C736 The Tomb of Fuxi

"Woo Zhengyang, what's going on? What did you figure out?" Bing Yue asked after waiting for a while, unable to hold back any longer.

Zhengyang had jumped up suddenly and then just stood there, frozen. "Something's not right... something's definitely off..." he murmured to himself.

"What do you mean? What's wrong? Don't scare me like that!" Bing Yue was frightened by Zhengyang's intense expression. They were surrounded by graves, and Zhengyang was her only source of comfort, but now he seemed just as unsettled.

"Everything's off. Based on our analysis, this place should be a relic from ancient times, but such things shouldn't exist from that era!"

"Why not? Even though it's hard to admit, our power is gradually waning. The great figures of ancient times could indeed achieve incredible feats, so creating something like this isn't impossible!"

"It's true that the greats of ancient times could achieve the impossible, but don't forget, the main source of power here is the formations! And formations shouldn't have existed in ancient times!" Zhengyang said with a serious tone.

"Formations didn't exist in ancient times... Right, the ancestor of formations was Fuxi, who lived in a much earlier era... What does this mean?"

Bing Yue was just as confused!

The art of formations is said to have begun in ancient times, a legend for many. However, after exploring the sealed land, Zhengyang had encountered many ancient secrets and records, confirming that this was indeed true.

In ancient times, there were no formations, only certain restrictive methods. These methods originated from the ancestor known as Profound Mountain, primarily for sealing and defense. Despite their immense power, they were incredibly complex. During the chaotic wars among the four clans, no one had the time to learn them, so these methods never truly spread. As the ancestor and his followers left this world, these techniques gradually faded away.

In the subsequent ancient era, strength was paramount, and martial arts reigned supreme. No one paid much attention to these restrictive methods. That was until one day, an elderly man emerged, seemingly out of nowhere. Without cultivation or magical artifacts, he subdued all challengers with mysterious techniques. This marked the rise of a new pinnacle path, one that was once thriving but has now fallen into decline: the path of formations.

This elder was named Fuxi, also known as the Green Emperor. According to Woo Zhengyang and Bing Yue's theories, this place was likely crafted by a powerful being from ancient times. Yet, the presence of such a complex and powerful formation here contradicts the idea that formations didn't exist in ancient times. This suggests that this place must have existed in the ancient era.

However, according to the Unyielding Soul, this location was already a secret place in ancient times, with its origins unknown. All these questions form a perplexing loop, leaving Woo Zhengyang bewildered. He pondered for a long time but couldn't make sense of it all.

After organizing his thoughts, Woo Zhengyang suddenly had a bold idea!

“Could this be the work of Patriarch Fuxi?”

Regardless of whether it was the ancient or prehistoric era, no one could master the art of formations like the Azure Emperor Fuxi. Woo Zhengyang couldn't think of anyone else capable of creating such exquisite and deadly formations outside.

With this in mind, Woo Zhengyang focused on the foremost tombstone in the graveyard cluster. Although the entire graveyard was desolate, the graves were arranged in a somewhat deliberate manner, as if planned by the person buried there. Only the foremost tombstone stood out, occupying its own space, as if it had been constructed on a whim.

“Follow me!” Woo Zhengyang grabbed Bing Yue's hand and led her back to the spot where they first entered the graveyard cluster. This unique grave was right there, the first thing they had noticed.

The Tomb of the Azure Sun Martial Emperor!

“The Tomb of the Azure Sun Martial Emperor? What’s unusual about it?” Bing Yue asked, puzzled.

“Remember what I told you about my experience in the sealed land?”

“You mean the Azure Sun Martial Mansion?”

“Exactly. My first stop in the sealed land was the Azure Sun Martial Mansion. There, I encountered a unique little world called the Azure Sun Realm, filled with extraordinary skyscrapers. According to Lee Yuanye, the master of that realm came from the same place as him, a world called Earth.”

"Is there a connection between the two?"

"When I first came across the Azure Sun Martial Emperor, I thought of the Azure Sun Martial Mansion and the Azure Sun Realm, but I dismissed it as a coincidence. However, as I was organizing my thoughts, I suddenly remembered something that made me feel this might not be a coincidence at all!"

As he spoke, Woo Zhengyang pulled out a book from his storage ring. The book was new, but its contents were ancient—a cookbook! Yes, this was the cookbook that Woo Zhengyang and Lee Yuanye had acquired during their second visit to the Azure Sun Martial Mansion, after Lee Yuanye had taken it.

Initially, Woo Zhengyang wasn't particularly interested in the cookbook, but its unique approach to ingredient configuration caught his attention. The way it preserved the essence of the ingredients was akin to setting up a formation, and since Woo Zhengyang was keen on formations, he couldn't help but study it.

During his studies, Woo Zhengyang inadvertently noticed the name of the cookbook's author—Fuxi! At the time, he didn't think much of it, assuming the author had borrowed the name of the formation's founder to enhance the cookbook's value. Now, connecting all the dots, Woo Zhengyang had a different perspective.

"Are you saying the author of this cookbook is the founder of formations, Fuxi?" Bing Yue asked incredulously, looking at the signature on the cookbook.

"I'm afraid that's how it is. This means the true master of the Azure Sun Martial Mansion is actually Patriarch Fuxi. In other words, Patriarch Fuxi's real title is the Azure Sun Martial Emperor, and this tombstone before us belongs to Emperor Fuxi!"

"This... this is unbelievable! Are we really looking at the burial site of the founder of the Formation Path?"

"What's even more incredible is that if Lee Yuanye's guess is correct, the founding ancestor of the Formation Path, Fuxi, comes from the same place as he does..."

"That's not the main issue. The real problem is if this is the mausoleum built by Patriarch Fuxi, how do we get out of here? I don't want to be trapped here and end up with my own tombstone!" Bing Yue said bitterly.

"What I'm more curious about is, if this is the mausoleum built by Patriarch Fuxi, who was it built for?"

"As for the way out, I might have found some clues..."
