C71 Profound Heavy Mountain(1)
At the end of the canyon stood a mountain, black as ink. This was the Profound Heavy Mountain that Zhang Caiyun had mentioned, a special gathering spot for various sects.
When Woo Zhengyang arrived at the base of the mountain, he saw three figures already there, including Zhang Caiyun, whom he had met on the way. Judging by their attire, he realized that one of the young men wielding dual blades was also a disciple of the Iron Cloud Sect, like Zhang Caiyun, while the other was from the Heavenly Martial Academy.
Zhang Caiyun looked surprised to see Woo Zhengyang emerge. She had considered the possibility that he might make it out of the canyon, but she hadn't expected him to do so with such ease and confidence, appearing even more relaxed than before.
In her surprise, Zhang Caiyun drew her sword. At the same time, the young man with the dual blades tightened his grip, and the disciple from the Heavenly Martial Academy unsheathed his sword as well. Without a word, the three of them brandished their weapons, leaving Woo Zhengyang, who usually preferred direct action, somewhat incredulous—especially since one of them was Zhang Caiyun, whose life he had once saved.
"The Mystic Trace Realm truly tests more than just strength; it tests the human heart," Woo Zhengyang thought to himself. Yet, he didn't pause and continued to walk toward the three.
"You're pretty bold! But you shouldn't have messed with us at the Martial Academy. Remember my name, Lee Kaiyuan!" A student from the academy chuckled softly, stepping forward with a flash of his long sword, aiming straight at Woo Zhengyang.
As Lee Kaiyuan made his move, the young man with dual blades and Zhang Caiyun also sprang into action, flanking Woo Zhengyang on both sides. After blocking his path, they launched their attacks.
When Lee Kaiyuan struck, the Profound Iron Number One Token was already in Woo Zhengyang's hand. Infused with energy, the token expanded to the size of a brick, colliding with Lee Kaiyuan's sword.
"Bang..."
Lee Kaiyuan's sword was likely a high-quality weapon, perhaps even mid-tier, but it couldn't compare to the top-tier Profound Iron Number One Token. Upon impact, the token remained steady in Woo Zhengyang's hand, while Lee Kaiyuan's sword was sent flying. The powerful recoil forced him to take a step back.
"Didn't you say he only knew how to fight with his fists?" Lee Kaiyuan's confident strike was easily blocked, leaving him slightly on the defensive. He turned to Zhang Caiyun with a displeased expression.
Zhang Caiyun wasn't faring any better. Her sword followed Lee Kaiyuan's, slashing at Woo Zhengyang, but he effortlessly deflected it, sending her sword flying. Being the least skilled of the three, the impact left her arm numb, forcing her to retreat three steps.
"I've never seen him use this..." Zhang Caiyun said with a bitter expression.
Although she had witnessed Woo Zhengyang in action many times, she had never seen him use anything other than his fists. When Woo Zhengyang fought those second-level demonic beasts, he always engaged them head-on. His combat skills didn't seem as formidable as the disciples of the Profound Heaven Sect claimed. So, in their plan, the three of them attacking together was supposed to end things quickly. They never expected the situation where two of them would be sent flying.
Zhang Caiyun couldn't have imagined that the beasts, which others would desperately try to kill using their strongest techniques, were merely sparring partners for Woo Zhengyang to practice his Flesh Condensing Technique.
The young man wielding dual blades was trying to block Woo Zhengyang's escape route, so his attack was the slowest. Seeing Lee Kaiyuan and Zhang Caiyun's attacks easily neutralized, he realized Woo Zhengyang was no pushover. But it was too late to retreat, so he had to improvise, swinging his blades with all his might toward Woo Zhengyang's waist from both sides.
The young man's strategy seemed sound; Woo Zhengyang only had a single Number One Token, which couldn't possibly block both blades coming at him simultaneously. However, what he didn't expect was that Woo Zhengyang wasn't planning to block at all this time.
With Sword-shaped Genuine Qi infused and the Floating Light Step executed at full force, Woo Zhengyang's speed suddenly increased. He slipped past one of the blades, moving to the young man's side.
Woo Zhengyang quickly put away the token and grabbed the young man's arm to prevent his long knife from changing direction. With his other hand, he formed a fist and struck straight at the young man's face.
"Bang..."
Even though the young man with dual blades tried to move swiftly, he was no match for Woo Zhengyang's speed. Unable to dodge in time, he took a solid punch to the chin, sending his body flying off the ground.
"Everyone, use your strongest skills!" Lee Kaiyuan shouted urgently, now fully aware of Woo Zhengyang's prowess.
However, the young man with dual blades had no chance left. As his body was airborne, Woo Zhengyang's other iron fist came crashing down. The "Tyrannical Mountain Shattering Fist" was executed to perfection, landing brutally on the young man's chest.
"Crack..."
The sound of flesh and bone breaking echoed as Woo Zhengyang's fist punched a bloody hole through the young man's chest. He was flung several yards away, landing lifelessly on a rock, beyond saving.
