C763 Sun Mingyang

"If only there were a second core to store Void Power," Woo Zhengyang mused, unaware that the Void Power had already sown the seeds of trouble for him. He was still fixated on absorbing more.

When he opened his eyes, Woo Zhengyang was startled to find Bing Yue glaring at him with a frosty expression.

"What’s wrong?" Woo Zhengyang asked, puzzled.

"What’s wrong? You tell me! I’m going to bite you!" Bing Yue suddenly erupted, tackling Woo Zhengyang to the ground and playfully nibbling at his neck.

The scene rewinds to an hour earlier.

As Bing Yue waited impatiently, the second Void Stone finally began to move. However, it was slowly drifting away. Seeing this, Bing Yue clenched her teeth and fists in frustration. Twice now, she had narrowly missed the Void Stone, and her exasperation was understandable.

For the next hour, Bing Yue did nothing but contemplate how to vent her anger on Woo Zhengyang once he woke up. During this time, she remained vigilant, keeping a close eye on the edge of the void, worried that the Void Stone might tease her again.

Unfortunately, luck did not favor her again, leading to the moment when Bing Yue fiercely pounced on Woo Zhengyang.

After hearing Bing Yue recount the events, Woo Zhengyang touched the bite marks on his neck, feeling utterly helpless. He never expected the rare Void Stone to appear twice in their area, and both times they missed it. It was truly frustrating.

"Don't be upset. I promise I'll get you a Void Stone, okay?" Woo Zhengyang reassured her. After all, Bing Yue missed the Void Stone twice because she was worried about his safety, so he felt responsible.

"You said it, don't forget!"

"Don't worry. We'll see if anyone has a Void Stone, and I'll buy it for you," Woo Zhengyang promised.

"That's more like it," Bing Yue said with a playful glance, leaning close to his neck. "Did I bite too hard? Does it still hurt? Let me blow on it."

"No need..." Woo Zhengyang quickly refused, still a bit shaken by her red lips.

"Hehe... If you provoke me again, I'll bite you all over and leave my mark," Bing Yue said smugly, making Woo Zhengyang shiver.

"By the way, what happened earlier? Why did you suddenly have such intense killing intent?" Bing Yue asked.

"It was to absorb the Void Power. It's a very violent force, so I thought I'd meet it with the same intensity," Woo Zhengyang explained.

"Did you succeed in the end?"

"No, our own intent to kill can't even compare to the violent power contained within the Void Power."

"Oh, that's understandable. Don't take it too hard. So many people have tried to absorb the Void Power, and only a few have succeeded. Plus, those who did were at least at the Martial King Stage. You're just a small-time practitioner at the Shape Gathering Stage. It's a blessing you weren't seriously hurt by the backlash," Bing Yue comforted.

"What? Are you saying you actually absorbed the Void Power?" Bing Yue exclaimed in disbelief.

Woo Zhengyang nodded with a smile and extended his hand. With a thought, a jet-black energy appeared in his palm. As soon as it emerged, it sent a chill through the air, making everyone uncomfortable. This was the hallmark of the Void Power.

"You... you really absorbed the Void Power. Throughout history, there's never been a practitioner below the Martial King Stage who could successfully absorb it. You truly are a man who creates miracles..." Bing Yue stammered.

When Bing Yue first mentioned merging with the Void Power, it was just to give Woo Zhengyang a sense of it, to let him try it out without expecting success. Even she didn't hold much hope; otherwise, she wouldn't have been so laid-back about it.

Now, Woo Zhengyang had proven with real results that he could actually do it, leaving Bing Yue unable to remain calm.

"I barely made it out alive... just got lucky," he said.

Woo Zhengyang then recounted everything he had just experienced to Bing Yue, so she could better understand the dangers of Void Power and be more prepared when she tried to harness it herself.

A day passed quickly, and Bing Yue didn't attempt to absorb Void Power again. Even with Woo Zhengyang's success as a guide, Void Power was incredibly dangerous for practitioners in the normal world. Even though Bing Yue was at the Martial King Stage, there were no guarantees.

The two left the area, and others were also emerging from the small world. Some people showed no expression, while others looked frustrated. It was unclear if they had gained anything.

As they exited the high-level area and approached the entrance to the small world, they found a bustling crowd. From a distance, Woo Zhengyang and Bing Yue heard a familiar voice shouting.

"Sun Mingyang, you're really asking for it."

"Don't push me too far!"

"Push you? I'm just here to collect my family's debts."

As they got closer, they saw the source of the familiar voice. It was Sun Mingyuan from the Sun family of Golden Scale City, the same guy who had tried to flirt with Bing Yue before she turned the tables on him, leaving him to scurry away in embarrassment.

Standing across from Sun Mingyuan were a man and a woman, whom Woo Zhengyang and Bing Yue surprisingly recognized. They were the couple living opposite them. From Sun Mingyuan's words and their names, it seemed there was a special connection between them.

"Collecting a debt? What debt?"

"You've been living off the Sun family for over twenty years, using up a lot of resources. Do you think you can just walk away?" Sun Mingyuan pressed aggressively.

"You..." The young man, Sun Mingyang, was flushed with anger, pointing at Sun Mingyuan but unable to speak.

"What do you mean, 'you'? Keeping you alive is already generous of the Sun family. Do you think you can rebel? And from now on, change your name. The Sun family name isn't for someone like you."

Sun Mingyuan continued to push, and Sun Mingyang's eyes were nearly ablaze with fury, wishing he could devour Sun Mingyuan on the spot. But then, glancing at the woman behind him, Sun Mingyang suppressed his rage and said quietly, "Fine, I'll change my name. And the debt to the Sun family, I'll repay it double."
