words, feeling like he was about to cry. Why was Murong Hen getting more and more talkative?

With Murong Hen's constant chatter as a backdrop, the two finally arrived at the inn near the Heavenly Martial Gate. Just as Murong Hen had mentioned, the street in front of the courtyard was bustling with young cultivators.

What left Woo Zhengyang speechless was that many of these cultivators were dressed in the same ancient style with blue robes and swords. These Martial King experts were here to deal with Woo Zhengyang, the one in the blue robe and ancient sword style, yet they dressed the same way. What kind of opportunity were they hoping to find?

"We're here. I'll step aside for now. Murong, go ahead and call out your little sweetheart!" Woo Zhengyang said, bidding farewell to Murong Hen.

But Murong Hen barely heard a few words before his eyes wandered, and his face lit up with joy. "Xiao Cui!"

Following his gaze, Woo Zhengyang saw a young girl with a delicate face and two braided pigtails stepping out of the inn. There was no doubt—this was the Xiao Cui Murong Hen had been talking about endlessly.

Seeing Xiao Cui, Murong Hen had no mind for Woo Zhengyang anymore. He quickly ran over, rubbing his hands together nervously. "Xiao Cui, what brings you out here?"

"And you are?" the girl named Xiao Cui asked, puzzled, nearly making Woo Zhengyang spit out in disbelief. He had been going on and on about her, and she didn't even recognize him!

"I'm Murong Hen!" Murong Hen said without much feeling, explaining himself.

"Oh, it's Brother Murong! You've changed your appearance a bit..." Little Cui remarked, finally making Woo Zhengyang understand the situation. It wasn't that the young girl didn't recognize him; it was because this guy had disguised himself to look like someone else—specifically, like Woo Zhengyang.

Among those Little Cui recognized, it was likely not just Murong Hen who had taken on this guise. They all looked like the blue-robed ancient sword Woo Zhengyang. How could the young girl tell them apart? She had no choice but to ask for names.

"Heh, do I look more like him now?"

"I wouldn't know. I've never seen the real person, so I can't tell who resembles him more! Anyway, Brother Murong, the Grand Elder is back. They're setting up a banquet and discussing important plans. The inn is short on some supplies for the feast, so I have to hurry and buy them!"

"Are you saying Liao Qinghua is back?" Woo Zhengyang suddenly leaned in to ask upon hearing the girl's words.

"And you are?" Little Cui asked again, puzzled by the black-robed ancient sword Woo Zhengyang standing before her.

"Little Cui, this is a friend of mine, Lee Yuanye," Murong Hen said, then whispered to Woo Zhengyang, "Brother Lee, with so many people around, you shouldn't mention the Grand Elder's name so casually!"

"My apologies. May I ask, Little Cui, is it true that the Grand Elder of the Heavenly Martial Sect has returned?"

"Yes, the Grand Elder has not only returned but also brought some help. They're gathered in the main hall, discussing tomorrow's plan to break the Profound Heaven Sect's formation."

"Everyone's gathered in the main hall? That's great!" Woo Zhengyang exclaimed, turning to head towards the main entrance of the Heavenly Martial Sect's inn...
