C715 In the Dark

The idea of seducing Woo Zhengyang was just a playful notion from Bing Yue; she never seriously considered it. Although she had resolved early on, due to her sister's situation, to be someone who loves and hates with conviction, she couldn't bring herself to compromise her dignity by seducing a mere disciple of the Profound Heaven Sect.

Her real plan was to meet with Nie Fengyu and Woo Zhengyang to discuss borrowing the No Life Sword. If that didn't work, she would have to make a personal sacrifice by pretending to be in a relationship with Woo Zhengyang for a while.

By pretending to be a couple, Bing Yue could use this guise to appoint Woo Zhengyang as the deputy leader of the Ice Heart Sect, allowing him to face the challenges alongside her. At that point, Woo Zhengyang would likely feel secure enough to temporarily lend her the No Life Sword.

After all, with witnesses from the Golden Scale Sect present, if Bing Yue didn't return the sword, Woo Zhengyang could simply reveal the truth. If caught in such a predicament, the Ice Heart Sect might not just be replaced by Huo Dongsheng's True Sun Sect, but could be entirely absorbed by the Golden Scale Sect.

Every person and sect harbors ambition; who wouldn't want to dominate an entire region? The Golden Scale Sect wouldn't be pleased to see their subordinate area divided by other sects. No amount of offerings compares to having all resources under one's control. Under the Martial Alliance Agreement, this is a rare opportunity for annexation and expansion that they wouldn't miss.

Because of this, Bing Yue believed she could persuade Woo Zhengyang. After all, she had some history with Nie Fengyu, and the Profound Heaven Sect was in a crisis at the time. She could help them through it, so there shouldn't be much of an issue.

However, when she eagerly arrived at the gates of the Profound Heaven Sect to communicate with those inside, she was stunned to find she couldn't reach them. With no other options, she stayed in Profound Heaven Town, establishing a place called Water Moon Pavilion.

Days passed, and despite her numerous visits to the Profound Heaven Sect, she received no response. Bing Yue was growing anxious, fearing that one day Huo Dongsheng might bring his forces from the Limitless Domain to challenge the Ice Heart Sect. Without the No Life Sword, she had no chance of winning.

In her frustration, Bing Yue even considered joining those attacking the mountain protecting array of the Profound Heaven Sect, hoping to break through sooner.

It was then that Woo Zhengyang suddenly appeared in her Water Moon Pavilion. As an expert at the Martial King level, she immediately recognized the genuine No Life Sword behind him, confirming that the young man in the black robe was indeed Woo Zhengyang.

Overjoyed and surprised, she quickly had Woo Zhengyang brought up, all the while contemplating her next move. Everything was different from what she had planned; she had only met Woo Zhengyang and not Nie Fengyu. By herself, she wasn't confident she could persuade Woo Zhengyang.

Before she could fully process her thoughts, Woo Zhengyang entered the room. It was then that Bing Yue suddenly realized she hadn't had a chance to change clothes yet.

As if it were destined, the playful plan Bing Yue had joked about was coming true. There was no time to change now, and she resolved to let him have an eyeful, considering they would be pretending to be a couple soon, possibly even acting intimately.

However, Bing Yue wasn't about to let Woo Zhengyang off that easily. With a quick decision, she decided to turn the situation to her advantage and tease him a bit.

To her frustration, her sacrifice seemed wasted as Woo Zhengyang remained completely unfazed. What started as a playful game for Bing Yue escalated, leading to their first memorable encounter and the ensuing entanglements that followed, which she hadn't anticipated.

Bing Yue had only known Woo Zhengyang from rumors, imagining him as a rebellious and arrogant youth. But upon meeting him, she found he was quite different from her expectations. His calm demeanor in the face of temptation was impressive, something even seasoned practitioners might struggle with. This piqued Bing Yue's curiosity, and she found herself eager to learn more about this intriguing young man.

Woo Zhengyang never let her down, consistently surprising her time and again. Yet, Bing Yue still couldn't quite grasp who Woo Zhengyang truly was, leaving her more confused than ever.

He handled every situation with calm and precision, making moves that were nothing short of extraordinary. Whether he was being arrogant or defiant, his presence exuded an unyielding spirit and an undeniable aura of leadership.

And none of this was an act. He had appeared in Profound Heaven Town with such force, effortlessly wiping out dozens of Martial King experts and bending others to his will. Who else could achieve such feats?

Could this really be a young man who had only been training in martial arts for just over a year? Each astonishing act forced Bing Yue to reconsider her understanding of Woo Zhengyang.

Amidst her amazement, Bing Yue suddenly realized she might have found a solution to her problem. Her initial plans—borrowing the No Life Sword or even temporarily aligning with Woo Zhengyang—were merely stopgap measures, based on her assumption that they could resolve the crisis facing the Ice Heart Sect.

But what if Huo Dongsheng refused to back down, bringing in powerful allies or even the entire Yin Yang Sect? A King Rank weapon might not be enough to solve such a predicament.

Woo Zhengyang's strong presence gave Bing Yue a glimmer of hope. The King Rank weapon? That didn't matter anymore. As long as she could borrow Woo Zhengyang, even if Huo Dongsheng brought the entire Profound Heaven Sect from the Limitless Domain, it would be hard to shake the standing of the Ice Heart Sect.

So, Bing Yue approached Nie Fengyu with one goal in mind: to borrow Woo Zhengyang. Because of her sister Bing Shuang's situation, Nie Fengyu had long felt indebted to Bing Yue. Now, knowing she was in trouble, he couldn't just stand by.

Moreover, Woo Zhengyang's performance had shown Nie Fengyu that this guy was no ordinary talent. Whether it was the Profound Heaven Sect or any other, they probably couldn't keep up with him. This was the perfect chance to free Woo Zhengyang from his current constraints and let him reach greater heights.

Of course, Nie Fengyu could only agree to the meeting and not make decisions for Woo Zhengyang. So, he arranged for Bing Yue and Woo Zhengyang to meet privately.

Bing Yue was persistent, or rather, frustrated. With her charm, she couldn't win over this young man. So, she tried again, hoping to rekindle the spark of their first encounter. Unfortunately, Woo Zhengyang was unmoved, leaving Bing Yue exasperated. She had no choice but to lay all her cards on the table.

After hearing the whole story, Woo Zhengyang thought it over briefly and agreed.

Bing Yue was caught between feeling frustrated and amused. Did her charm really mean so little?
