C1 The two lives

It was a grey wet morning and the atmosphere was grim, in a large graveyard are people dressed in black, it shows a burial session.

Present is a beautiful young Anastasia McCain whose face shows nothing but icy waves of despair hidden under her black shade. This was the only way to hide her swollen eyes from people, well according to her strict step mother Mrs Laura McCain.

The McCain's just lost the man of the family and the burial ground was soon filled with arrival of other friends and business partners.

Anastasia has been crying her heart out since yesterday when the doctor announced that her father was dead, her bruised knees still hurt from her sudden fall on the hospital ground.

The once beautiful life of this young girl was over in a flash, now left with her evil stepmother and stepsister.

Tears welled up her sights unable to accept the reality in front of her but then she was called upon to put flowers on her father’s grave.

That was when reality hits her hard and tears flowed down her cheeks relentlessly like a vast waterfall.

Her subconscious mind had seen her stepmother and stepsister carrying out the formalities but her gaze was distant and lost in thoughts.

With wobbling feet, she took tentative steps towards the grave and dropped her own flowers, there was nothing she can do.

To fall on her father's grave and cry from today till tomorrow, she knew it won't bring her father back, she has always been a strong girl ever since her stepmom came into her life.

She never grew up to know her real mother because she had passed immediately she was born,

Her father treated her like a princess and remarried for her sake not knowing what lies ahead of his rough decision.

Anastasia was a girl with bubbly and attractive character despite the ugly treatment from her stepmother and stepsister, she never cared because her father was there for her but now he is gone.

The once bright face of gorgeous Anastasia has been replaced with a grim countenance. Her glossy brown eyes filled with tears.

Her father’s body hadn't settle down when she heard her stepmother discussing about the properties with the lawyer.

Her heart was torn and the reality ripping her soul away from her.

Soon, deepening shadows of clouds appeared against the fading layers of the clear but not so bright sky considering it was a gloomy morning from the start.

The wind became icy and withering making people return back to their respective cars and her stepmother retreating from behind her yet she was frozen in place.

Thunderstorm striking across the dark clouds with the rain threatening to fall, a flurry of rain stung her straight caved nose forcing her to blink from ghostly state.

An umbrella came over her head immediately and the downpour started. She glanced over her shoulder to see Ria, their housemaid who has been with them since she was a kid.

Ria loved Anastasia so much and took her like her younger sister. Despite being older than her, they still relate do well like friends.

Her heart beat soon came to relieving pace on seeing Ria with her, she seems to be the only true person left for her.

She collapsed on her shoulder letting out all her emotions and Ria wasted no time in receiving her under her umbrella.

BLACK MANSION

Starting out of the window of a big mansion is a woman looking so depressed and rubbing her potruded stomach carefully, she is carrying a baby.

Lola’s sense of exploration for the rain was interrupted when she picked approaching footsteps outside of her door.

She hurried on her feet to crease a sheet of paper in her hands before stashing it into the secret box under her bed.

Her giant door flung open, to reveal her mother-in-law and heart almost jumped out of her chest but she contained herself.

“Where is the letter?” Mrs Black queried with undisguised contempt for the poor woman.

“Here it is mother” she said stretching another sheet of paper to the fierce looking elegant woman.

She fired back at her “Dont you dare call me mother you gold digger!” she yelled.

Lola lowered her head in disappointment, she never knew her mother-in-law hates her this much.

She had tricked her into getting married to her son because she got pregnant for him during their courtship.

Mrs Black, a female CEO of the best company in the city only to find out that his only son fell in love with a commoner, to make matter worse, she was pregnant.

She felt so embarrased and all the taunts from her friends got her furious that she devised a plan. She got married to late Mr.Black to seal a business deal and she wanted the same for her son, to get married to a rich heiress. Just like her plan to kill two birds with one stone, she got them married on the basis of his son Morgan Black, to come back home and look after the family business.

Now that he was away on a business trip, she decided to force Lola out of the house hence making her write a fake letter that she was leaving on her own accord.

Mrs.Black had threatened Lola to attest to the allegations pushed on her in return for a safe escape from the mansion else, she would force a poison down her throat and kill the baby.

Out of fear, she wrote the letter stating that she got married to Black for his money and other terrible confessions but she had hidden another letter for Morgan hoping he would see it and come looking for her.

What choice did she have since her phone and other means to contact Morgan has been taken away from her, she was trapped in the mansion like a slave.
