C731 The Waterfall
Upon seeing the enormous coffin, Bing Yue's eyes widened in surprise. Even Woo Zhengyang, who was quite familiar with such things, suddenly sensed something was off. Who could possibly be inside such a massive coffin?
From above, the bronze coffin appeared to be of ordinary size, and Zhengyang hadn’t noticed anything unusual. But now, as the burial chamber seemed to expand infinitely, the coffin grew with it. Wasn't it a bit excessive for just one person's resting place? However, Zhengyang didn't have time to dwell on this; he and Bing Yue were about to land.
The bamboo grove outside looked beautiful at first glance, but upon entering, it revealed a world in ruins. Perhaps it was once a place of great beauty, now left desolate by some catastrophe. That was Zhengyang's first impression—broken and barren.
In stark contrast, this place was nothing like the bamboo grove. Although it was just a burial chamber, upon entering the vast world inside, Zhengyang found it incredibly beautiful. Lush green hills and clear waters stretched out before him, with exotic flowers and plants blooming everywhere. A waterfall cascaded down like a silver ribbon, creating a breathtaking scene.
"This... is a tomb?" Bing Yue exclaimed, unable to contain her awe at the sight below. As she noted, if one hadn’t seen the whole picture beforehand, it would be hard to believe this was a burial chamber. It looked more like a paradise on earth.
"Alright, we're about to land. Do you want to enter the Star World? It might be dangerous here."
"No way, even if it's dangerous, I want to stay with you. Besides, don't forget, I'm a Martial King expert, and you're just a little Shape Gathering Stage practitioner. If there's danger, I'll be the one protecting you, hmph..." Bing Yue said with a smug grin, her demeanor completely different from when she affectionately called him Mr. Zhengyang.
With that, Bing Yue hugged Woo Zhengyang tightly and used her energy to slow their descent.
Before long, they landed gently on a grassy field.
"The energy here is so rich!" Bing Yue exclaimed in surprise.
They had been falling quickly, so they hadn't noticed it before. Now that they were on the ground, the first thing they felt was the overwhelming richness of the energy in this world.
Indeed, it was spirit energy, not the usual Heaven and Earth Vital Energy.
Just like how spirit crystals are far more effective than Heavenly Essence Stones, spirit energy is a level above Heaven and Earth Vital Energy, allowing practitioners to refine it much faster.
Here, whether it's training or breaking through a bottleneck, everything is much easier than outside.
"Woo Zhengyang, aren't you stuck at the peak of the Shape Gathering Stage? Do you want to try breaking through here?"
What Woo Zhengyang had been considering, Bing Yue, as an Essence Shaking Stage Martial King, had also thought of. Her first thought was about Woo Zhengyang's breakthrough, which warmed his heart.
"I need a lot of energy to advance from the Shape Gathering Stage to the Reality Condensing Stage. Even with the energy here being so dense, it might not be enough to help me break through. Let's look around; maybe we'll find something else," Woo Zhengyang suggested.
"Okay!" Bing Yue nodded, then suddenly looked worried. "Woo Zhengyang, I just realized something serious."
"Something serious?"
"Yeah! This place is huge... or rather, we've been shrunk down so small. How are we supposed to get back? It's so high up, we might not be able to fly back!"
"Uh... that is a problem, but it's too late to worry about it now. If we want to get out, we'll have to find a way from inside here."
"You're right, I'm thinking too far ahead. Even if we can't find a way out, at least I've got you with me, haha... And with all this energy around, we could train until we reach the Martial Emperor level. Then we should be able to get out! Honestly, I kind of hope we don't find a way out," Bing Yue said, half-joking.
Woo Zhengyang chuckled, "No matter how abundant the energy or beautiful the scenery, this is still just a tomb. I don't want to stay in a tomb."
"Hmph... you're right... but as long as you're with me, even a tomb is okay. Haha..."
Despite the banter, Bing Yue and Woo Zhengyang began exploring their surroundings. From above, they could see the massive bronze coffin, but now that they were inside this small world, it was nowhere in sight.
Woo Zhengyang had anticipated this situation, so he had already noted the location of the bronze coffin, which was right in the direction of the waterfall ahead.
Before long, the two of them arrived at a small river, fed by the cascading waters of the waterfall. Strangely, the river was teeming with fish. It was curious to think whether these fish would grow enormous if taken outside.
Woo Zhengyang decided to give it a try. However, just as he caught a fish, his expression suddenly changed. He reached out to touch the river water. It was warm! Just like the water beneath the ice layer outside.
This was peculiar. Was the water from here flowing upwards, or was the water from above flowing down here? Why was the water temperature so much higher in the area where they had just broken through the passage? Could the true water source be in that region? Or was the water temperature naturally like this, with the overall temperature of that peculiar place being higher, thus affecting the water temperature there?
Puzzled, Woo Zhengyang placed the fish into the ocean world within the Star Bead, only to find that the fish remained unchanged, deepening his confusion.
The two continued on their journey. In this unfamiliar world, they initially refrained from flying, but upon reaching the waterfall, they had no choice but to take to the air.
Woo Zhengyang initially wanted to fly using his sword, but Bing Yue, out of habit, simply scooped him up and soared along the waterfall.
Beyond the waterfall lay a lush green meadow filled with the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers, with a small river still flowing through it. They continued along the river and soon found themselves facing another waterfall. Without hesitation, they flew up to the top of it once more. As usual, Bing Yue carried Woo Zhengyang.
Being carried by a woman while flying was something Woo Zhengyang wasn't used to, and he insisted on using his sword to fly. However, Bing Yue paid no attention to his protests and just took off with him. What left Woo Zhengyang speechless was her playful idea to carry him horizontally, which he vehemently refused, fearing the embarrassment if word got out.
"If only there were another waterfall!" Bing Yue remarked with a hint of longing after setting Woo Zhengyang down. Surprisingly, her wish came true. After ascending the next waterfall, they found yet another expanse of green meadow. Walking a bit further, they saw a white cascade hanging ahead...
