C76 Purpleclothed Youth(2)
These ancient relics have been passed down through the ages. The secret realm is quite similar to the space within the Mirror of Inquiry. Woo Zhengyang, who once conquered all nine levels of the Mirror of Inquiry, certainly understands their significance.
Upon entering the Light Door, Woo Zhengyang can pass directly through Profound Heavy Mountain and continue up the staircase, where even tougher trials await him. Without hesitation, he chooses to ascend.
The recent battle with the humanoid puppet has further enhanced Woo Zhengyang's physical cultivation. Most importantly, he realizes that fighting the puppet significantly boosts his combat experience, proving more effective than his recent spar with Zhang Caiyun and the others. For Woo Zhengyang, whose strength is rapidly increasing but lacks combat experience, this is a godsend.
Another set of eighteen steps lies ahead, each feeling heavier than the last. To his surprise, Woo Zhengyang discovers that by controlling the flow of energy within him, he can lessen the pressure exerted by the Profound Heavy Stones—a welcome and unexpected benefit.
After the eighteen steps, Woo Zhengyang finds himself in another unique space. It resembles a training room, indistinguishable in size from the previous one. However, he quickly notices the difference: this time, two humanoid puppets emerge from the wall ahead.
"Is that it?" Woo Zhengyang was a bit surprised.
For someone as physically strong as him, one puppet or two didn't make much difference; neither could inflict any serious harm.
"I hope they'll surprise me," Woo Zhengyang thought as he charged forward.
The two humanoid puppets didn't disappoint; they indeed gave Woo Zhengyang quite a shock.
Not long after he rushed in, the two puppets started pummeling him, just like before, leaving him with no room to dodge.
Although they looked identical, these two puppets were faster and stronger than the one he had faced earlier.
If that were all, Woo Zhengyang wouldn't have been in such a tough spot; he had mentally prepared for this.
The reason he got beaten again was that he underestimated the puppet creator's skills. The creator had managed to make the two puppets work together seamlessly, like real people, without worrying about getting hurt or dying.
They even used their adhesive abilities skillfully, making it hard for Woo Zhengyang to defend himself.
This situation persisted for about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn before Woo Zhengyang finally adapted to the puppets' teamwork and began to hold his own against them.
Half an hour later, the humanoid puppets retreated, and the light door and staircase reappeared. Despite the bruises covering his body, Woo Zhengyang pressed on, determinedly charging up the next set of stairs. After climbing another eighteen steps, he found himself in another training room, facing more humanoid puppets. This time, there were three of them, each wielding a stone knife...
At the base of Profound Heavy Mountain, a young man in a purple outfit stood with a spear in hand, glaring at Lee Kaiyuan's lifeless body, seething with rage. Not far away, a young woman in blue stood timidly, her attire indicating she was a disciple of the Azure Cloud Sect. The young man in purple suddenly looked up and shouted at her, "You dare to kill a disciple of the Heavenly Martial Academy? You've got some nerve!"
"Brother, it wasn't me... How could I possibly take on all three of them? Besides, look at their wounds; they weren't caused by a sword!" The young woman stammered in fear, holding up her sword to prove her innocence.
"Trying to fool me with such petty tricks, huh?" the young man in purple scoffed, thrusting his spear toward her. She raised her sword to defend herself but was no match for him, stumbling back several steps before regaining her balance.
"I’m willing to give up all my demon cores and spirit herbs..." the girl in blue pleaded.
"The lives of my Heavenly Martial Academy comrades can't be compensated with a few spirit herbs and demon cores," the young man in purple continued to advance.
"I have a Seven-Star Flower!"
"A Seven-Star Flower? Alright... let me see it."
"Okay!" the girl in blue agreed, starting to open her bag.
Just then, the young man in purple was already in front of her, thrusting his spear forward.
"You..." the girl in blue gasped, trying to dodge but it was too late; the spear pierced her heart.
"I knew you couldn't have killed those three, but you were too naive. I was only interested in your body, but you mentioned something that piqued my interest even more."
As he spoke, the young man in purple rummaged through her bag, finding several jade boxes, one containing a small flower with seven stars on its leaves.
After securing his loot, he glanced at the bodies of Lee Kaiyuan and his companions.
"Lee Kaiyuan? If someone targeted you three, there must be something valuable involved. I suppose I’ll do you the favor of avenging you."
With that, the young man in purple hefted his blood-stained spear and began ascending the steps of Profound Heavy Mountain...
