C752 Void Stone

"Void Stone?"

"Yeah, those rocks drifting around outside," Bing Yue said, pointing to the fragments outside the window.

"Is there something special about these stones?"

"They weren't anything special before, maybe just ordinary rocks. But once they enter the void, they change. Even though this part of the void is weaker, it still holds a strong void power. These stones, infused with void power over countless years, become incredibly hard, making them perfect for crafting magical weapons."

"Who would've thought the void had such benefits?"

"Exactly. And it's said that deeper in the void, there are even more amazing treasures. But even the most powerful organizations, like Qian's firm, can't explore that far. The only thing people can get their hands on is the Void Stone."

"How do you get a Void Stone? Why did you say it's a matter of luck?"

"Void Stones drift aimlessly in the void. Sometimes they seem close enough to touch, but the next moment they're gone. Fast-moving vehicles can push them further away, making them hard to catch. To give travelers a chance, Qian's firm's vehicles stop for a day midway. When the vehicle is stationary, the rear platform opens up, and people can wait there. If you're lucky, a Void Stone might come your way, but it's rare. Many people ride several times without getting one, so it's really about luck."

"Is that so? How did it go for you last time?"

"Not great. I waited around all day, and didn't even catch a glimpse of a Void Stone. It was a total waste of a spirit crystal."

"You need a spirit crystal just to try your luck?"

"Of course! Did you think Qian's firm would be so generous as to let you hang around for free?" Bing Yue scoffed.

"Business is business," Woo Zhengyang chuckled.

Even though Qian's firm had its quirks, it was still a business at heart. Zhengyang was just making an offhand comment; after all, it's only natural for a business to charge for its services.

A few days later, a sweet voice announced to the passengers that the airship would soon be stopping. Those interested in catching a Void Stone could purchase tickets at the rear platform.

"Let's go!" Bing Yue had been looking forward to this day for a long time. Hearing the announcement, she jumped up excitedly and urged Woo Zhengyang.

"Alright!" Woo Zhengyang couldn't dampen Bing Yue's enthusiasm, so he stood up as well.

Bing Yue happily linked arms with Woo Zhengyang as they left their compartment. They happened to meet a young couple emerging from the opposite compartment, and with a nod of acknowledgment, both pairs headed toward the back of the airship.

The massive airship stretched hundreds of yards from end to end, but fortunately, Bing Yue and Woo Zhengyang were already near the rear, saving them a long walk.

Even so, the two had to pass through more than thirty train cars, including those with seats for couples, luxury seating, and even a few private, enclosed cars. Although they couldn't see inside, the exterior decor hinted at their exclusivity. According to Bing Yue, these cars weren't for sale; they were reserved for very distinguished guests.

Coincidentally, as Woo Zhengyang and Bing Yue walked past one of these private cars, its door started to open. Both couldn't help but glance over, curious about the kind of person who occupied such a unique space. However, the door only opened briefly before slamming shut, revealing just a fleeting glimpse of a petite woman's silhouette.

They didn't think much of it and continued toward the end of the train. Unbeknownst to them, after they left, the woman inside the private car let out a sigh of relief, her hand pressed to her chest.

Meanwhile, Woo Zhengyang had no idea that as they headed to the back of this train, on another train somewhere across the vast distance, a young man dressed in a fine robe, yet with a slightly roguish air, was also making his way to the rear platform.

"What kind of train is this? It's clearly a knock-off, with all these attendants and conductors. I have to visit Central City and find out who’s behind this Qian's firm!" the young man muttered to himself.

"Oh man, where did the boss go, and that girl Blackie, where did they disappear to? This place is huge, how am I supposed to find you guys?" The man grumbled as he walked, clearly frustrated. It was none other than Lee Yuanye.

Meanwhile, at Lee Yuanye's destination on the Central Continent, a woman shrouded in a black cloak stood motionless amidst the fog-covered ruins. "Is this... the origin of my Moon Clan? Are we really the only ones left? What should I do now?" she pondered.

Elsewhere on the Central Continent, in front of a massive mountain gate, stood four striking figures: Bing'er, Li'er, Jing'er, and Huo'er.

"Bing'er, is this the current Ice Crystal Fire Palace?" Huo'er asked.

"Yes, but we can't go in just yet."

"Why not?"

"Don't you want to go back and find the young master?"

"Even if we take a look inside, it doesn't conflict with finding the young master! They can't exactly hold us against our will. After all, the four of us are like their ancestors."

"If someone suddenly appeared claiming to be your ancestor, but their skills were much weaker than yours, would you be thrilled?"

"Well... they wouldn't dare disrespect their ancestors, right?"

"It's complicated. Let's settle nearby for now. We can learn more about the current state of the Ice Crystal Fire Palace and continue searching for the young master."

“Central Plains is so vast, how are we supposed to find him...” Huo'er said, feeling frustrated.

“With determination, we’ll find him eventually,” Bing'er reassured with a smile.

“Bing'er is right, but I worry he might not have landed in the Central Plains. If he ended up in one of the other thirty-six regions, it’ll be even harder to locate him,” Li'er chimed in.

“Yeah, no one knew the teleportation array would scatter people randomly. If we had known, we should have entered the Ice Crystal Fire Hall beforehand.”

“There's no point dwelling on it now. For the time being, let’s search around the Central Plains. If we don’t find him, we’ll head to the Golden Scale Domain. Maybe, as Jing'er suggested, the teleportation array sent us to our most familiar place, which is here. His most familiar place might be the Golden Scale Domain.”

As Bing'er spoke, she glanced at the Ice Crystal Fire Palace ahead, then towards the direction of the Golden Scale Domain, her expression filled with concern.
